In Indonesia, however, ornaments of violence are still present while resolving issues, as in Madura. This study tries to outline the underlying factors that lead to the formation of violence and pinpoint the function that local elites play in curbing the use of violence. The Galtung theory of violence is utilised in the investigational analysis. In order to analyse the data for this study, we used qualitative research, a case study procedure, and an integration strategy. The findings demonstrated that violence has permeated the Madurese culture. Internally passed down and socially sanctioned, it has been used to cope with a variety of life concerns, such as issues involving wives or women, misunderstandings, inheritance, land, religion or belief, theft, and debts and receivables. Because they have historically served as a point of reference in times of conflict, local elites such as Bhuppa/Bhâbu, Ghuru, Rato (parents, Kiai or the leader in the Islamic religion/teacher, and government) are crucial to the realisation of a culture of non-violence. The local elite’s necessary development of their function does not restrict but rather dampens and empowers, notably among the Bâjing. Through qualitative research, the data, primary data (interviews and observations) and secondary data (documentation studies), coded and analyzed using keywords derived from theory. This study found that CSR in cigarette companies is a form of controversial industrial business strategy that departs from considering business processes' internal and external conditions. The results show SRC is a way for companies to be socially responsible by articulating external conditions (outside-in) dominated by public restrictions on tobacco products and as an internal strategy (inside-out) that departs from the logic of business sustainability. SRC is a form of company compliance with several state regulations, restricting cigarette products and preventing children's access to cigarettes as an outside-in strategy. In the inside-out context, SRC is the company's strategy to ensure all consumers can reach products, collaborating with Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies as an alternative to the uncertainty of controversial industry conditions, and reducing CSR costs.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78617906","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Plethora studies changes in tourist behaviour selfishly view tourism for the benefit of tourists alone. In contrast, this study examines the readiness factors of community hosts in receiving visits and plays a role in the tourism value chain during the pandemic. Using 310 young respondents living in Indonesia's urban tourism destinations (Greater Bandung), the study confirmed the perceptual factors forming host community readiness. Using SEM-PLS, the study has found that perceptions of internal conditions by the community have a significant impact on the perception of tourism reactivation and the readiness of community hosts. The research model has been able to moderately predict the readiness of community hosts in tourism during the pandemic. Several recommendations were submitted in this study for tourism stakeholders to prepare community hosts in their efforts to achieve successful tourism reactivation.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"39 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78922395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This type of research is qualitative, with data methods through in-depth literature reviews of primary and secondary sources of previous scientific research, government agency reports and online media. The results showed that Gayo coffee has made a major contribution to food security, but since Covid-19 it has implications for coffee price fluctuations which have an impact on decreasing people’s income. Therefore, the government issued a Warehouse Receipt System policy, with the aim that Gayo coffee farmers could use warehouse receipts to obtain financing facilities from banks in financing food security and coffee production needs. The policy taken by the government in minimizing the risk of loss for Gayo coffee farmers is a manifestation of the value of the maqāṣid sharia values in maintaining self-preservation (ḥifẓ nafs) and preserving property (ḥifẓ Mal) so that they can continue to survive in order to maintain welfare even during the pandemic. This effort can also be used to strengthen the Gayo coffee production chain because in addition to obtaining financing to meet production needs, it can also be used to meet food during a crisis.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"24 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88897071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, mosque administrators frequently have no good comprehension of the other function of mosques other than a place of worship. When refugees of a natural disaster took shelter in the mosque, the mosque administrators were uncertain between keeping the mosque holiness as the house of God or prioritizing humanity first. This study discussed the responses and challenges of mosque administrators and refugees during making mosques as emergency shelters. This paper applied a qualitative approach to gather responses and challenges experienced by the administrators of Baiturrahim Mosque and a quantitative approach to survey why refugees chose the mosque as shelter. The value of this paper was to describe the different views of the mosque administrators regarding the function of the mosque, including the many challenges faced due to lack of knowledge and experience. Nine reasons why refugees chose mosques as shelters were assessed based on percentage. Refugees were faced with strict norms of decency and ethics from the mosque. Equalization of perceptions among administrators about the function of mosques and education to the community is essential in the mitigation phase. Therefore, we recommend the disaster authority make regulations and standard operating procedures to guide the work and direction of building mosques in disaster-prone locations for future preparation.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"64 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79727133","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Direct participation by civil society, mainly dominated by the religious congregation and faith-based organizations in resettlement, has been the hallmark of Canada's private sponsorship program and a significant element in its success. This paper explores the evidence base of existing literature covering religious engagement within Canada's umbrella of refugee resettlement. Religious engagement is exemplified by the involvement of religious groups, congregations or communities in refugee resettlement which defines and shapes this policy, particularly in the private refugee sponsorship program. Despite challenges shadowing the process, religious engagement contributes to more outcomes given its potential social capital. It is predicted that religious groups will continue to be leading actors within Canada’s resettlement programs.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"65 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89249249","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Maher Zain's rise to fame coincided with the shifting of conventional Islamic authority, which turned from Kiai or Ulama to popular Muslim preachers. These preachers seek aspirations of Islamism in social and political movements through the da’wah institutions they lead. This article is aimed to examine the intersection between the Islamic pop culture industry, Maher Zain as a leading Muslim singer icon, and the strategies of Islamic activism of da’wah in Indonesia. This research found that popular preachers utilize their charitable activities, philanthropy and Islamic da'wah to legitimize and capitalize on Maher Zain's popularity in Indonesia, by playing role in the capitalistic mechanism of the Islamic music industry. These da'wah institutions operate through industrial mechanisms for the benefit of Islamic da'wah activism in Indonesia and even become an advantage in the midst of the struggle for political Islam in Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":34838,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Media Pemikiran dan Dakwah Pembangunan","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79009722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
