In most cases, we still go to polling booths where we cast our votes in the same old way, even the frequency of such act has not been varied much. The spread of the idea of Smart City brings an opportunity to implement significant changes: allowing citizens to state their opinion more frequently, in a more natural, comfortable way with the introduction of voting applications and Fuzzy-voting. In the followings, we will provide an overview of the existing requirements and recommendation about voting and e-voting. We will present how these can be full field with our new solution. We will also discuss the well know Fuzzy-logic and how we think it can be applied to this issue.","PeriodicalId":352891,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117146049","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, several functions for improving the performance of the head tilt controller have been proposed. Command confirmation function has been used to remove the effect of involuntary head motion between stop and motion control commands regions. The emergency stop function has been used to provide safety conditions when the head orientation goes out of the limited ranges. The orientation sensor error handling function has been integrated to track the orientation data of the user's head as well as of the wheelchair and send an alarm if there is no change or update on the orientation information to avoid the wrong command in case of one or both sensors are not responding.","PeriodicalId":352891,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125811776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It aims to analyze the users' sentiment towards particular topics, products, and other subjects. The aim of this study is to present the parallel version of a method of polarity classification of sentiment for big data. In the original method, named ALGA, a genetic algorithm is incorporated to generate lexicons. Since the fitness calculation of that method is its most time consuming part, especially in the big data, in this research, a new parallel method is presented to efficiently calculate the fitness of ALGA. The experiments are conducted on four datasets in terms of running time, speedup and time complexity. Results show that the proposed method achieves better runtimes than the sequential ALGA when the datasets are big. Therefore, in spite of the sequential ALGA, this method can employ the strength of genetic algorithm for searching the landscapes of big data mining problems.","PeriodicalId":352891,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122194883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is analyzed the dependence of the level of perception upon the visualization complexity. It is introduced the concept of the utility of the visual image, it is described by the behavior of the empirical utility function. We propose an optimization model of the utility, which is based on picture representation by two components. The first component is a skeleton of workspace. The skeleton includes primitive attributes of map or scheme, which selected from a database corresponding to the user's request. The second component is the skeleton environment intended for filling of the skeleton by information details. The environment primitive attributes increase the semantic level of visualization. Selection of the environment primitive attributes is provided by a set of expert rules. The set of rules is divided into classes corresponding to the professional user orientation. It is given the formal statement of the optimization problem of visualization utility. It describes the operation of picture manipulation. Examples are shown of practical applications of visualization for two classes of visual images.","PeriodicalId":352891,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128808268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Creating more sustainable and livable urban systems is vitally important in the long run, thus improving the standard of living of city residents. There are a number of studies with different viewpoints being published on “smart” cities these days. However, not many of those deal with creating a smart city in a complex, people-centered aspect. In our study, we concentrate on one of the sub-systems of the smart city, as a complex system. And that is smart transport. One of the addressed challenges in cities is the transportation of the growing population. Current city transportation systems were implemented with different principles in mind at the time. Due to the development of cities, a public transportation reform is needed as well, in order for people to get to their destination safer, faster and easier. The basic concept of designing smart systems is creating a comprehensive, communication-based operation between different units, and this communication ultimately has to have a unified format. A couple of possibilities for us, concerning the development of transportation systems, could be communication technologies, such as 5G or V2X.","PeriodicalId":352891,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130522247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The previous release-by-release driven by main version change (from pre-alpha to gold release) was developed into a continuous release management. Business processes although remained the same, but how can be determined, which part of the software needs to remain untouched, while evolving to continuous lifecycle support. One of the key questions is to ensure the continuous reliability of the software product. Due to the sudden change and improvement, this type of lifecycle management can be described as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) type methodology. As from the current implementations, this process does not necessarily leads to a Business Process Reengineering (BPR). This paper introduces change management methodology applied to a specific ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics AX business process lifecycle maintenance implementation project. This approach seems to be suitable for supporting the long term sustainability of the software product.","PeriodicalId":352891,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY)","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126818481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
