Through a precise assessment of effects on traffic and air quality caused by such measures, their planning and implementation can be conducted on an informed basis, potentially improving effectiveness. In this paper, requirements and components of a software-aided impact assessment of environmentally-focused traffic management measures are described. In the research project ‘school’, a respective software is developed and put to test in the city of Frankfurt am Main.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"48 1","pages":"211-219"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91003435","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To avoid disruptions of dependent systems during malfunctions or failures of measuring equipment, replacement value procedures are applied. In this paper, a clusterbased approach for identifying adequate replacement values for traffic counts from stationary traffic detectors is introduced. Statistical and spatial aspects are considered in the approach. Both absolute values as well as temporal dynamics of traffic counts could be determined with high accuracy.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"9 1","pages":"184-191"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84753192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A research environment was implemented in the form of a spatial data infrastructure; it provides tools for archaeologists and historians to collect, store and analyse data within a framework of harbour research. Standardized routines for data collection and quality control were established, the locations of all harbours investigated in the various projects of an extensive research programme can be visualized as data points. A multitude of relevant context information is provided from the fields of geology, hydrology and meteorology, by integrating into the system as web map services on topics such as the course of coastlines and waters, water depths and wave heights. In that way, the importance of using spatial information as a basis for in depth analyses and identification of future research topics for the humanities is demonstrated.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"7 1","pages":"38-48"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87523065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cultivation of one-year crops can lead to longer periods without vegetation cover, especially during wintertime. The cultivation of so-called catch crops is only captured if it is part of the area based subsidies and considered for the application of the farmer. In addition, however, where in winter the ground is covered is not known. Based on the analysis and interpretation of satellite data (Sentinel-2 data) and data from the agricultural administration, a study was carried out to determine the extent and intensity of winter vegetation on arable land. The validations show that the leaf area index (LAI) derived from the satellite data is a good indicator of the degree of winter soil cover. The average weighted LAI figures for the whole of Bavaria are still relatively high in October 2017, to decline more or less sharply in the period from November to February 2018.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"1 1","pages":"73-86"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75184076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the calculated access does not always correspond to the patient’s perception. This is caused by various individual access barriers. In the CaptureACCESS study, locally adapted geographic analyses, optimized for the Berlin and Brandenburg study areas, are developed. A patient survey will be conducted, which aims to capture the perceived access barriers. A comparison of the geographically measured with the perceived access makes it possible to evaluate best methods of analysis, considering the patient’s perspective.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"21 1","pages":"14-24"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81749315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Kriging was performed on the concentration values to create two-dimensional “2D” representations of the lake-bottom sediment surfaces. These were then integrated with the bathymetry data. The 3D representations provide much more insight to the actual range of concentration values and the location of heavily contaminated areas. Deep lake basins and proximity to current and former industrial areas, along with water inflow zones were identified as problem localities. The results can be useful in the planning of future sediment surveys and can also provide information for the prioritization of sediment quality assessment programs.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"15 1","pages":"348-359"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87913702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the field of road condition assessment and evaluation, the performance of deep neural networks for the analysis of camera image data has already been demonstrated. For the first time, this methodology is to be applied to high-precision mobile LiDAR data of the Fraunhofer Pavement Profile Scanner in the form of 2.5D surface models in order to realize automatic road damage detection and classification on the basis of radiometric and geometric features. Thus, an automated detection of road damage in the form of precisely located geo objects is possible.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"8 1","pages":"100-115"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73527487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A purely spatial analysis with a GIS does not deliver satisfactory results in many cases. The plugin Offline-MapMatching is the first extension for QGIS to realise a map matching with stochastic methods. This paper describes the process flow, the mathematical principles and the parameters of the plugin.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"13 1","pages":"156-163"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89134926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 29771 tweets with reference to the city of Rostock and an average accuracy of 83 % could be located over a period of six weeks. The example of the AfD demonstration on 22.09.2018 shows, that individual events can be tracked in near real time. This can be a source of essential additional information in various areas from event management to disaster control. But it is also possible to derive information about social-cultural hotspots on a larger scale, which can be used, for example, for urban and environmental planning. Especially the textual meta information contained in the tweets is of great importance. For example, conclusions can be drawn about political positions, topics or moods.","PeriodicalId":36308,"journal":{"name":"AGIT- Journal fur Angewandte Geoinformatik","volume":"94 1","pages":"292-305"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83899667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
