Close interaction of museum organizations with the tourism and recreation sphere gives relevance to research into the role that modern museum forms play in the formation of certain types of tourism, into regional features of museum placement, the impact that museums have on the economy and spatial organization of territories. A comprehensive study of the regional set of museums and the museum tourism development in the Samara region shows that the current state of museums, the lack of major museum destinations and funding for new high attractions do not allow the region to compete successfully for cruise tourists and in the framework of the interregional tourist project The Great Volga River Route. In the placement of Samara museums, one can trace the influence of agglomeration processes occurring in the region. This is manifested both in the concentration of museum activities in the center of the agglomeration and in the weak use of museum resources, growing risks of losing monuments on the boundaries. Initial Landsat images were obtained in 2016–2020. The map building technique is based on the supervised classification of satellite images and subsequent post-processing. This technique involves the use of a number of additional sources, in particular, the results of global-Landsat-based mapping of forest disturbances, water surface, and arable lands, as well as reforestation areas on abandoned agricultural lands. As a result, a map with a spatial resolution of 30 m (which corresponds to a scale of 1:100,000) has been created. The map legend includes 19 thematic classes, 11 of them contain information on forest vegetation. The accuracy assessment of the obtained data was carried out with the use of a MODIS-based map of the vegetation cover of Russia and also forest inventory data on two forestries of the Perm region. The highest classification accuracy is typical for dark-coniferous and pine forests (it is about 70% according to the map of the vegetation cover of Russia, and up to 75% according to the forest inventory data). Deciduous forests are recognized with the lowest accuracy since, according to the classification results, they were partly categorized as mixed forests (with a predominance of deciduous species). The practical use of the created map of the vegetation cover may include estimation of long-term changes for individual vegetation classes (in particular, for intact forest landscapes), or various calculations based on the species composition and age structure of the forests. Ex Adans.) from 450 points located in the Moscow region (Moscow Oblast – MO) showed the presence of five species in the territory. These species can be found on branches of spruce and pine, less often – birch, some finds are noted on black and gray alder, rowan, and willow. The emergence and development of Usnea in MO is possible strictly in the presence of certain conditions. Firstly, certain microclimatic parameters are required such as sufficiently high humidity of the surface air layer and minimal indicators of tropospheric pollution (absence of harmful compounds and of a high content of dust particles). Secondly, certain groups of plant communities, old-growth forests, and suitable phorophyte must be present. Schemes provided in the article demonstrate the locations of maximum diversity and individual finds of Usnea species per 100 km2 on the study area. The richest diversity of Usnea species is found in the Lotoshino and Taldom districts and at the intersection of the Volokolamsk, Ruza, and Istra districts, where there are no large polluting industrial objects and, according to ecomonitoring data, the air quality is the highest (with the lowest levels of harmful substances and dust particles). Usnea hirta and U. dasopoga are most widespread species of the genus Usnea in MO. Usnea lapponica and U. glabrescens are the rarest species, U. subfloridana is relatively rare. The reliability of the habitat of U. florida, U. glabrata in MO has not been confirmed yet. Usnea species are mainly present in the western and north-western portions of MO. These lichens are rarely found in the south-eastern portion of MO and on sites near big cities. Ecologically Usnea lichens gravitate toward wet and waterlogged old-growth coniferous forests, glades, and small foliar trees along river valleys, as well as edge parts of forested marshes and raised bogs. In these landscapes, the thallus of Usnea reaches the maximum size. Usnea species occur frequently and cover abundantly tree branches and trunks with multi-species sets of 2–4 epiphyte lichens (including species from other taxa). We analyzed geoinformation support at agricultural enterprises in the Republic of Kazakhstan and its regions. The paper presents methodology for the development of GIS technologies to be applied at an agricultural enterprise. The study was conducted for the North Kazakhstan Agricultural Experimental Station LLP, which is a farm located in the North Kazakhstan Region. The GIS was developed based on the application of systemic and integrated approaches to agricultural landscape research and mapping. The GIS creation included several stages: determining the structure and content of the GIS; designing the GIS model; collecting, scanning, converting, and processing the data; developing a digital map base and a database; inputting information into the system. We created a digital map base and a database including information about the natural conditions