In March 2016, MEDLINE and EMBASE were also searched. T1D or T1D-associated autoimmunity (T1DA) development was the major outcome measure. \u0000Results: There were nine publications found. Breastfeeding at the moment of gluten administration did not lessen the likelihood of developing T1DA or T1D when compared to gluten administration following weaned. Except for gluten introduction at 3 months or younger vs gluten introduction at later than 3 months, which raised the risk of T1DA in children at high risk of developing T1D, the age of gluten introduction in babies had no influence on the risk of developing T1D. \u0000Conclusion: Recent data, primarily from observational studies, disagrees with the idea that early infant feeding habits, such as breastfeeding at gluten administration or infant age at gluten introduction, may reduce the chance of developing T1D. More strong results from randomized controlled trials are required.

The vaccine response may be influenced by both the underlying disease and its treatment in patients with IBDs. \u0000Methods: The review compares the immune response of IBD patients to healthy controls and explores differences between those receiving immunosuppressive therapy (IS) and non-immunosuppressive therapy (NIS). The review aims to assess immune response adequacy, adverse events, and IBD exacerbations. \u0000Results: Patients with IBD exhibited diverse immune responses, with influenza B showing the lowest response rate. Immunosuppressive therapy (IS) did not significantly affect response rates compared to non-IS treatment. Lower vaccine responses were associated with IS therapy, steroid use, and certain medications. In general, there were no significant differences in immune response between IBD patients and healthy individuals, except for lower responses to influenza B and hepatitis B vaccines. Adverse events following vaccination were well tolerated, with similar rates in IBD patients and healthy controls. Vaccination had limited impact on disease activity, with only a few isolated cases of IBD exacerbation reported. \u0000Conclusions: The immunogenicity of vaccinations in children and young individuals with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is comparable to that of healthy individuals, and there is no significant difference in immune response between patients with IBD receiving immunosuppressive (IS) therapy and those without it. However, more research is required to thoroughly investigate this topic, as there are limited well-designed studies available.

One adult study favored amiodarone for survival to hospital admission, but not discharge. Another study on pediatric cases showed lidocaine improved ROSC and 24-hour survival significantly.
