Suslova","doi":"10.17072/2079-7877-2022-2-123-138","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17072/2079-7877-2022-2-123-138","url":null,"abstract":"The literature review and analysis of a herbarium of fruticose epiphytic lichens Usnea (genus: Usnea Dill. Ex Adans.) from 450 points located in the Moscow region (Moscow Oblast – MO) showed the presence of five species in the territory. These species can be found on branches of spruce and pine, less often – birch, some finds are noted on black and gray alder, rowan, and willow. The emergence and development of Usnea in MO is possible strictly in the presence of certain conditions. Firstly, certain microclimatic parameters are required such as sufficiently high humidity of the surface air layer and minimal indicators of tropospheric pollution (absence of harmful compounds and of a high content of dust particles). Secondly, certain groups of plant communities, old-growth forests, and suitable phorophyte must be present. Schemes provided in the article demonstrate the locations of maximum diversity and individual finds of Usnea species per 100 km2 on the study area. The richest diversity of Usnea species is found in the Lotoshino and Taldom districts and at the intersection of the Volokolamsk, Ruza, and Istra districts, where there are no large polluting industrial objects and, according to ecomonitoring data, the air quality is the highest (with the lowest levels of harmful substances and dust particles). Usnea hirta and U. dasopoga are most widespread species of the genus Usnea in MO. Usnea lapponica and U. glabrescens are the rarest species, U. subfloridana is relatively rare. The reliability of the habitat of U. florida, U. glabrata in MO has not been confirmed yet. Usnea species are mainly present in the western and north-western portions of MO. These lichens are rarely found in the south-eastern portion of MO and on sites near big cities. Ecologically Usnea lichens gravitate toward wet and waterlogged old-growth coniferous forests, glades, and small foliar trees along river valleys, as well as edge parts of forested marshes and raised bogs. In these landscapes, the thallus of Usnea reaches the maximum size. Usnea species occur frequently and cover abundantly tree branches and trunks with multi-species sets of 2–4 epiphyte lichens (including species from other taxa). Thus, the ecological situation in the western and north-western portions of Moscow Oblast can be concluded to be favorable.","PeriodicalId":345845,"journal":{"name":"Географический вестник = Geographical bulletin","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129086558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We analyzed geoinformation support at agricultural enterprises in the Republic of Kazakhstan and its regions. The paper presents methodology for the development of GIS technologies to be applied at an agricultural enterprise. The study was conducted for the North Kazakhstan Agricultural Experimental Station LLP, which is a farm located in the North Kazakhstan Region. The GIS was developed based on the application of systemic and integrated approaches to agricultural landscape research and mapping. The GIS creation included several stages: determining the structure and content of the GIS; designing the GIS model; collecting, scanning, converting, and processing the data; developing a digital map base and a database; inputting information into the system. We created a digital map base and a database including information about the natural conditions and agricultural activities of the farm. The GIS developed by us can be used for production tasks; for performing spatial analysis of farmland; evaluating the effectiveness of agricultural technologies used; modeling, designing, and managing agricultural production; for predictive analytics based on an array of high-quality agro-information.","PeriodicalId":345845,"journal":{"name":"Географический вестник = Geographical bulletin","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122225967","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Initial Landsat images were obtained in 2016–2020. The map building technique is based on the supervised classification of satellite images and subsequent post-processing. This technique involves the use of a number of additional sources, in particular, the results of global-Landsat-based mapping of forest disturbances, water surface, and arable lands, as well as reforestation areas on abandoned agricultural lands. As a result, a map with a spatial resolution of 30 m (which corresponds to a scale of 1:100,000) has been created. The map legend includes 19 thematic classes, 11 of them contain information on forest vegetation. The accuracy assessment of the obtained data was carried out with the use of a MODIS-based map of the vegetation cover of Russia and also forest inventory data on two forestries of the Perm region. The highest classification accuracy is typical for dark-coniferous and pine forests (it is about 70% according to the map of the vegetation cover of Russia, and up to 75% according to the forest inventory data). Deciduous forests are recognized with the lowest accuracy since, according to the classification results, they were partly categorized as mixed forests (with a predominance of deciduous species). The practical use of the created map of the vegetation cover may include estimation of long-term changes for individual vegetation classes (in particular, for intact forest landscapes), or various calculations based on the species composition and age structure of the forests. The study of the youth’s preferences in the choice of tourist objects and events