This kind of communication uses the IEEE 802.11 standard for physical and MAC layer. In order to solve the hidden problem, the IEEE 802.11 uses the RTS/CTS mechanism. Because of the highest mobility in VANET, the RTS/CTS may introduce performance degradation. In this paper, we clarify these effects by studying the influence of this mechanism on the global performance (delay, loss packet...) in terms of bandwidth, packet size... A dual-band microstrip bandpass filter with a quasi-elliptic response has been designed for first time based on 1st iteration Peano fractal geometry at resonant frequencies of 2.25 GHz and 4.825 GHz using a substrate of a relative dielectric constant of 10.8 and thickness of 1.27 mm. The performance of the bandpass filter structure has been analyzed using a method of moments (MoM) based software package, Microwave Office 2009, from Advanced Wave Research Inc. The complex shaped-slot was generated randomly by applying the cellular automata technique. Analysis of simulated results dealing with the impedance matching, surface currents, gain and radiation patterns, shows three different behaviors: improvement of the impedance matching, rejection of one band, and rejection of two bands, depending on the shape and position of the slot. Mounted 1 mm above a phantom model the antenna present an Omni directional radiation pattern. This antenna has an almost stable performance on radiation pattern and the S parameter on-body and free space. Also we looked about the multi optimum position to optimize the most preferable link budget antenna located on the body. For this purpose we define two antenna configurations first for to place the antenna in their standard states and the second is provided with rotation of 90°. The antenna size is very compact (35mm × 35mm × 1.6mm), and thus, it can be integrated easily within RF front-end circuits in mobile handsets. The antenna is operating at 2.4GHz (WiFi), 3.5 (WiMAX), in a UWB band respecting the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements for the unlicensed use of UWB in the frequency range from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz, ranging from 7.7GHz up to 9.1GHz and in two other large bands, the first one ranging from 10.9 GHz up to 11.5 GHz, and the second one ranging from 17.2GHz up to 17.8GHz. In this paper, a new approach to design tunable RF filters using dual behavior resonators (DBR) topology is proposed. This design methodology is performed to design an electrical tunable filter able to switch between UMTS, WiFi and LTE reception bands. The designed filter is simulated using FR4 microstrip technology. A compact notch filter using the approach of phase cancellation between two signal paths is also reported here. The passive notch filter is designed onto a Rogers4003-based substrate to test its performance. The integrated silicon chip is then reported on a grounded area of filter and connected to the output of this later by wire-bonding forming an SIP (System In Package) approach.
