The first cascade uses separate PV sources and the second configuration use only one PV generator. Without a DC/DC converter used in these two studied cases, and in order to get a stable output voltage, authors propose a proportional regulator of inverter modulation index. For the second configuration proposed, we introduce in the control loops another algorithm which uses the redundant vector of the three levels inverter to stabilise the DC bus voltages. A real data of solar irradiation and temperature of Ghardaïa city in south Algeria are used to test the proposed controls. The simulation results show that the inverter output voltage is stable for the two configurations. Then, the PV cascade with separate PV sources is the best solution, seeing that we do not need to use another algorithm in the control loops.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"411 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122472835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper describes a proposed method that aims to diagnose persons with Parkinson (PWP) by analyzing on line their voices signals. First, Thresholds signals alterations are determined by the Multi-Dimensional Voice Program (MDVP). Principal Analysis (PCA) is exploited to select the main voice principal components that are significantly affected in a patient. The decision phase is realized by a Multinomial Bayes (MNB) Classifier that categorizes an analyzed voice in one of the two resulting classes: healthy or PWP. The prediction accuracy achieved reaching 98.8% is very promising.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121148429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the first strategy has been developed to control the instantaneous active and reactive power directly by selecting the optimum switching state of the PWM rectifier. The main of this strategy is the improve the power factor and the total harmonic distortion. In the second strategy called the direct power control with space vector modulation (DPC-SVM), the use of SVM technique for the converter switching signal generation is based on the power control model of the converter in synchronous coordinates (dq), with the aim to ensuring a stable active power exchange, a good dynamic response, constant switching frequency and in particular it provides a sinusoidal line currents. Simulation and results has shown that both control structures achieve good performances.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128750962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This process is characterized by a linear model generating handwritten ships on bi-dimensional plane from two muscles activities of the forearm, called ElectroMyoGraphic signals (EMG). The specificity of our work is that the inputs of the studied system are unpredictable. This implicates complexities for the diagnosis of different faults that can be encountered during the handwriting motion. The actuator of this biological process is sensitive to several faults from different origins (motor disability of the hand, neurological disease, problem in the sensors of EMG signals or in the transmission cable, etc.). These faults can produce undesirable fluctuations in the graphic trace generated by the support system made to reconstruct handwritten shapes as produced by a human. In this sense, we are interested on studying these fault types and the applying of an observer-based fault detection approach to figure out a fault occurrence.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127439163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this technique requires the mechanic sensor to determine correctly the orientation of the rotor flux vector and is very sensitive to the variation of motor parameters, results in an undesirable coupling between the flux and the torque of the machine, and loss of dynamic performance. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a global stability and robust nonlinear controller applied to the ideal induction motor speeding system, and dynamic decoupling of rotor speed and flux. A comparative study between the performances of the proposed controller and field oriented control is carried out. In presence of rotor resistance variations and load torque disturbance the simulation results show the proposed control method behaves preferable dynamic decoupling performance and robust performance.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133544899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Broken plurals are formed by imposing interdigitating patterns on stems, and singular words cannot be recovered by standard affix stripping stemming techniques. Identifying broken plurals is an important and difficult problem which needs to be addressed. In information retrieval, deriving singulars from plurals is referred to as a stemming. The process of stemming can be achieved by removing the attached affixes from a given word. To the best of our knowledge, all existing Arabic stemmers are unreliable and still under research. Consequently, this paper proposes an approach which identifies broken plurals without the need to perform the stemming process on any given word. The well known decision tree system (WEKA J48) is applied to build a classifier (model) on a very huge Arabic corpus as a training data which is pre-processed and prepared as a piece of this work. The built classifier is evaluated using unseen test set. The obtained results reveal that a very promising broken plural recognizer could be designed and implemented for NLP applications.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114144438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The control scheme provides for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technique on the Photovoltaic array while maintaining a constant DC link voltage that can be tied to an energy storage system and/or a voltage source converter DC-to-AC converter. A non-linear voltage source was implemented in Alternative Transients Program (ATP) to model a Photovoltaic array under varying solar irradiance and temperature conditions. Due to the dependency of PV generation upon weather conditions, the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is important since it makes the PV generation system provide its maximum power. MPPT can be implemented with several algorithms, but this paper deals with the Incremental Conductance (INC-CON) for the following: no oscillations at maximum point, high response, and high stability under rapidly changing in atmospheric conditions. The only disadvantage is its complexity in the control circuit. The paper will show successful implementation of an incremental conductance MPPT algorithm controlling a boost DC-to-DC converter in Alternate Transients Program (ATP). This model can be used to study further refinements to boost converter, or could be coupled with a DC-AC converter model to simulate a full grid-tied PV power generation system. Such a model would be useful for fault and power flow studies related to variable PV generation systems.","PeriodicalId":355001,"journal":{"name":"2016 4th International Conference on Control Engineering & Information Technology (CEIT)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114559219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