and agricultural activities of the farm. Currently, GIS technologies are not utilized to the full extent. This is partly due to the poor technical support and human resources and the insufficiently regulated data exchange between government agencies. We have conducted a detailed review of the legal regulation of state land supervision at the current stage; regulatory acts aimed at improving the quality of supervisory activities are outlined in the paper. The article considers introduction of the risk-based approach and administrative surveying of land plots. Particular attention is paid to the methods of remote sensing of land to obtain real-time information about land use violations. The paper shows the advantages of using geoinformation technologies in land supervision. The problems of using geoinformation systems by supervisory authorities at the federal and regional levels are analyzed. We study the peculiarities and difficulties connected with the introduction of GIS technologies through the example of Perm Krai. We provide synoptic maps and satellite images, actual and forecast data, analyze in detail the synoptic situation that led to the occurrence of the dangerous phenomena, as well as the general characteristics of the formation of dust storms in the western part of Kazakhstan. In the winter period, the north-eastern part of the Caspian Sea and the entire Atyrau region are under the influence of the western ridge of the Asian (Siberian) high pressure area. The center of high pressure in the winter is located over the central part of Mongolia, in the summer - over the European territory of Russia, therefore winds with a northerly component are a frequent phenomenon in the Atyrau region. We have established that the occurrence and development of dust storms were conditioned by a complex of meteorological factors, including a strong gale wind (more than 15 m/s), shallow freezing of the soil, desiccation and dispersion of the upper layer of the soil, absence of snow cover and ice crusts, weak vegetation cover, and presence of vast open spaces. Above all, this refers to agricultural landscapes of the forest steppe zone of North Kazakhstan, which is the oldest region of the country’s dryland farming. The article deals with a relevant direction of agrolandscape research – geoinformation agrolandscape mapping with the use of aerial photography materials from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The aim of the work is to prepare optimal cartographic support for effective agricultural production in light of agricultural intensification in the region and depletion of natural fertility resources. Modern methods of geoinformation agrolandscape mapping have been used, their effectiveness is shown through the example of key areas. The features of the landscape structure of outlier forest steppe agrolandscapes have been identified with the help of utilitarian agroecological typology of land; the types of basic geoinformation cartographic materials to be used in precision agriculture have been defined. Special attention is paid to studying three levels of migration processes in the territory: - Comparison of population migration in the regional center with migration in the region as a whole. - Finding the typical features of intraregional, interregional, and international migration. - Identification of differences in male and female migration. As an information basis for the study, we used official statistics of municipalities for 6 years (from 2014 to 2019), namely the number of arriving and leaving migrants by gender and by type of migration. Spatial analysis and mapping of the results were performed with the help of ArcGIS Pro tools. Using Getis-Ord Gi * metric (Hot Spot Analysis tool from the Spatial Statistics set), statistically significant spatial clusters of high and low values (hot and cold spots) were identified for the selected indicators. The minimum cluster size was defined as a set of municipalities sharing a common border with the given municipal formation. The paper proposes a new method of multi-scale monitoring of the territory’s image in social media, which can be adapted for other regions of Russia. The analysis of information in social media makes it possible to identify the peculiarities of the representation of a particular territory, as well as the mental connections between municipalities, cities, regions, and the degree of their influence on the geographical image of each other. With the data collected by the Medialogia information and analytical system, the geography of publications, their authors, their audience at the federal, regional, and local levels were studied. Based on this material, the intensity, both absolute and relative, and the tonality of the information flow for each municipality of the North Caucasus Federal District were determined. The leading regional centers for the formation of social media content were identified. The most frequently mentioned topics, words, and hashtags in relation to each territory were considered. A geographical analysis of the features of the formation of information messages was carried out, which made it possible to identify territories with a predominance of an external or internal image. On the basis of the analysis, the characteristic types of the information flow structure were proposed. The main problems of forming a positive image of the North Caucasus territory in social media are were identified.
