Students' interest in learning affects their learning outcomes both academically and non-academically. This study aims to analyze the learning interests of students at SMA Negeri 2 Bilah Hilir in the subject of virus concept biology. The samples in this study were students in class X MIA-1 and X MIA-2 with a total of 65 people. This type of research is qualitative research. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire of students' learning interest, and interviews as supporting data. The results showed that the indicators of students' feelings of pleasure in participating in learning were as large as and the involvement of students in learning received the \"most\" category, while the indicators of students' attention to the lesson and students' interest in learning received the \"almost all\" category. Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews it was concluded that the media, methods, and supporting facilities in schools in an integrated manner affect students' learning interest.Abstrak Mata pelajaran biologi konsep virus yang materinya bersifat abstrak umumnya dapat menurunkan minat belajar peserta didik. Minat belajar peserta didik mempengaruhi hasil belajarnya baik secara akademik maupun non akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis minat belajar peserta didik di SMA Negeri 2 Bilah Hilir pada mata pelajaran biologi konsep virus. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIA-1 dan X MIA-2 dengan total sebanyak 65 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket minat belajar peserta didik, dan wawancara sebagai data pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan indikator perasaan senang peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran sebesar dan keterlibatan peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran memperoleh kategori “sebagian besar”, sedangkan indikator perhatian peserta didik terhadap pelajaran dan ketertarikan peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran memperoleh kategori “hampir seluruhnya”. This ability is closely related to understanding science in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the increase in scientific literacy skills by implementing inquiry lesson-based worksheets on the material of the human digestive system. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a non-randomized control group pre-test and post-test research design. Participants are two classes XI MIPA. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling. That is, two classes XI MIPA were randomly selected. Classes XI MIPA 5 and XI MIPA 6, each consisting of 32 students, where one was the control class and the other was the experimental class. Data were obtained using 10 PISA frameworks scientific literacy questions in the form of valid and reliable multiple choice questions. The results showed a significant difference, as evidenced by the results of hypothesis testing with Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted. There is a difference in t-count experimental class and t-count where is the control class t-count the experimental class is greater than t-count the control class is 53.82 > 21.997 so that the scientific literacy abilities of students from the two classes have significant differences.Abstrak Pembelajaran biologi perlu mengupayakan terbentuknya peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan literasi sains. Kemampuan ini erat hubungannya dengan pemahaman sains di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains melalui implementasi LKPD berbasis Inquiry Lesson pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimental dengan desain penelitian Pre-test and Post-test Non-randomized Control Group. Partisipan merupakan dua kelas XI MIPA. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling, yaitu dipilih secara acak dua kelas XI MIPA. Kelas XI MIPA 5 dan XI MIPA 6 yang masing-masing terdiri dari 32 peserta didik, dimana salah satu sebagai kelas kontrol dan yang lain sebagai kelas eksperimen. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan soal literasi sains berframework PISA berjumlah 10 dengan bentuk soal pilihan ganda yang telah valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dibuktikan melalui hasil uji hipotesis dengan Sig. (2 tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Guided inquiry is one of the learning models that can be used to increase students' critical thinking skills in biology learning. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the enforcement of the guided inquiry model, especially on students' critical thinking skills in biology learning based on the effect size value in terms of education level. This research method is a meta-analysis method. The research sample taken from 12 national articles consists of seven journals at the high school level and five journals at the junior high school level. The results showed that the guided inquiry model was effectively used both at the high school and junior high school levels because it was proven to have a forceful impact on students' critical thinking skills in biology learning with an average effect size value of 1.651 (strong effect). Based on the level of education, the enforcement of the guided inquiry model at the high school level has a higher impact on student's critical thinking skills with an effect size value of 1.866 (strong effect) than at the junior high school level with an effect size value of 1.435 (strong effect). This guided inquiry model needs to be applied more broadly so that more students have critical thinking skills and ready to compete in the global world.Abstrak Keterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu dari 6 kecakapan (6C) yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa agar dapat menghadapi persaingan di abad 21. Inkuiri terbimbing menjadi salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran biologi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing khususnya terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran biologi berdasarkan nilai besarnya efek ditinjau dari jenjang pendidikan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah meta analisis. