There are a number of things that cause low publicrecognition of the teaching profession, namely the low level of professional competence,teacher mastery of the material and teaching methods are still below the standard. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the role of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in thethematic learning process and find out what are the factors that support the role ofMadrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in the thematic learning process.Qualitative descriptive research (naturalistic approach) from January to June2018 in Private Islamic Madrasah in Pekanbaru City. Data collection technique;nonparticipant observation, interviews, and documentation. Akan tetapi, hingga saat ini masalah riba masih saja terjadi diberbagaiaktivitas ekonomi, baik dalam aktivitas jual beli, hutang piutang, maupun transaksitransaksi \u0000dalam mu’amalah (ekonomi Islam), riba tidak hanya dipandang sebagai halyang haram untuk dilakukan, seperti yang telah dijelaskan dalam al-Qur’an setidaknyaada empat tahap ayat riba, akan tetapi keberadaannya tidak memiliki moralitas (amoral)keluar dari etika ekonomi bagi pelaku riba. Larangan riba tidak hanya terjadi pada masaIslam, melainkan sebelum Islam menjadi agama, agama lain (Yahudi dan Nasrani) dannnon muslim lainnya juga melarang pengambilan riba. Dengan demikian, riba membutuhkan penjelasan secara kongkrit baik dari segilegalitas dalam hukum Islam, sejarah, dampak dari pengambilan riba dan pandanganIslam terhadap riba. Dalam prakteknya riba terbagi atas empat macam; riba nasi’ah (ribapenundaan), riba fadhl (riba perniagaan), riba yad (sebelum serah terima barang) dan ribaQardhi (riba pinjaman).
