Therefore, this study aims to analyze the efforts to empower conventional market traders in increasing their income through the development of an e-commerce transaction system. A qualitative approach was used with data collection techniques, such as interviews and observations, while the data were analyzed by interactive technique. According to the results, the development of an e-commerce transaction system in conventional markets was conducted with a strategy of assessing market potential, socializing e-commerce concepts, and training on website management. At the implementation level, two factors behind the success of this program were the role of universities and financial support from the local government. Furthermore, the inhibiting factors include the social motivation of consumers in shopping and the cost of shipping goods. The efforts to develop an e-commerce transaction system was ineffective in increasing traders' income, while the loyalty of consumers who continue to shop at the market can contribute to the increase in income.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136364617","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A kiai or caregivers, not only acting as a prominent religious scholar and charismatic leader, but also assumes a pivotal role as a custodial figure within the contextual fabric of traditional pesantren milieu. The focal point of this research revolves around the examination of santri well-being within the context of Pesantren Sunan Pandanaran. With an educational heritage spanning half a century, it maintains a profound affiliation with Nahdlatul Ulama, the largest Islamic organization in contemporary Indonesia. Situated in Yogyakarta, the pesantren has exhibited substantial progress of education strategies over time, adopting modern innovations while upholding its traditional Sunni values and principles. The research methodology involved the purposive selection of eight informants strategically chosen in accordance with the research objectives. This cohort comprises both students and caregivers affiliated with the pesantren. The findings marked Pesantren Sunan Pandanaran’s swift adaptation to modern educational paradigms while preserving its traditional values. A complex network of parental apparatuses exists to provide care, guidance, and support to santri, encapsulating a range of individuals and roles that collectively contribute to overall well-being and development of students. This complexity is further underscored by the collective commitment of pesantren members to uphold the Sunni theology with a demand on righteous and orthodox belief. Through such dynamic caregiving approaches, the pesantren seeks to strike a balance between tradition-innovation, thus fulfilling its mission to nurture santri well-being and satisfaction within a rich Islamic Sunni tradition.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136364616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Participation, inclusiveness, and collaboration encourage community empowerment in achieving equal urban welfare. This paper focuses on Kelompok Usaha Bersama or Joint Business Group (KUBE) community empowerment program, an initiative of the central government in collaboration with local stakeholders. The implementation of the KUBE program, which was specifically assigned, was examined in the Yogyakarta city area. By using the collective capability approach as a research lens, two findings were raised. First, the implementation of KUBE in Yogyakarta is an illustration of community empowerment policies in translating collective capabilities. Second, in realizing collective capability, an agency is required in the form of collective awareness and strong leadership.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86787065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The social conflicts encompass a wide range of issues, from waqf land disputes to inheritance distribution and domestic household problems such as divorce to theological differences related to superstition, bid’a, and superstition. In Kapanewon (districts) Cangkringan, fewer than one hundred mosques and prayer rooms deal with such issues. To accomplish the study, this research was conducted using a qualitative design. A sociological approach was utilized to examine the roles and functions of Kiai and Islamic Boarding Schools in Kapanewon Cangkringan in general and mosque and prayer room managers in particular. The theory used is Max Weber's leadership theory. Three essential aspects of internal processes were identified in this study. First and foremost, the leadership of Kiai, the leader of the al-Qodir Islamic boarding school, exemplified a participatory transformative leadership who is not afraid of taking different perspectives to achieve common goals. Secondly, the transformative leadership at Islamic boarding school Kiai take a primary role as facilitator and problem solver for a wide range of social conflicts. As a third aspect, conflict resolution was distributed by establishing a new system with mutually agreed regulations, and it took place with the Selapanan system every Kliwon Sunday. In addition to enriching interdisciplinary intellectual treasures, this research contributes to interdisciplinary treasures both in sociology, particularly transformative leadership, and management science, specifically in organizational leadership.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"38 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86397520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is explicitly stated in the law that one of its goals is to establish the village community as a subject instead of an object of development. Therefore, the law highly encourages civic participation. While the mechanism is in place to ensure the participation of village inhabitants, the participation of marginalized groups such as women, people with disabilities, and eldery remain unexplored. Using interviews with the marginalized groups in four villages in Indonesia, the aim of this paper seeks to capture the dynamic participation of this population and to examine the barriers to their participation in the development process. In this study, it was found that meaningful participation has not yet been achieved, thus, there is still a need to advocate for empowerment for this population. In addition, marginalized groups continued to experience challenges and barriers in to their participation, primarily due to the absence of a structure and mechanisms that specifically address their need. These include the absence of disability or women organizations or forums, the inaccessibility of information, and the lack of awareness of village government to include marginal groups.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86945090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This raises the question of how to optimise policies that can impact the welfare of salt farmers. Basedon this problematization, this paper attempts to explore the ambivalence of government intervention in the PUGAR(People’s Salt Business Empowerment) policy to alleviate poverty for salt farmers in Mangunlegi Village, BatanganDistrict, Pati. Using an ethnographic approach, the search for policy studies that link the community and the government has illustrated the complexity of the economic growth of salt farmers in Mangunlegi. This complexity is shown by the declining income growth of salt farmers amid the presence of a survival strategy in articulating the meaning of local wisdom and the social environment when people adapt to government policies. The results of this study rest on the possibility of achieving the welfare of Mangunlegi salt farmers through their adaptability to government policies, which lead to grassroots social innovation. For this reason, this study pays attention to the implications of the research results, which reveal that the welfare of salt farmers can be realised if the policies issued by the government do not cause ambivalence. However, if salt farmers are given the freedom to formulate grassroots-based policies, social innovation can be realised. This is one of the solutions to poverty alleviation for salt farmers in Mangunlegi.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79904487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the study is to highlight the empowerment program and explore the supporting and inhibiting factors of the program. The type of this study was descriptive-qualitative. Data were collected through interviews, document searches, and observation. The collected data were then processed, analysed, and concluded. Results showed that the process of implementing the empowerment program started from with planning the program carried out by the village government and the community. Programplanning was conducted using a bottom-up pattern, involving representatives from each community component. The program implementation was based on the bottom-up planning model as the main supporting factor for the effectiveness of the empowerment program. Through the program implemented, all components of society can meet their needs regarding internetbased information. The main obstacles to implementing the empowerment program are natural matters, such as wide-area coverage, uneven distribution of the population, and lack ofresources for the program development. The success of the program can be achieved through community involvement in program planning based on full awareness of the community’s needs for the program and structurally supported by the village government.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"40 5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76754802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
