The number of fall incidence is one of the main indicators in patient safety and hospital quality. Qualitative study with phenomenology approach was conducted to explore factors affecting the risk of fall in pediatric patients. Four nurses consist of two team leaders and two associate nurses participated in in-depth interviews. The findings from the interviews were triangulated in some process including an interview with the head of an inpatient installation, supervisor, and patient family, participative observation, documentation of form Humpty Dumpty and operational standard prevent the risk of fall. The result data was analyzed with the content analysis method and concluded with a fish bone. Four themes emerged from the analysis: knowledge, human resources, environment, and facilitation. Bad implementation of operational standard procedure, heavy workload of a nurse with unbalance ratio between patient and nurses, the slippery floor, unfixed bedside rails, and unavailability of patient bell have a role in affecting the risk of fall. This study suggests to held fall prevention education, make a review of nurse’s workload with recalculate the ratio of patient and nurse and upgrade the hospital facilitation and environment situation.","PeriodicalId":355525,"journal":{"name":"NurseLine Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130545256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The FCC needs basic data about the needs of the family who are caring for it, so the need for the family can be identified therefore nursing intervention can be done optimally. One measure that has been developed to assess family needs is Critical Care Family Needs Inventory (CCFNI). The purpose of this study was to analyze the CCFNI questionnaire in Indonesian version. This study tried to test the questionnaire through several steps translation into Indonesian, validity testing in the form of validity content documents (CVI) and construct validity and reliability testing. The results of the CVI test on 45 Indonesian language CCFNI questionnaire statements found that the CVI value was in the range 0.6-0.9 obtained 36 valid statement items, while the results of the construct validity test were found to be valid. Reliability test results obtained an alpha value of 0.97 which means it is very reliable. The conclusion is that the Indonesian version of the CCFNI questionnaire which is translated into Kebutuhan Keluarga Pasien di Ruang Perawatan Intensif (K3PI) is valid and reliable.","PeriodicalId":355525,"journal":{"name":"NurseLine Journal","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132774015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These distressing symptoms may create a vicious circle leading to poor outcomes but often undervalued and ignored among patients. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between fatigue and sleep quality among patients with HF in Indonesia. A cross-sectional, correlational study design was performed with 153 convenience samples recruited from a cardiology outpatient department at a medical center in Indonesia. Descriptive statistics, bivariate analyses (independent t-tests, one-way Analysis of Variance, and Pearson correlation), and hierarchical regression analysis were utilized to analyze the data. Instruments included demographic characteristics and clinical variables questionnaire, the Multidimensional Assessment of Fatigue (MAF), and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The mean age of participants was 61.86±10.79 years old and the mean duration of HF diagnosis was 4.26±5.48 years. All participants complained of fatigue, while 73.2% had poor sleep quality. Participants who were poor sleepers had a higher proportion of individuals used massage, not having taken dyslipidemia drugs, had normotension or well-controlled blood pressure, and suffered from hypertensive heart disease (HHD) and renal diseases. All fatigue domains, except the degree of interference in ADL, was significantly associated with sleep quality. However, only the timing domain determined sleep quality, meaning, the longer the fatigue, the poorer the sleep quality. This study suggests future interventions should be directed to decrease the level of severity, distress reduction, and particularly shorten fatigue duration should be developed to improve the sleep quality.","PeriodicalId":355525,"journal":{"name":"NurseLine Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129093783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People who have high or moderate risk factors for coronary heart disease should have good preventive behavior, but this also requires a good level of self-efficacy as well, so that the expected behavior can be performed. This study aimed to determine the level of community self-efficacy of coronary heart disease based on characteristic risk factors. This research used a descriptive quantitative approach. Participant consisted of 70 people in Desa Limusgede, West Java, Indonesia acquired through a non-probability technique of purposive sampling. Self-efficacy was measured using a self-efficacy questionnaire (validity value in the range of 0.484 to 0.773 and reliability value 0.862) while risk factor data were determined by age, body mass index, blood pressure, smoking behavior, diabetes mellitus, and physical activity which were referenced by Jakarta Cardiovascular Score. Data were analyzed using median and frequency distribution. The results showed that median (minimum-maximum score) of self-efficacy is 26.00 (11-41), most of the respondent (62.86%) had high self-efficacy of coronary heart disease and more than a half respondent (47.14%) had moderate and high-risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Further, almost half the respondent who had high self-efficacy also had moderate and high-risk factors for cardiovascular disease. So, the health professional must concern in activities to decrease the level of cardiovascular risk factors, such as health education, health promotion, and disease prevention.","PeriodicalId":355525,"journal":{"name":"NurseLine Journal","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122869556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
