This study aimed to determine the genotype variation thought to play a role in differences in exercise results and explosive power performance, namely the ACE gene. The research method used a cross-sectional design to describe the relationship between a factor and its effects on how genetic mutation variations play a role in an athlete's physical performance by involving 54 male and female badminton athletes with an average age of 18 years. The study was conducted by analysing the development of badminton skills with the same exercise routine, then being given an explosive power test in the form of a vertical jump through the Lewis nomogram assessment. The initial test was in the first month, and the second test was after six months. The results showed significant differences between the groups with variation II, ID and DD genotypes of the ACE gene. The DD genotype group showed better training adaptation in the explosive power test than genotype II and ID with a significant value (P<0.05). This study concludes that athletes with genotype DD variations adapt better to explosive power training than athletes with genotype II and ID. Athletes with genetic mutations II and ID in the ACE gene are more suitable for badminton sports requiring complex movement abilities and skills, which require good anaerobic and aerobic abilities.","PeriodicalId":353164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal SPORTIF : Jurnal Penelitian Pembelajaran","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131323220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to determine the potential and weaknesses of short backhand serve in badminton through a kinematic analysis approach, with a sample of children aged 12-16 years PB Pendowo Semarang City. The method used quantitative with a descriptive analysis approach, and the analysis is assisted by using the Kinovea 0.9.4 series software. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with two criteria; age (12-16 years old) and participation in a Semarang city-level tournament. The results showed that the PB Pendowo Semarang City athletes in the implementation phase are in the \"Appropriate\" category, with a percentage of 66.6%. The instruments used in this data collection are observation and documentation. Several factors that influence the level of conformity are muscle mass, arm length and height, and training intensity. This research can still be developed in future research by discussing more specific things, such as focusing on active wrists and, more specifically, explain about flick movement in the wrist motion. Additional supporting literacy in the backhand short serve analysis could help the athletes and coaches to reach effective movement to get points using the backhand short of serving as the first attack.","PeriodicalId":353164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal SPORTIF : Jurnal Penelitian Pembelajaran","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126387135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to determine the effect of active and passive recovery on plyometric exercises on speed and power. The type used in this study is quasi-experimental. The sample of this research is 44 athletes from Lampung Province who will compete for Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) 2021 Papua. The plyometric exercises applied are plyometric exercises (multiple hops and jump variations). After doing the plyometric exercises, active and passive recovery is applied. The speed research instrument is the 30 m sprint test for power using a vertical jump. Analysis of the data used: paired test analysis and independent sample test. The results obtained are that plyometric exercises on active and passive recovery affect athletes' speed and power abilities. Although it affects performance, in the effectiveness test, the speed of active recovery is better than passive recovery. As for power, both of them do not have the level of effectiveness between passive and active recovery. The study's results are expected to be a reference to be included in the training program using the plyometric model with active and passive recovery to support the success of the Lampung Province athletes in 2021.","PeriodicalId":353164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal SPORTIF : Jurnal Penelitian Pembelajaran","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115819796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
