Its usage is recently increased due to the rise of China as a new world power in trade and economy. This attracts new learners of Chinese and Chinese is often taught as early as elementary school in countries such as Indonesia, which regard Chinese as a new foreign trade and social language. However, without proper and continuous exercise, mastering Chinese, especially the written, is a big challenge. Previous studies has proposed and affirmed the use of information technology as a learning aid to study Chinese. They show positive results, but has left out the writing exercise section. This research proposes a modest Optical Character Recognition (OCR) model applicable to aid learning of writing Chinese characters, also known as Hanzi, for elementary education level. The goal aimed is not just the functionality, but due to its modesty, it should be able to be applied to a broader condition; in wider range of devices and by wider level of programmers. Experiment results shown that for the defined environment, the model give an acceptable accuracy of 95% in recognising handwritten Chinese characters. However, if it is planned to be applied using a more complex set of characters and writing styles, the statistical features used should be replaced and improved.","PeriodicalId":359410,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Congress on Applied Information Technology (AIT)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117017821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The program contained two courses titled Manaburu I and II. Here, we developed the word “Manaburu” as a portmanteau of the Japanese words for “learning” (manabu) and “able.” The term “Manaburu” thus indicates that a “student is able to learn by themselves.” The courses entailed that approximately 20 teachers dealt with around 350 students. Our research question was concerned with the sustainability of teachers conducting equal evaluations for first-year education students. We investigated this through a Shapiro-Wilk test to confirm data related to student grades according to a Gaussian (normal) distribution. However, these data did not depend on a Gaussian distribution. We thus performed a non-parametric multiple comparison test and Steel-Dwass test against whole pairs for both Manaburu I and II in 2018. Results showed that equal evaluations were sustainable for teachers of first-year education students. This paper specifically discusses two reasons for this.","PeriodicalId":359410,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Congress on Applied Information Technology (AIT)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129306755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Google Drive is a cloud operating system owned by Google's search engine. National Elementary School (SDN) to make a report book or Basic Education Databook (Dapodik) still use Microsoft Excel, which has the effect of delaying the delivery of report results to parents. This happens because to fill in the DAPODIK score must be filled by teachers who teach subjects in class. This study aims to provide knowledge to teachers in collaborating to fill DAPODIK and measure how reliable the delivery of material received by each teacher. Using the method of reliability Kuder Richardson KR-20 and KR-21 produces a value before the training on reliability values KR-20 = 0.6328, and KR-21 = 0.6000, after the training, the reliability values KR-20 = 0.5788 and KR-21 = 0.6231. From these results, it is known that the value after training for KR-21 has increased and according to the conventional correlation coefficient. In future research can be re-developed by making application system recommendations in determining teachers in schools to become instructors in accordance with the capabilities possessed based on the reliability testing results of the KR-20 and KR-21.","PeriodicalId":359410,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Congress on Applied Information Technology (AIT)","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127080686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In many urban areas, the sport has spurred communities or clubs that not only provide opportunities for its members to play the sport, but also provide a medium for developing sport performance through group rides and activities. Many mobile applications have been developed for activity tracking and providing important metrics while doing sport activities as well as gamification through leaderboards in comparing performance with others. No mobile application, however, has been developed for community based activities where members not only can develop themselves, but also improve the interactions and engagement of group rides. The Bike App as a prototype application was developed for such purposes. The development of the app involved a cycling community based in Jakarta.","PeriodicalId":359410,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Congress on Applied Information Technology (AIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131006966","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mobile game application along with the development of mobile phone technology such as a smartphone, tablet, and laptop, can be used to increase the player or user interest to engage with religion thing. Using the mobile game application in mobile gadgets will expand quickly to install and use for religion engagement. The player can learn religion things with fun and entertain ways, where the player does not realize that they do something serious in an unserious way. This paper will explain the model system design for mobile game application for learning Catholicism in fun and entertaining way and for the first development was limited to only three Catholic catechisms such as bible learning, church lesson, and liturgy celebration. For the early development, three types of games were developed such as True or False game, Scramble words game, and multiple-choice game. The mobile game model was designed with a use case diagram, storyboard, and class diagram, where for the current implementation the mobile game application was implemented using a ten tables database.","PeriodicalId":359410,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Congress on Applied Information Technology (AIT)","volume":"349 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116461725","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To allocate land use properly, the zoning method has been widely used, especially in densely populated cities, namely a kind of sustainable urban form with considers the mix of use/diversity of land use to minimize travel distance. This study proposes a method for calculating how much a city meets the sustainable urban forms based on compact city criteria, i.e. compatibility, dependency, and compactness. After the survey filling in compatibility and dependency scores for each land use, and compactness was calculated for each sub-district. Fuzzy C-Means clustering was used to cluster the result to classify other areas. In addition, this method can be used by planners to check whether their plans meet the concept of sustainable development or not.","PeriodicalId":359410,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Congress on Applied Information Technology (AIT)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128983342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) was developed with the main objective to solve a continuous problem as long as it could be defined in a mathematical equation, and yet it has the potential to solve a discrete problem. This research shows the adaptation of GSA for a discrete environment involving multiple populations in GSA in order to enlarge the searching space in exam timetable scheduling problems. Every best solution from each population will be injected to each population to give additional potential members. The adaptation strategy could be implemented in an exam timetable scheduling problem, resulting in an improved value of fitness. The multiple populations strategy helps the development of fitness factor by providing potential solutions from other populations, thus escaping the trap of local optimum solutions.","PeriodicalId":359410,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Congress on Applied Information Technology (AIT)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121903535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
