This study aims to provide an overview of resilience in families with children who have cerebral palsy, who attend YPAC (Foundation for Disabled Children), which is the only centre for cerebral palsy services in Jakarta. Qualitative research was used to analyse a case study featuring three (3) separate families, with each family having two (2) children with cerebral palsy. The result of this study describes the Family Resilience by looking at risk factors and protective factors in families with Cerebral Palsy children and all their limitations. Risk factor is the condition of the informant, who has insufficient and unstable income. On the other hand, family members also receive discrimination regularly, and even experienced physical violence. Meanwhile, protective factor is a source of strength from their personality or values of each member of the family, commitment, and support from the surrounding environments, such as extended family, friendship groups, neighbours, and institutions. Social support becomes a source of strength for the family and keeps their fight with their children with cerebral palsy. However, many villages have not developed this potentiality as a new commodity as a tourism-based community. For this reason, this article explains three important elements in the development of community-based tourism in the Sekapuk Village community, Gresik Regency, East Java, namely following the potential, participation, and development of Setigi tourism. This research highlights three critical issues concerning i) how the role of local communities in maximizing village potential, ii) how Community-Based Tourism practices work effectively in increasing community social awareness, and iii) how communities build new tourist destinations. The research method using observation in Setigi tourism, interviews with village leaders, managers of Tourism Awareness Group/Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis), local traders, and visitors. The indication of community has built Setigi tourist destinations by utilizing the potential of nature. Meanwhile, CBT is implemented in environmental conservation, tourism training, accessibility of transformation, and the development of communication systems. Setigi tourism is built based on social participation, which results in nature-based tourism destinations, the development of the Mbok Inggih kitchen, and the home industry. As a successful tourist village development, the village has achieved the icon of the Millionaire Village. The study used a qualitative research method with purposive sampling as a sampling technique for determining informants. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to be analyzed. Resulting that empowerment in AFG is sought and has brought various benefits for empowerment and family socio-economic resilience. Social capital is used in this empowerment effort, emphasizing family functions, namely the socialization function and the economic function. In the existing efforts and empowerment, there is potential for its sustainability, namely various forms of social capital that are still maintained and refreshed in the dynamics of AFG. There is support from residents, government, universities, the private sector, and the media. The purpose of this study is to uncover the dynamics of community empowerment in Waifoi village and describe the innovative formulation of empowerment activities in accordance with the context of community needs in Waifoi village in a participatory manner. The research method used was a case study and participatory rural appraisal through observation, incidental interviews, focus group discussions and document studies which were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the Waifoi Village community was a type of community that was open to developing innovation but had a socio-cultural context of hunting and gathering types. There is a differentiation of perception in the community structure of Waifoi village regarding interest in the object to be developed in the village. Community empowerment carried out through the transfer of knowledge and technology with continuous assistance has implications for improving coastal communities’ skills and the use of technology to increase added value to get better income. In order for community empowerment to be sustainable, LIPI and the local government of Alor Regency have developed a community empowerment concept that local governments can implement to develop their areas and communities in a better and more competitive direction. This study conducted a reformulation policy to increase better family resilience in the rural areas. The study uses a qualitative method and collecting data with interviews, documentation, and observation. The research finds that community development in the village showed a new social sustainability pattern with three main goals: structure, culture, and process. It is a new program considering establishing a reformulation of social policy as an objective program that promotes sustainable development. While the program's implementation faced an obstacle driven by the local elite, it gained collaborative action with the regency government. Thus, the village development's family resilience failed not to internalize to deeply life confidence, but they do not feel they have awareness. Also, they still consider that family resilience is not a part of community development program, so it is not implemented very well. Herbal medicine as a hereditary heritage in Rejowinangun village is optimized for marketing in the concept of a tourist village, thereby increasing its economic value in a modern society. To achieve this goal, this study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to capture the context of changes experienced by the community to see the significance of the empowerment model. The results of this study indicate that the process of developing the production of herbal medicine as a processed product of herbal plants is produced through the use of land owned by the community. The expertise of the Rejowinangun village community in concocting traditional herbal medicine is produced from hereditary inheritance. As a form of re-actualization in the marketing system, modern methods were introduced, from the concept of a tourist village to marketing herbal medicine in the form of instant packaging. Modernization steps in all aspects as part of empowerment have an impact on increasing the economic value of these products, so that they have an impact on improving the community in the economic, social, cultural, environmental and health fields. The integration between the concept of cultural preservation and modern management in community development that takes place in the village of Rejowinangun has proven to be effective and efficient, so that this method can be a new alternative in group-based community development that still preserves local traditions and keeps up with the times. In doing the research, I employ qualitative research to gather the data by documentation, observation, and interview technique with willing and selected informants. My study finds that excessive usage and inability to control the technology endanger human beings, make them submissive to the technology’ logic, and divide community. Community resilience can be achieved if every family units in the neighbourhood are strong and stable. The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic enhances the widespread use of digital technology in many things, such as the learning process, economic transactions; it has changed the social structure. Despite bringing new opportunities, digital technology also presents significant challenges on issues such as gender relations in the family, patterns of parent-child relationships, and even on community health and cohesion. Digital technology might influence the shift of habitus.
