Thus, the research objective was to examine the effects of the lower limb exercises program using a chair on sleep quality, fitness, and the risk for falls in the elderly. The experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design approach was used in this research with a total of 20 male participants with average (age 66.85 ± 5.63 years, weight 45.75 ± 2.62, height 154.82 ± 5.18 cm, and BMI 19.16 ± 1.86). After doing lower limb exercises for eight weeks, the results showed sleep duration, fitness marked by the 6MWT test, and balance in the experimental group. There were significant differences, while there were no significant differences in the control group. Thus, hopefully, it was found in the research results that the exercise of using a chair for the elderly could help improve aerobic ability and balance. It was positively correlated with decreasing sleep duration problems in the elderly. It had the potential to reduce the risk of getting a history of other diseases that could interfere with the daily lives of the elderly. ","PeriodicalId":353164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal SPORTIF : Jurnal Penelitian Pembelajaran","volume":"118 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125523749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to identify talent in sports among children in Malang. This research was an observational cross-sectional study involving 356 children (68% boys) who were purposively selected in Malang city based on age criteria (age 11 years old). Several tests and measurements were conducted for talent identification, including anthropometric tests, eye-hand coordination, leg muscle power, arm muscle power, agility, speed, and VO2max. Sports talent identification was conducted based on Norm developed by Narlan and Juniar. The results were matched into a sports talent profile table according to the age and gender of the participants. Results with the sports branch profile norms were matched, if the test results were at least the same or better than the sports study program, then the child was \"talented\" in that sport. The results of data analysis showed that two children (0.56%) were in the potential category, 58 children (16.29%) were in the moderately potential category, 172 children (48.31%) were in the low potential category, and 124 children (34.83 %) were included in the non-potential category. Judo, triple jump, long jump, high jump, javelin throw, table tennis, and shot put were sports identified as gifted by children in the categories of potential, moderate, and low potential. The results of the study report that children have the potential to be able to excel in Judo, triple jump, long jump, high jump, javelin throw, table tennis, and shot put.","PeriodicalId":353164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal SPORTIF : Jurnal Penelitian Pembelajaran","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121230742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The quality and quantity of recovery influence the effectiveness of recovery. The effectiveness of recovery can be observed by heart rate and body temperature after recovery. This study aims to compare active recovery and passive recovery after moderate-intensity continuous training on heart rate and body temperature. The research method used is quasi-experimental and uses a two-group pre and post-test design. Based on the Pocock formula, the research subjects used were 40 women aged 24 years to 35 years. The data collected include heart rate and body temperature. The data analysis techniques used were normality test, treatment effect test (paired sample t-test), and difference test (independent samples t-test). The results showed that active recovery was better than passive recovery to optimizing post-exercise heart rate (p<0.05). Active recovery was better than passive recovery in optimizing body temperature (p<0.05). It was concluded that active recovery after moderate-intensity continuous training was better than passive recovery to optimize post-exercise recovery and prevent overreaching.","PeriodicalId":353164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal SPORTIF : Jurnal Penelitian Pembelajaran","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126244844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, not all Sports Organizations have a Good governance system, even though the governance system is a crucial component for managing a sports organization because it relates to policy issues and the direction of the performance of a sports organization. In addition, organizational performance is also inseparable from the intervention of organizational leaders because a leader has skills in influencing others to work together to achieve common goals. One of the successful leadership styles in business-based organizations is humanist leadership, but can humanist leadership styles contribute to realizing a sports organization that has Good Governance? A total of 20 articles in the last ten years on the topic of Good governance and humanist leadership were used as data and analyzed. Based on the results and discussion of the principles of Good Governance emphasized Transparency, Democracy, Check and Balance and Solidarity, and Humanist leadership, which has pillars such as communication, democracy, and transparency to its members. However, it is not yet known whether the existing policies are transparent and fair, so this quantitative descriptive study was conducted to determine the extent of the perception of sports practitioners regarding the application of the principles of transparency and fairness to national sports policies. With the survey method, 455 sports practitioners were selected through purposive sampling to provide answers through a questionnaire on the google form. The statement comes from the variables of transparency and fairness with asymmetric Likert as the answer choice, which is strongly agree to strongly disagree. The results show that 28.48% of sports practitioners strongly agree and 59.81% choose to agree that the principle of transparency has been applied to sports policy, although there are 11.02% of sports practitioners who disagree and 0.69% strongly disagree. On the other hand, 35.22% of sports practitioners strongly agree and 59.84% agree that the principle of fairness has been applied in the implementation of national sports policies. However, there are 4.84% of sports practitioners who disagree and 0.11% strongly disagree if the principle of fairness has been applied. It can be concluded that the principles of transparency and fairness in national sports policies have been felt by sports practitioners, one of which is through the ease of obtaining information related to sports policies to the distribution of awards and coaching.","PeriodicalId":353164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal SPORTIF : Jurnal Penelitian Pembelajaran","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122195346","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
