The study employed a quantitative method. The study aimed to examine the motivation levels of the participants and the difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation levels. 93 Buddhist monk students participated in the study. The findings show that the Buddhist monk students were highly motivated to learn English, and it was also reported that they were more extrinsically motivated than intrinsically motivated. The study also recommends that motivation inside and outside the classroom be carefully considered. It is also recommended that future research be conducted with a larger sample size using other statistical analyses at other educational institutions. Learning will be more effective when using the appropriate learning strategies. In this pandemic period, appropriate learning strategies are necessary to optimize learning. The purpose of this research is to find out what strategies lecturers need and use in teaching advanced listening during COVID-19 at UIN Ar-Raniry and how lecturers apply and implement the strategy in teaching advanced listening during COVID-19 at UIN Ar-Raniry. The researcher used email and WhatsApp as the media. The data collection method used in this study is qualitative, using a narrative approach. In collecting data, the researcher also used data collection techniques using the semi-structured interview type. The researcher used data reduction and written summarization to analyze the data. The participants are three permanent lecturers and one substitute lecturer in the Department of English Language Education of Ar-Raniry State Islamic University. They are selected purposively using specific criteria. This study’s results indicate that using the right strategy in the learning process will produce effective learning. It relates to a lack of English proficiency. Even after six years of formal language learning, students can still not acquire productive English abilities such as speaking and writing. This study's main objective is to find the English teachers' perspectives concerning the most effective teaching methods in rural schools throughout four districts, Malaka, Kupang, Timor Tengah Utara, and Timor Tengah Selatan. The mixed-method was administered through a questionnaire, data collected from 26 English teachers at Senior High School who met the criteria. In addition, eight respondents were interviewed to learn how to apply effective methods. Cambodia has a very long history of education. Education in this country used to reach the top during the Angkor Period and dropped down to zero during the Killing Fields. This article reviews some aspects of education, the formulae of teacher education after year zero, and the challenges of teacher education, and it also suggests some ideas to improve the teacher education process in Cambodia. This research is qualitative research with a documentary study approach. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mensintesakan tahapan perkembangan psikososial remaja dengan konsep remaja dalam Islam. Selain itu studi ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan cara agar remaja menemukan identitasnya. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian kepustakaan yang menggunakan analisis isi sebagai teknik analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut Erikson remaja berada pada tahap identitas versus kebingungan identitas dan dapat disintesakan dengan konsep Islam dimana ketika remaja menjalankan ajaran agama Islam, maka dia sudah dapat menemukan identitasnya, sebaliknya jika remaja tidak mengikuti ajaran agama Islam, maka remaja akan mengalami kebingungan identitas. Cara yang bisa dilakukan remaja untuk menemukan identitasnya melalui penanaman nilai agama, keteladanan orang tua, ikatan orang tua dengan remaja, pemberian kebebasan yang bertanggungjawab dan pergaulan yang baik. The author is interested in conducting research with the dictogloss technique to overcome the difficulties faced by students in learning activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning process of listening comprehension and to find out the advantages of the dictogloss technique in class X IPA 1 at MAN Pegasing. This study uses classroom action research, data collection techniques using pre-test and post-test, and questionnaires to determine the advantages of the dictogloss technique. The results of this study indicate that the dictogloss technique effectively improves student achievement in listening comprehension at MAN Pegasasing. Keberadaan anak tiri dengan keluarga baru memunculkan sebuah dilema terutama dalam masalah kewarisan dengan orang tua tirinya. Dalam hal ini sebagian putusan hakim memberikan hak waris kepada anak tiri melalui wasiat wajibah. Yang menjadi permasalahan adalah apakah putusan ini sudah sesuai dengan syariat Islam? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan beberapa contoh putusan hakim terkait hak waris anak tiri, dan menganalisis pemberian wasiat wajibah kepada anak tiri dalam konsep Islam. Selain itu penelitian ini juga memcoba memberikan solusi dalam menghadapi dilema ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian gabungan antara hukum yang ada dalam buku (kitab) dengan hukum yang ada di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa kasus tentang hak waris anak tiri di pengadilan, dimana terkadang hakim memberikan wasiat wajibah terkadang tidak. Putusan hakim memberikan wasiat wajibah kepada anak tiri tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan hukum kewarisan Islam karena anak tiri bukan termasuk kategori ahli waris. Hal ini dapat diperoleh melalui pendidikan dasar sampai ke tingkat yang lebih tinggi. Akan tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya, banyak terdapat hambatan, khususnya pada siswa sebagai salah satu komponen di lembaga pendidikan. Seringkali para siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar sehingga menyebabkan kegagalan dalam pendidikan mereka. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk membantu mengatasi prestasi belajar para siswa adalah melalui layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Untuk itu diperlukan peranan guru bimbingan dan konseling untuk menangani siswa dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar sehingga dapat menyelesaikan pendidikan dengan sebaik-baiknya. Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk mengetahui peranan guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar para siswa khususnya di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Mujtahidin Bojong Gede, Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan metode kualitatif dengan wawancara, observasi dan penyebaran angket. The participants were composed of 100 students studying in grade 12 and 10 government teachers of English, teaching in grade 12. In collecting the data, two different groups of participants were asked to fill in two different questionnaires with close-ended questions. The obtained data were quantitatively analysed with SPSS, and descriptive statistics were used to determine the number and percentage of the respondents. As a result, the study discovered that instructional methods and the fear of speaking caused by inhibition and anxiety strongly affected the students’ English-speaking fluency the most, as well as many other subsequent factors. Thus, this study can be useful for teachers of English to reconsider their weaknesses and strengths, to identify their weakness and strength in teaching speaking and ascertain the students’ deficiency and potency in learning to improve their English learning, specifically, speaking skills.
