In order to ensure continuity of operation and without losing PMSM performance in fault, the proposed FTC allows transition from FOC to DTC. The FOC of PMSM drive needed a mechanical sensor to measure rotor position but with the second strategy this was not necessary. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the FTC method proposed.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129840265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It allows to establish a sophisticated infrastructure and to provide services during vehicle to vehicle communication (V2V) and vehicle to infrastructure communication (V2I). Hence, vehicles are involved in such services due to their computing capabilities, storage resources, network connectivity, etc. The most important service is the vehicular cloud (VC) which is divided into many categories (Storage as a Service (STaaS), Cooperation as a Service (CaaS), Network as a Service (NaaS), etc). In this paper, we propose a financial resource in addition to the vehicular cloud. We suggest to offer the proper incentives which encourage cars to be honest and send trustful warning alerts such as the traffic jam and the fog on the road event. However, to get paid for those contributions provided by cars, we suggest a new rewarding method which unifies the paying process. So, we propose the creation of a new authority called “Score Authority” (SA). This authority has as role to convert vehicles services into points. So each vehicle will have a score's account. Therefore, this score can be used to buy items from the gas station, get mechanical repairing services, etc. To facilitate the use of such score system, we propose a new card which called the “Vehicular Score Card” (VSC). It has the similar specifications as a credit card. The only difference is that it will be refilled by points instead of money.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127223752","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sliding-Mode Controller (SMC) is proposed to offer a proper and a rapid maximum power point tracking to control the boost converter. To guarantee the SMC stability, three conditions are fulfilled and performed: transversality, reachability and equivalent control. The Sliding-Mode approach is applied also to control the Grid Side Converter (GSC) to inject active and reactive power into the grid. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques. the mathematical system modelling and simulations are carried out by means of PSIM software under different solar irradiance changing levels meanwhile the temperature value is kept constant, equal to 25°C. It prove the good performance, the perfect maximum power tracking and the unity power factor condition is verified.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123060760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, in this paper, we investigate the performance of FSO links under dust storm conditions. We aim to determine the limits and capabilities of such systems in this harsh environment. To achieve this goal, we use some performance metrics including signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio, bit error rate (BER), and channel capacity. The results show that dust is a rough impairment that causes link drop under low visibility range. Moreover, we found that the system performance can be improved by using short segments or multi-hop system. Furthermore, the results show negligible improvement in system performance under dense dust. The comparison of fog and dust impairments show that dust introduces much higher attenuation than fog. Therefore, dust can be considered as the ultimate impairment for FSO links.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115610792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The integration of MPC (model reductive control) theory based on finite number of control input into drivers led to the development of innovative technique to improve the control optimality. Through this paper, an indirect matrix converter prototype based on a direct predictive torque (DTC) control strategy on the inverter side has been taken. For the rectifier side, a novel DSSVM (double sided space vector modulation) technique with an optimized switching sequence solution has been proposed. The thermal loses of this latter have been studied. The control part was installed on an FPGA based control unit and the whole system was applied to take the control of an industrial crane mechanical system.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131169443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This latter is a suitable technology in Grid power systems due to its high variability and high levels of renewable generation. A variable Speed WT is one essential objective of the researches in this area. Hence, this paper proposed and discusses an efficient design based on a Higher Order Sliding Mode Control (HOSMC) applied to Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG). The HOSMC can provide a feedback linearization controller utilizes the torque estimate to ensure a torque reference. The HOSMC feedback provides the relationship between the turbine speed and an additional input. To achieve a stable error dynamics and speed tracking, a linear control theory is proposed. The applied speed reference is selected according to a classical MPPT algorithm. The reliability and the effectiveness of the proposed design is given by the Matlab / Simulink environment, from which, the obtained results have been treated and discussed in details.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"206 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132284941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sensor consists of a microstrip line loaded with circular SRRs on both sides. The proposed metamaterial sensor was designed on Rogers RT5880 substrate having dielectric constant of 2.2 and thickness of 0.76 mm. The operating principle of these biosensor is based on the interaction of the electromagnetic near-field generated by the sensor with the samples under investigation. The SRR can be considered as an LC resonator circuit whose frequency response is very sensitive to the changes in capacitive and inductive effects. At the resonance frequency, the resonator develops an intense and localized electric across the split, enabling sensitive detection of extremely small amounts of simples. The detection method is based on the principle of the shift of the resonance frequency as a function of the relative permittivity of the loading sample. In order to enhance sensing performance of the device, a new split gap are adding in each rings, that will provide a strong and localized field enhancement in the selected area, increasing the high electric field region. The shift of the resonance frequency in the presence of a sample material is characterized by multiple resonant frequencies, upon introduction of several samples with different dielectric value. The metamaterial resonator is tested through proper full-wave numerical simulation (HFSS) based on the finite element method (FEM).","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123972640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Communication between two points which a fair distance apart on earth surface using two antennas will depend on the antenna heights as s well as distance between the antennas and the used frequency of transmission, taking into account the media condition separating the transmitter and the receiver, whether it is dry environment, humid or sea level. The purpose of this paper is to find the effect of attenuation on wave propagation between the transmitting and receiving antennas, considering the length of a link, transmitting antenna height and reception antenna height. The MATLAB is the environment used to simulate the effect of the attenuation on the satellite wave propagation taking into account the above mentioned parameters, link length and transmit and receive antenna height. The obtained results show that attenuation drops with antenna heights in general but some heights give better results and attenuation fluctuation increases with frequency i.e the higher the frequency the higher the attenuation.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130214949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Actually, those systems are characterized by uncertain bounded parameters and a complex changeable structure. Delay time is also an important drawback facing most of the systems stability. By dividing the whole range of uncertainity into small ranges, the robust controller based SVM is conceived for each range. So, the obtained mechanism is able to enhance the control process properties.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121922309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