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 12 artikel yang terdiri dari 7 jurnal pada jenjang SMA dan 5 jurnal pada jenjang SMP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model inkuiri terbimbing efektif digunakan baik pada jenjang SMA maupun SMP karena terbukti dapat memberikan pengaruh yang sangat kuat terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran biologi dengan nilai rerata besaran efek sebesar 1.651 (efek kuat). Berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan, penerapan model inquiry terbimbing pada tingkat SMA memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan nilai besaran efek sebesar 1.866 (efek kuat) dibanding ditingkat SMP dengan nilai besaran efek sebesar 1.435 (efek kuat). The electronic module (e-module) illustrates the innovative use of technology in education, which helps limited facilities and infrastructure, to carry out actual practicum in invertebrate learning activities. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of using e-modules based on virtual practicum on invertebrate material. This research method is Research and Development (RnD) adapted from Borg and Gall. The application used to develop e-modules is PubHTML5. This study produced an e-module practicum systematized invertebrate based on virtual practicum integrated with local potential, with a very valid level of validity, a practical result of 92.87%, and the effectiveness of the N-Gain value of 0.97 in the high category. So that the e-module based on virtual practicum integrated with local potential that is developed is feasible and practical to use in invertebrate practicum activities, and effectively improves student learning outcomes. With e-modules based on virtual practicum integrated with local potential, hampered laboratory activities can be carried out efficiently.Abstrak Pembelajaran avertebrata terintegrasi dengan kegiatan praktikum, adapun capaian pembelajarannya ialah mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis ciri-ciri umum spesies secara langsung. Modul elektronik (e-modul) merupakan gambaran pemanfaatan inovatif teknologi dibidang pendidikan yang membantu keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, untuk melakukan praktikum riil pada kegiatan pembelajaran avertebrata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan penggunaan e-modul berbasis virtual praktikum pada materi avertebrata. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (RnD) yang diadaptasi dari Borg dan Gall, Aplikasi yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan e-modul ialah PubHTML5. Penelitian ini menghasilkan e-modul praktikum sistematika avertebrata berbasis virtual praktikum terintegrasi potensi lokal, dengan tingkat kevalidan sangat valid, hasil kepraktisan sebesar 92,87%, dan kefektifan dari nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,97 dengan kategori tinggi. Sehingga e-modul berbasis virtual praktikum terintegrasi potensi lokal yang dikembangkan layak dan praktis digunakan dalam kegiatan praktikum avertebrata, serta efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. This study aims to design an inquiry-based nutrition topic module to train valid critical thinking skills. This study used the 4D research and development model but only reached the product validity stage. The initial stage (define) carried out the MFFT test in class VIIIA SMPN 2 Jenu, the results were 11 students with a reflective cognitive style and 11 students with an impulsive cognitive style. Based on the results of the MFFT test, the design of the inquiry-based nutrition topic module was designed to accommodate cognitive style. The validation instrument was used online using a google form which was carried out by 3 validators from junior high school science teachers in Tuban Regency. The instrument used is a validity sheet which includes material aspects, systematics, language, graphics, suitability with the stages of inquiry, and suitability with critical thinking indicators. Data were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive technique with a Likert scale as a result of the validation carried out by the validator. The results showed that the inquiry-based nutrition topic module to train critical thinking skills met very valid criteria with a mean score of 3.74. This module needs to be tested for its practicality and effectiveness in learning.Abstrak Modul topik nutrisi berbasis inkuiri dikembangkan agar dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif media pembelajaran inovatif dan diharapkan dapat mengakomodasi kebutuhan belajar murid berdasarkan gaya kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang modul topik nutrisi berbasis inkuiri untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis yang valid. