The game relied on inoculation theory and fiction to teach students to identify indicators of mis and disinformation outside of any real-world examples that might affect their learning experience. The game showed promise as students were far more engaged and demonstrated better retention later in the semester than students who received a more traditional lecture about disinformation and source evaluation. The researcher looked at the website of every member of the Association of Research Libraries and recorded information about audio lending technology in five categories: podcasting kits, USB microphones, other microphones, digital voice recorders, and audio interfaces. Information about a podcast recording studio, both in the library and on the greater institution’s campus was also recorded. The results indicate a majority of American research libraries offer a recording space and lendable audio technologies. This article explores the challenges the YRL faces as it seeks to make its collections more assessable to virtual researchers. It explains the intricacies involved in working in a remote location while simultaneously functioning within a large government structure.
