The following \u0000issues have been touched on: ‘Bypassing the conscious behavior choices and the \u0000dangers of compulsive use of digital technology,’ ‘the morally insensitive world of \u0000technology-backed marketing and advertisement,’ ‘some ethical matters for the \u0000digitally connected global village and globalization-influenced atmosphere,” and \u0000‘the moral concerns of the economic growth of emerging economies in a technologyloaded \u0000world.’ It occurs that the addressed topics have a pattern. For instance, \u0000compulsive indulgence and proclivity for addiction to technology get pronounced as \u0000mindful or conscious engagement with digital gadgets and the internet are \u0000progressively trivialized. Additionally, technology-savvy globalized societies have \u0000the tendency to subscribe to hedonistic leanings, giving significant importance to \u0000personal space and the freedom to decide one’s lifestyle and time utilization. The \u0000danger dawns when technology becomes detrimental for behavior, interaction, \u0000relationships, and business, and the user starts experiencing the adverse impact of \u0000imprudent use of technology on his or her physical and psychological wellbeing and \u0000social world. Similarly, the matter becomes of concern when the commercial world \u0000decides to disregard the righteous goal of income generation (i.e., purusharth), \u0000conceptualized as inseparable from the concepts of dharma, or duty, and social \u0000responsibility. Lastly, when the values and normative standards of the technologically \u0000advanced affluent countries are adopted senselessly by the emerging economies rich \u0000in cultural wisdom and indigenous traditions, it is time for contemplation.

Starting with the basic notion of self and personhood in contemporary academic psychology, largely located in the lower levels of psychological functioning, the field of Transpersonal Psychology is used as a stepping stone to access the higher reaches of humanity. A brief outline of the Advaita Vedāntic perspectives on personality then paves the way for Sri Aurobindo’s neo-Vedāntic depiction of the person. The contribution of the integral approach to the transformation of emotions, and its role in psychotherapy is then outlined. It is the author’s contention that Sri Aurobindo’s system contains a comprehensive framework of psychology, which allows for both Western as well as Indian conceptualization of the psyche and provides a synthesis, which is more than a mere sum of parts, giving a vision for an optimistic and glorious future of humankind, paving the way for divine life to manifest upon earth.

Increase in the level of socialization and social standards adds enhancement and complexity in self. This increase belongs to every segment which is directly or indirectly related with society like, demographic, economic, ecological technical, cultural, political and other remaining ones. Who reside there and interact each other regularly share almost similar ideas, goals and character. The human self is the resultant of individual characteristics and social interaction. \u0000Self and society both function as polyphony of consonant and dissonant voice. Also, they share two prominent features which are necessary to understand their dynamics. First, both act in a multidimensional society and individual’s own self, when turns into collective self from the breath of social thought .As some individuals and or groups, in a society have more social power or able to influence people more than others, therefore, the voice of some people is more easily heard rather than others. Moreover, they get more opportunities to express as compared to those whose voice has never been heard or at least entertained. Therefore, there is a need to place all members on a platform so that nobody can be ignored. \u0000The purpose of our journal is to put human mind, self and society together which results in various behavior of the individual. We hope that like other issues this issue will also appreciated by the readers.

Why people willingly inflict pain on their body? Do the young adults who get multiple tattoos on different parts of their body have mental health issues? The objectives of the study wereto study themental health of young tattooed adults with the Hypotheses: a) There will be an effect of tattoos on the mental health of young adults with tattoos on different parts of the body, and b) There will be a significant difference between the mental health of tattooed and non-tattooed young adults and the Variablesbeingtattoo (IV) and mental health (DV). Tool: Mental Health Inventory by Jagdish and A.K. Srivastava (1983) that has 56 questions covering six dimensions i.e., positive self-evaluation (10 questions), perception of reality (8 questions), integration of personality (12 questions), autonomy (6 questions), group-oriented attitudes (10 questions), and environmental mastery (10 questions). The Sample Populationwas 60 young adults between the age range of 18 and 25 years (30 with tattoos on different parts of the body and 30 without tattoos) using purposive sampling and Exploratory Research Design. The statistical analysis was done using Descriptive Statisticst test and correlation. This study clearly indicates that tattooed young adults scored poorly in mental health status.

Despite flattening the pandemic-growth curve, these were met with resistance and heightened psychopathology among the masses. Acknowledging individuals’ distinct adaptations towards supporting and protecting their health before/when any disease-state emerges in their body or the population surrounding them holds implications for population health and the public health programs. Humans have evolved a concomitant behavioral immune system (BIS), a coordinated suite of psychological mechanisms (affective-cognitive-behavioral) that motivate prophylactic avoidance of infectious-disease vectors. They also possess Psychological Immune System (PIS) comprising personal resilience resources and adaptive capacities that can promote psychological health-protective behaviors. The present phenomenological study explores the dynamics of general populations’ experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, to understand their behavioral immune, psychological immune, and general psychophysical health functioning and the association between them. An attempt has been made to validate the BIS model (Schaller & Park, 2011) and the PIS (Olah, 1996) within the pandemic context. Semi-structured and in-depth telephonic interviews were conducted with thirty-five participants. Data was analyzed using directed qualitative content analysis. Participants had deteriorated psychophysical health and an activated BIS. Heightened BIS consequated negative attitudes and outcomes. PIS resources helped maintain functionality, positivity, and stress-resistance, and those with lower behavioral immune activation and psychological immunity had more health-related complaints. The study demonstrates that BIS and PIS are important factors for health behavior and well-being and suggests a more integrative approach to health research.

This scale was originally developed by Littleton, Axson and Pure in 2005. World Health Organization guideline of translation and adaptation of scale has been followed to translate this scale into Hindi. After the completion of translation process, the Hindi version of BICI, Body Dissatisfaction Scale, Rosenberg’s Self-esteem Scale, and General Mental Health Questionnaire-28 has been administered to the sample. The age range of participants was 15-25years (76 male and 81 female). In the end, the factor structure and psychometric properties of the scale were evaluated. The exploratory factor analysis identified two factors. First factor consists of 12 item that are labelled “symptom interference” and the second factor consists of 7 items labelled as “dysmorphic symptoms”. The reliability of the subscales as well as full scale was found satisfactory (For symptom Interference r=.828, for Dysmorphic symptoms r=.789, for full scale r=.871). The concurrent validity of the scale ranged from .38 to .42. Marital happiness, a dimension of marital quality is determined by various marital factors such as self-esteem, communication, intimacy and marital satisfaction of couples. Communication plays a major role in marriage, and they are the key predictors of marital satisfaction in couple (Lavner, Karney and Bradbury, 2016). In marital life, communication is not simply the flow of information from the sender to the receiver but the ability of couples to share their thoughts and feelings to their spouses. This study aimed to have a focal point on the relationship between communication patterns and marital happiness of army couples. As army couples being a breed of its own this study was conducted among 128 army couples (128 husbands and 128 wives) in the age group of 21 to 30 years of age and within their five years of marriage life. Using the Marital Happiness Scale (Azrin, Naster, & Jones, 1973), the marital happiness level and the Communication Patterns Questionnaire (CPQ; Christensen, 1988) the communication pattern of army couples was measured. After statistical analysis, results indicated that the relationship between each pattern of communication is different and significantly correlated with marital happiness of army couples.