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan 4D namun hanya sampai pada tahap validitas produk. Tahap awal (define) dilakukan tes MFFT pada kelas VIIIA SMPN 2 Jenu didapatkan hasil 11 siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif dan 11 siswa bergaya kognitif impulsif. Berdasarkan hasil tes MFFT, desain modul topik nutrisi berbasis inkuiri dirancang dengan mengakomodasi gaya kognitif. Instrumen validasi digunakan secara online menggunakan google form yang dilakukan oleh 3 orang validator dari guru IPA SMP di Kabupaten Tuban. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validitas yang meliputi aspek materi, sistematika, kebahasaan, kegrafikaan, kesesuaian dengan tahapan inkuiri, dan kesesuaian dengan indikator berpikir kritis. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dengan skala likert hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh validator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul topik nutrisi berbasis inkuiri untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis telah memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dengan skor rerata 3,74. Some of these competencies include interpreting and analysis numeracy as well as critical analysis abilities. This study aims to analyze the correlation between Numerical interpretation and analysis ability with critical analysis ability of students' education biology. This study is quantitative correlational research. The sample of this research was 245 biology education students in South Kalimantan from Lambung Mangkurat University, UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, and STKIP PGRI Banjarmasin. Test instruments Numerical interpretation and analysis abilities refer to AACU, and critical analysis ability test instrument developed refer to Facione with the types of multiple choice questions and each variable totaling 6 (six) questions. Test instrument has been validated by empirical validation using a correlation test. The type of data collected is quantitative data from the scoring results of the three variables that are measured and analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test and multiple correlation tests with SPSS 26. Results of the study show a significant correlation between ability numerical interpretation ability with critical analysis ability, and other relationships also exist in numerical analysis ability with critical analysis ability in Biology Education Students.Abstrak Literasi numerasi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan kompetensi abad 21 yang penting dimiliki oleh mahasiswa calon guru biologi di Kalimantan Selatan. Beberapa kompetensi tersebut diantaranya adalah kemampuan interpretasi dan analisis numerasi serta kemampuan analisis kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kemampuan interpretasi dan analisis numerasi dengan kemampuan analisis kritis mahasiswa pendidikan biologi di Kalimantan Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi di Kalimantan Selatan berjumlah 245 orang dari Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, UIN Antasari, dan STKIP PGRI Banjarmasin. Instrumen tes kemampuan interpretasi dan analisis numerasi merujuk pada AACU dan Instrumen tes kemampuan analisis kritis dikembangkan dengan merujuk pada Facione dengan jenis soal pilihan ganda dan masing-masing variabel berjumlah 6 (enam) soal. Instrumen tes divalidasi dengan validasi empiris menggunakan uji korelasi. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan merupakan data kuantitatif dari hasil penskoran ketiga variabel yang diukur dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan uji korelasi berganda dengan SPSS 26. This research was conducted with the aim of developing LKPD, as well as testing validity, practicality and effectiveness in classroom learning. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) 4D model. Data was collected using validation sheets by media experts, materials, Islamic values material, biology teacher response questionnaires and class X MIA MAS Madinatussalam Deli Serdang students. The results of the study obtained a score of 96.15% in the \"very valid\" category for the media feasibility test, a score of 100% in the \"very valid\" category for the material feasibility test, a score of 82.86% in the \"valid\" category for the material feasibility test on Islamic values. The practicality test scored 96.6% (teacher response), and 89.37% (student response) in the practical category. The effectiveness test got an average N-Gain score of 0.599 with a \"moderate\" classification and was declared effective in increasing student learning outcomes and environmental care attitudes with a percentage of 92.12%. This LKPD can facilitate learning outcomes and instills the practice of caring for the environment which is integrated with Islamic values which will form a form of faith and gratitude to Allah, the creator of the universe, as well as being the basis for the development of other LKPD that integrates Islamic values.Abstrak Lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai Islam masih jarang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD, serta menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan dalam pembelajaran dikelas. