The advancement of energy storage technologies has given the potential to fully electrify future transport systems. The means of electrifying aircraft are to reduce carbon emission and increase efficiency in air transport. This paper studies the feasibility of developing an all-electric short to midrange aircraft. The study investigates the possibility of replacing the aircraft’s conventional system with an all-electric drive train. Using the current conventional aircraft model, different types of electrical systems are compared to examine their advantages and limitations. The parameters of De Havilland Canada Dash 8 (DH8D) and the average flight are used to analyze the feasibility of completing a desired range. The results show that the electrification of aircraft with the studied propulsion system is not feasible for the conventional range, but producing an all-electric aircraft is possible when the technology allows for it. Additionally, a reliability analysis is conducted for both the conventional and the electrified version of aircraft, including different electric topologies, whereas a multiple electric motor topology is nearly as available as the conventional one.","PeriodicalId":363631,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems (ICOECS)","volume":"6 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123542988","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An important component of this concept is the use of one starter generator (SG) instead of two separate electric machines for starting the engine and powering on-board consumers. Permanent magnet (PM) machines are good candidates for use as SG in an automobile due to advantages such as high power density, torque, and energy efficiency. This article presents a thermal analysis of the generator mode of SG operation. First, the necessity of conducting such a study in order to obtain a forecast of the maximum temperatures of the winding and magnets is justified. Next, we describe the formulation of the problem of 2-D modeling of the temperature field in convective heat exchange with the environment under conditions of natural heat removal and forced blowing of the finned housing. As a result of FE modeling, the temperature state of the active parts of the SG is estimated and recommendations are given for the choice of insulating and magnetic materials.","PeriodicalId":363631,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems (ICOECS)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125487317","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The intellectualization of mechatronic components, as part of the Functional Networking Components, has become a catalyst for the development of security systems in the interaction of humans and autonomous mobile transport devices, and control systems for these devices. This has led to the development of new sensor systems, wireless communication interfaces and navigation algorithms. The paper proposes a model of a scanning information and navigation system, consisting of distributed scanning cells matrix developed on FPGA. Each scanning cell has a specific area of responsibility and interacts with the nearest cells. The scanning system makes it possible to realize in real time the tasks of navigation and route planning by mobile autonomous devices. In addition, scanning information and navigation system permits to localize the movement of mobile devices and personnel. Scanning information and navigation system allows providing the necessary assistance in real time to all traffic participants in their area of responsibility in case of emergency. The development of the scanning cells computing core was based on the FPGA digital non-volatile matrix MAX 10 family of INTEL brand. While creating a communication link for scanning cell based on FPGA, Data-Strobe coding, with an LVDS signal level, showed a good result. LVDS - levels have high noise immunity and energy efficiency, which is important in an industrial environment with a high level of interference. The simulation results of control applications prototype of the scanning cell, the technical characteristics of the resources necessary for its creation are presented. Algorithms for the interaction of a scanning information and navigation system and mobile stand-alone devices are discussed.","PeriodicalId":363631,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems (ICOECS)","volume":"765 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117015920","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of the technological processes of oil production and transportation are implemented using electric energy. Moreover, the most energy-intensive industries are mechanized production, maintenance of reservoir pressure, preparation and pumping of oil and gas. The modern oil production process is complicated by the growth of hard-to-recover deposits, increased water cut, product paraffinization, etc. Additional difficulties are associated with the fact that most of the fields are in the late stages of operation, which are characterized by a decrease in oil production due to the extraction the huge amount of the reserves from the bowels. All this leads to an additional increase in electricity consumption. The article considers the problem of reducing electricity consumption in the oil industry in oil production. The use of even the latest types of oil-producing equipment, often does not lead to a reduction in energy consumption. Therefore, a method is proposed for reducing the level of energy consumed by properly adjusting the geological and physical values (characterizing the structure of the deposit) and technological (characterizing the method, production technology, and the effect of interfering injection wells) performance indicators of oil wells, affecting the coefficient of productivity and the coefficient of coverage of the reservoir by water flooding. The regulation of indicator values is achieved through the selection of geological and technical measures based on the developed regression models and the multicriteria optimization method - finding the Pareto set. Even small mistakes and shortcomings in the selection and planning of optimal geological and technical measures can be accompanied by great damage to the oil company. This article presents an acceptance support algorithm to improve the efficiency of oil wells, which allows to select the most effective geological and technical measures for the oil well in question, which increase the productivity coefficient and reduce the value of the coefficient of reservoir coverage by water flooding. The article proposes a structural diagram of a decision support system for specialists and heads of geophysical services, describes in detail the functions of all the modules that make up the decision support system.","PeriodicalId":363631,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems (ICOECS)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127263876","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of biogas which comes from agricultural waste (crop production, animal husbandry) as a fuel for SOFC will ensure energy safety and environmental friendliness of remote agricultural enterprises. The object of the research is a livestock complex that consumes electricity from the centralized distribution electrical network (CDEN) through an extended power transmission line. Research on efficient use of a combined generation system based on SOFC has been carried out. Biogas from cattle bio-waste is a fuel for SOFC. An algorithm to determine the optimal SOFC capacity has been developed. The algorithm takes into account SOFC’s thermal energy which can be used for heating a livestock complex and possibilities of selling surplus electricity from the SOFC to the CDEN. The paper also analyzes overall enterprise costs for energy supply as an optimization criterion, taking into account electricity tariffs. The obtained results can be used to justify energy and economic efficiency of deploying on-site biogas-powered SOFCs power plants into power supply systems of livestock complexes.","PeriodicalId":363631,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Conference on Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems (ICOECS)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126925211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