can help to work out recommendations for the development of routes in the region. Methodologically, the research is based on a complex interdisciplinary approach. The basic methods were questioning and observations in a tourist group during travelling on the territory of the Perm region. The study has shown that young people are interested not only in active but also in historical and cultural tours, in most cases showing particular interest in historical attractions, museums, architecture etc. Interactive technologies, amusement components of the tours are attractive to young people, who are especially impressed by master classes. However, the information component of the tours (for example, that provided by museums) is the most important. The study clearly shows that the social stereotype that young people are only interested in amusement is untrue. Thus, in most cases the importance of interactive methods is overestimated. Furthermore, the research demonstrates that young people generally perceive travelling in the Perm region in a positive way, highly estimating the tour programs, the tourist objects, the service and hospitality level, the quality of food and accommodation. The feedbacks of young people on the results of travelling are favorable. The majority of the respondents would recommend these tours to their friends. This investigation has a potential to be continued.","PeriodicalId":345845,"journal":{"name":"Географический вестник = Geographical bulletin","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114008028","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

По результатам анализа снимков серии Landsat 5, Sentinel-2 и покрытия ESRI World Imagery на поверхности отвалов выявлены три типа поверхностей, соответствующие двум типам растительности – травянистой и древесной, а также пустошам. Установлены площади зарастания для каждого типа растительности и дана оценка состояния растительного покрова на основе индекса NDVI. Выявлена динамика процессов самозарастания с момента прекращения эксплуатации отвалов до наших дней. Спустя 20–40 лет с момента прекращения эксплуатации степень зарастания поверхности отвалов составляет 36–61% их общей площади. На поверхности 20–етних отвалов шахт «Крупская» и «Центральная» преобладает травянистая растительность, составляющая 73–100% площади зарастания. С возрастом отвалов в структуре растительного покрова увеличивается доля древесной растительности: на отвале шахты «1 Мая» она занимает 60% площади зарастания. В соответствии со средними значениями NDVI 0,37–0,59 состояние растительности отвалов характеризуется низкой и средней степенью развития биомассы. Many of these result in severe flooding, victims, and destruction of infrastructure. The aim of the study is to establish the possibility of improving the quality of heavy precipitation forecasting by reducing the step of the computational grid in the mathematical model of the atmosphere. The article presents the results of a study of extreme summer precipitation in the Ural Kama region for the period from 1979 to 2015. The statistical characteristics of 37 precipitation cases with an intensity of more than 50 mm in 12 hours were analyzed. Computational experiments were performed on the WRF-ARW regional atmospheric model. The meteorological conditions for the occurrence of heavy rain in town of Gubakha with an extreme intensity of 114,5 mm in 12 hours were taken as a special case for the study. A qualitative assessment of the simulation results showed that for the selected case, the model correctly reproduced the general structure of heavy rains, but significantly shifted it eastward. A quantitative assessment of the forecast quality was conducted for numerical forecast of heavy precipitation based on the WRF-ARW model at a grid step of 3 km and 7,2 km. The quality of the model was evaluated based on the forecast accuracy not only at the measurement point but also in the vicinity within a radius of 50 km. It was found that there was no significant improvement in the quality of the forecast of high-intensity precipitation when switching to a smaller grid step according to both the first and second assessment methods. The results obtained can be taken into account when preparing forecasts of heavy rains occurrence and when developing flood forecast techniques.","PeriodicalId":345845,"journal":{"name":"Географический вестник = Geographical bulletin","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116369771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although there is no developed industry in the town, we have found that there occurs an anthropogenic transformation of the geochemical composition of the surface waters of urban thermokarst lakes in comparison with background ones, which is manifested in an increase in the alkalinity of water and in chronic contamination with petroleum products. The reasons for these changes are littering of coastal zones with construction debris and historical pollution with cement dust from the house-building plant. Surface waters and bottom sediments of urban lakes contain significant concentrations of petroleum products, which for a long time have been carried into lakes by surface runoff from the territory of garage cooperatives of the industrial zone. It is shown that geochemical analysis of urban lakes should consider not only neutral or increasing effects of natural factors but also local conditions and the historical aspect of anthropogenic impact.","PeriodicalId":345845,"journal":{"name":"Географический вестник = Geographical bulletin","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133011588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
