Feuerbach belonged, the problem of man and society was one of the main ones. A correct understanding of human nature was of fundamental importance for him. It also guaranteed correct relations in society at the horizontal level (the relationship of a person to another person) and vertical (the relationship of a person to the state and the state to a person). The existing widespread views on this problem did not satisfy L. Feuerbach. They were, in his opinion, not only erroneous, but harmful. He criticized Christianity and objective idealism for the alienation of the essence of man and its hypostatization. All the predicates, he insistently repeats, with which man gives God, are of human origin. Religion as well as objective idealism do not have their own object of reflection. They have appropriated what does not belong to them. L. Feuerbach demands that theology should turn into anthropology, and philosophy should be guided by the sciences about man as a natural, natural being, without rejection of moral, moral and spiritual attributes...","PeriodicalId":36158,"journal":{"name":"Religiovedenie","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68286302","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Contrary to the widespread notion of a Christian martyr as a passive and speechless victim of persecution, the author shows that martyrs themselves, the authors of martyrological works, and theologians regarded martyrs as fighters or warriors who fight the devil and achieve victory in death. According to such an interpretation, martyrs were called “noble athletes/fighters”, as well as “athletes of Christ” or “soldiers of Christ”, and their feats were called “the great struggle”. The tradition of militant understanding of martyrdom takes shape in the II-III centuries CE and persists in the later tradition. Besides, in the IV-V centuries. it was actively exploited by some radical Christian movements that practiced real violence - in particular, Egyptian and Syrian monks, Parabalani, and the Circumcellions...","PeriodicalId":36158,"journal":{"name":"Religiovedenie","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68286356","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through the strengthening, thanks to the pandemic, the dynamics of the social functions of religion (integrative, communicative, normative-regulatory, legitimizing), the author examines the changes in the structure of modern religiosity, highlighting and characterizing three main types: institutional, individual and individual-institutional religiosity. The author pays special attention to the individual-institutional type of religiosity, believing that the carriers of this particular type of religiosity experienced the least psychological problems in connection with the closure of churches, mosques, prayer houses. Analyzing the social functions of religion, and, in particular, the communicative function, the author examines in detail the process of virtualization of religion, which has significantly intensified in the last year and a half (“cyberreligion”, “online religion”), indicates a close relationship between the individual-institutional type of religiosity and the dynamics of communicative the functions of religion, reflected, in particular, in the strengthening of the virtualization of religion. The author sees the key tendency in the change in the structure of religiosity in the change in the ratio between its three main types towards the percentage increase in the carriers of individual-institutional religiosity.","PeriodicalId":36158,"journal":{"name":"Religiovedenie","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68286457","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sun Buer is presented both as a historical person and as an object of religious worship. Also, the monograph provides an overview of Taoist writings, one way or another connected with the name of the mentor Sun Buer. An especially valuable part of the book is a complete translation from the classical Chinese written language of the collection of poetic works “Teachings of the Primordial Lady Sun Buer”. It includes “The Feminine Mastery of Inner Alchemy” ( Nü gong nei dan ) and “The Sequence of Mastering the Skill of Female Tao Path” ( Kun dao gong fu ci di ). I.V. The authors of the publication were interested exclusively in digital forms of protest activity within the traditional confessions of Russian provincial cities, namely Orthodoxy and Islam. In view of the small number of people who profess Judaism in the provincial cities of the Russian Federation, and because of the dogmatic foundations of traditional Buddhism, which is extremely negative to any form of protest against existing political, economic, and social realities, these denominations have not given any significant examples of virtual protest on the Internet. The authors clearly distinguish between legal forms of digital protest in the religious semiosphere and forms of religious extremism and xenophobia, which are also beyond the scientific interest of the authors of this study. The subject of this analysis is the forms of virtual protest activity on the Internet, which are classified in the following areas: protest against religion as an institution that protects the existing political, economic, and social foundations of Russian society from the point of view of atheism and other faiths and religious systems; protest against the existing official confessional hierarchy within the normative religious discourse; protest against internal confessional dogmas aimed at reform or division...","PeriodicalId":36158,"journal":{"name":"Religiovedenie","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68285731","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Laletina (born 1931, Harbin; lives in Ogre, Latvia) about her childhood, youth, family, environment, education. The interviews were collected in person (Harbin and Karlovy Vary) and online (Ogre). In addition to the topoi related to the Orthodox festive culture of the city, which were general for oral stories of Harbin dwellers, these narratives reflect the “geography” of the Orthodox everyday life of an ordinary Harbin family, stories about religious education at school, facts of syncretization of the religious consciousness of Russians and Chinese in Harbin, memories of attempts to Japanize religious life and school education by the occupiers during the Manchukuo period, as well as personal impressions of the Harbin Orthodox priests. A separate section is represented by various genres of oral prose (there were legends) dedicated to the Harbin mythologeme of Nicholas the Wonderworker (of Myra), the Harbin patron. In the oral narratives of the former Harbin resident, two points of view were combined - the direct perception of the little girl of the events of religious life and the assessment of these phenomena from the height of the past years by a person who now lives in a foreign cultural non-Orthodox environment as well.","PeriodicalId":36158,"journal":{"name":"Religiovedenie","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68286757","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem is considered in the context of the alleged “break” in the creative development of Leo Tolstoy in the late 1870s. Although Tolstoy had been familiar with the texts and ideas of the Stoics before this time and, probably, made some allusions to the Stoics in “War and Peace”, it is possible to say that in that time the Stoic ideas as such were not of significance for him. The thinker might have realized the deeper meaning of the Stoic tradition against the background of the teachings of Christ. Applying the methods of textual analysis, the author shows that after the conversion Tolstoy sought to use some aspects of the Stoic religious narrative (men's mind as a part of the divine one, the unity of the universe) as a support for his own pantheistic (panentheistic) views, in which both his ethical and social values were rooted.","PeriodicalId":36158,"journal":{"name":"Religiovedenie","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68287026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
