One of the ways through which organizations do improve their performance is by strong team of leadership among their executives. Innovation is a critical force in the improvement of organizational performance and in enhancing economic growth and development. More so, organizations must be innovative to survive and flourish in the competitive and rapidly changing environment. All hypotheses are null & tested on the basis of available documented researches, are empirical in nature preferably have been conducted at national & international level. As far as Indian scenario is concerned organizational survival is much more based on task oriented leadership at the same time in Western Culture it is more process oriented. It is therefore recommended that managers should: strive to become role models to their subordinates. The need of this study also force us to think that the way companies conduct business locally and globally, are changing rapidly and hence there is a critical need for managers and leaders to change their style of functioning (Charan, 2007; Hamel, 2007).
