Abstract

Superconducting electrical machine could possesses extremely high specific power. Ring winding consists of double pancake racetrack coil could applied as armature winding. Application of HTS in windings of electrical machine is a complex task due to their properties which have nonlinear dependency on temperature, magnetic field and mechanical conditions. Different techniques of HTS windings parameters calculating are known but experimental data are still limited. In this paper, a comprehensive approach is presented, which includes experimental and theoretical studies of HTS windings operating in various magnetic systems.