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) model 4D. The aim of the research was to determine the practicality of the PSB. The determining parameters were readability, applicability, and student responses which in this case are undergraduate students of the Biology Education Study Program. Readability was tested by three students using the one-to-one method. The implementation was tested by five observers through a small group assessment (on five students using the PSB) to get the expected implementation value and field test assessment (on 10 students) so that the actual implementation was obtained. Student responses were obtained from small groups (five students) and field tests (10 students). The result is that the readability of the book is categorized as Very Good, the implementation of expectations and actual implementation is categorized as Very Good, as well as the expected and actual responses from students Strongly Agree. With these categories, this PSB on Odonata is stated to be practical to use.Abstrak Buku Ilmiah Populer (BIP) tentang Odonata yang menghuni Hutan Pantai Tabanio, Kabupaten Tanah Laut telah selesai, namun belum ditentukan kepraktisannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kepraktisan BIP. Parameter yang menentukan adalah keterbacaan, penerapan, dan tanggapan mahasiswa yang dalam hal ini adalah mahasiswa S1 Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi. Keterbacaan diuji oleh tiga mahasiswa dengan menggunakan metode one-to-one. Implementasi diuji oleh lima orang pengamat melalui penilaian kelompok kecil (pada lima mahasiswa menggunakan BIP) untuk mendapatkan nilai implementasi yang diharapkan dan penilaian uji lapangan (pada 10 mahasiswa) sehingga diperoleh implementasi yang sebenarnya. Respon mahasiswa diperoleh dari kelompok kecil (lima mahasiswa) dan uji lapangan (10 mahasiswa). Hasilnya adalah keterbacaan buku dikategorikan Sangat Baik, pelaksanaan harapan dan pelaksanaan aktual dikategorikan Sangat Baik, serta respon yang diharapkan dan aktual dari mahasiswa Sangat Setuju. One of them is the application of local potential-based learning resources developed in this teaching material, namely popular scientific books (BIP). This study aims to examine the practicality of the contents, practical expectations and actual practicality of the developed BIP macrozoobenthos diversity. The method used refers to the formative evaluation design from Tessmer. The results of the research based on the readability test for the practicality test of the contents yielded 91.67% with very practical criteria, and student responses to the practicality of expectations obtained results of 93.33% and 95.83% on actual practicality with very practical criteria, and based on the implementation of the BIP that was developed on the implementation of expectations and actual implementation got a result of 85.19% in a very good category to be used as enrichment material for Animal Ecology courses and to improve students' critical thinking skills.Abstrak Bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal merupakan bahan ajar yang berisi materi atau bahan yang bersifat lokal, dan memiliki gagasan-gagasan yang dapat dipahami dan berkaitan erat dengan pengelolaan sumber daya alam dan lingkungan yang mana bahan ajar dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Salah satunya penerapan sumber belajar berbasis potensi lokal yang dikembangkan dalam bahan ajar ini ialah buku ilmiah popular (BIP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kepraktisan isi, kepraktisan harapan dan kepraktisan aktual dari BIP keanekaragaman makrozoobentos yang dikembangkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah mengacu pada desain evaluasi formatif dari Tessmer. Interactive media is an alternative solution that can be used to train students' critical thinking skills. This study develops a telegram bot to train the students' critical thinking skills on the material of the digestive system. The research method uses the modified Borg & Gall model and is limited to five steps, namely: 1) preliminary research; 2) develop the initial product; 3) expert validation and revision; 4) small field trials and revisions; e) large-scale field trials and final products. The research instruments used were validation questionnaires, response questionnaires, media implementation and learning achievement tests which were then analyzed descriptively. The results show that the telegram bot is very valid with very good legibility. The practicality of the telegram bot is shown by the implementation of the media, with a score of 94.3 and student responses of 93.93. The results of increasing the student's critical thinking skills show an N-Gain of 0.65, categorized as moderate. Therefore, the telegram bot on the digestive system effectively trains students' critical thinking skills.Abstrak Era revolusi industri 4.0 mengharuskan setiap lulusan memiliki keterampilan berpikir, namun realitanya keterampilan ini masih rendah di sekolah.  Media interaktif menjadi salah satu solusi alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini mengembangkan bot telegram untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sistem pencernaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan model Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi dan dibatasi hingga lima langkah yakni: 1) penelitian pendahuluan; 2) mengembangkan produk awal; 3) validasi ahli dan revisi; 4) uji coba lapangan kecil dan revisi; e) uji coba lapangan skala besar dan produk akhir. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket validasi, angket respon siswa, keterlaksanaan media dan tes hasil belajar yang dianalisa secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bot telegram tergolong sangat valid dengan keterbacaan sangat baik. Kepraktisan ditunjukkan dari keterlaksanaan media dengan skor 94,3 dan respon siswa sebesar 93,93. Hasil peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukkan N-Gain sebesar 0.65 yang terkategori sedang.
