Attitudes towards educators, learning processes, and learning materials are all quantifiable. Individuals’ initial knowledge is determined by their ability to use information technology, their willingness to use it, and their perceptions of computer and internet reliability. This research focuses on undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students at Universitas Negeri Surabaya, which is located in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. This research utilized a non-experimental quantitative design. This research used questionnaires serving as the data collection instrument. The findings indicated that attitudes towards online learning varied according to one’s initial level of competence and education. Despite this, there was no gender disparity in students’ attitudes towards online learning. The degree to which students are responsible for online learning varies according to their baseline competence and education level. The study uses a repeated measures design with pairwise comparisons while controlling for instructor, students, and course content across these modes of instruction. The study examines the following six perceptions held by students: instructional aspects such as instructor facilitation, student-to-student interaction, instructor-to-student interaction, course design, learning outcomes, and student satisfaction. The study also examines actual student performance on homework, quizzes, and exams. All findings were interesting and insightful. Student perceptions of almost all instructional aspects were significantly higher for the in-class mode than the two online modes of instruction. However, actual student performance was significantly better for online modes of instruction. The discussion section triangulates these statistical results with a review of 3000+ open-ended student responses to explain results, provide guidelines, and suggest future research. Despite the wide currency it enjoys, Spanish might sometimes pose problems to its learners concerning grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. However, technological advancements have proposed workable solutions and fostered learning through products tailored to specific learner needs. In this respect, this review sought to evaluate SpanishDict following Kohnke & Moorhouse’s recommendations. It demonstrated that the application's most potentially powerful aspect was the interactive grammar instruction practice supported by contextualized videos that fostered an immersive language learning experience. It also found that the situational, thematic, and visually endorsed drills might encourage vocabulary learning. It was further discovered that the audiovisual input supplied through captioned pronunciation videos in Castilian and Latin American, which are the two mainstream varieties of Spanish, might foster prospective learners’ phonological awareness. However, not all language teachers are mindful about using technology in their language teaching practices, owing to their lack of adequate digital competencies. The purpose of this research is to promote digital competencies and related components among the study participants. This investigation applies the 2019 Framework of Competency Profile for digital teachers. The results were obtained by quantitative analysis, using data collected from a sample of 151 language learners, all enrolled in BA English language programs across 8 universities in Saudi Arabia. The findings demonstrated participants’ highest and lowest digital competencies, leading the researcher to identify practical implications, particularly regarding how to conduct training to compensate for low competencies. The findings also revealed that there is no correlation between levels of study and digital competencies. There was also no influence of gender on digital competencies. It has progressively spread in the higher education systems. Enquiring distinct blended learning environments with a queer focus on social presence should assist academics in the better formulation of highly effective and efficient learning platforms. This study investigated the social presence as one of the main elements of the community of inquiry framework sodality together with its blinkers relevant to three varying blended learning platforms within higher education. Whilst the responding sample population was 348 Malaysian undergraduates from multiple universities, the data collection tool was a questionnaire employed from past studies. Departing from the in-depth needs analysis carried out and the research method used, namely research and development, the researcher then designs a prototype of teaching materials that will be developed in the form of modules and learning videos. After that, the prototype was validated by two experts in the field of teaching material development. The results showed that 20 students out of a total of 27 respondents saw that they needed the latest learning modules and videos that could make it easier for them to complete the subject matter because what had been used by lecturers so far still made it difficult for them to learn because the instruction and exposure to information did not meet the needs of students. The prototype modules and learning videos that have been developed are declared valid by experts in several aspects, namely self-instruction aspects, self-contained aspects, stand-alone aspects, adaptive aspects, and user-friendly aspects, so they are suitable for use by lecturers because they can help student’s complete lessons so that their learning outcomes can improve.\u0000Keywords: Prototypes, modules, learning videos, statistics, new normal, COVID-19","PeriodicalId":36811,"journal":{"name":"World Journal on Educational Technology: Current Issues","volume":"60 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90928089","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research method measures the effectiveness of internet mobile application technology for problem-based learning in Unesa campus environment. The results of expert validation test data and performance tests were analyzed using a descriptive form of percentage assessment of the observer team. The test results of media product experts and practitioners scored 100% excellently, and Special Education experts scored 87%. Then the effectiveness test through main field testing five visually impaired students affected by the Covid 19 pandemic scored 93% excellent (1 person), a score of 75%  good (2 people), and a score of 62% adequate (2 people). Operational field testing, ten people from the Indonesian visual impairment association group and the Surabaya and Sidoarjo inclusive high school groups scored 100% excellent (one person), score 94% very good (three people), score 81% good (one person) and score 81%-84% very good (three people), score 65%- 70% adequate (two people), The conclusion of the results of data analysis of expert validation tests, practitioners suggest that the product is feasible to be tested in the field. Thus, students received their education at home through using technology. During this crisis, there was great fear among students and parents from getting infected with the Coronavirus.  Therefore, the current study examined the psychological confrontation methods used by parents to reduce their fears of having their children infected with the Coronavirus in Jordan. The researchers adopted the survey-based descriptive approach. The sample consists of four hundred and seventy-three (473) mothers and fathers who were randomly selected from Jordan. Online survey was used to obtain data from them.  After the use of the SPSS program, the researchers found that the level of the parents’ fear of having their children infected with COVID 19 virus is high.  It was found that the measure carried out the most by parents for avoiding the infection of their sons and daughters with the virus is represented in following the guidelines and preventive measures issued by healthcare organizations. In addition, the researchers found that there isn’t any statistically significant difference between the respondents in terms of the used psychological confrontation methods which can be attributed to the age of son/daughter nor respondents` academic qualification. However, it was found that there are statistically significant differences in this regard which can be attributed to the respondents` age and the province they reside at. The latter differences are for the favor of the ones whose ages range between (20 – 30) years. They are also for the favor of the ones residing in the Central and Northern Provinces of Jordan.\u0000Keywords: Coronavirus; Psychological confrontation; Survey-based approach ","PeriodicalId":36811,"journal":{"name":"World Journal on Educational Technology: Current Issues","volume":"29 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76532819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
