The author refers to the theoretical assumptions of social accountability, which constitutes one of the forms of accountability of public authorities. Additionally, the paper presents the peculiarities of social councils, which are well-known, highly institutionalized, and formalized collegial bodies operating worldwide for many years. The article presents the results of qualitative research (semi-structured interviews) among members of three types of social councils, i.e., youth councils, senior citizens’ councils, and councils for people with disabilities. Mikołajczyk","doi":"10.33896/spolit.2022.66.2","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33896/spolit.2022.66.2","url":null,"abstract":"The ways in which various authors depict social and political changes through examples from the first half of the 20th century make the subject of this analysis. The discourse on fascism springs from often-used motifs or ideas that, even after being abandoned to oblivion, seem to resurface under a certain type of conditions. Publications that are re-issued on the topic, portray the beliefs, movements and events that preceded World War II in ways that appeal to the contemporary reader. They also propose a framework or cognitive structure that allows the readers to diagnose the current state of affairs. In particular, narratives showing coincidences, that is, the simultaneous concurrence of factors or events in the past and now, are used to demonstrate the similarity of contemporary and historical situations. The proposed framework allows us to understand the possible consequences of the economic crisis, structural inequalities, changes in communication and leadership styles. It demonstrates the importance of Islamic parties and explains the declining significance of Christian parties in the last dozen or so years. The media also play an important role in the portrayal of leading politicians and their activities. The responsibility that political leaders bear is multidimensional, including issues related to their mandate as MPs. This article analyses the work of MPs who simultaneously headed political groups represented in the Sejm of the 8th term. The aim of the article is to identify and systematize the attitudes of the radical left organizations to the war in Ukraine. The author assumed that these attitudes were different, and their differentiation was a consequence of ideological differences, as well as the political context and narrative environment in which these organizations operated. INGOs have become new actors in the system of world politics and international relations. There was a need to study the activities of INGOs around the world in the field of history, law, sociology, philosophy, political science. In recent years, many INGOs have appeared in the world, and they work in all countries of the world in such priorities as ensuring human rights, freedom of speech, the economy, the social sphere, the environment, etc. Today, there is an increasing need for a comprehensive study of the activities of INGOs, trends in their increase in the number and rapid growth, influence on the domestic and foreign policies of states and in shaping the global political agenda. The emergence of global problems and the lack of strength and political will of some countries to solve them slow down the integration processes around the world. Especially, there is a need for cooperation in the issues of democratization, liberalization and modernization of public administration and public life. Therefore, today the role and participation of INGOs in solving such issues is increasing.
