Panchenko","doi":"10.32840/cpu2219-8741/2023.1(53).10","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32840/cpu2219-8741/2023.1(53).10","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong><em>The study purpose </em></strong><em>is to outline the developing paradigm of new socio-cultural reality, changes in ideological priorities, and to reveal new cultural phenomena represented in media texts after February 24, 2022.</em></p><p><strong><em>Research Methodology. </em></strong><em>The research applied such methods of scientific knowledge as: historical comparison that was used to analyze and systematize the data on changes in spiritual and cultural national baselines that emerged as the result of Ukrainian society transformation under wartime conditions and were described and reviewed in journalistic texts of a social and cultural nature; the method of data classification and compilation that enabled the clarification and description of vectors for the development of social and cultural content of personal journalism in leading socio-political Gazeta.ua and  День.ua web-based media.</em></p><p><strong><em>Results. </em></strong><em>One of the key tasks of journalism in the frames of the social and cultural paradigm is the demythologization of concepts related to the aggressor country, the liberation from empire myths, and rewriting of history. This will benefit the decolonization of Ukrainian culture, which is a long and complicated (though very important) process, especially for the purposes of struggling for self-identification.</em></p><p><em>Due to the unstable and complex social situation under the conditions of Russian aggression, each individual has to realize his/her significance as a citizen and a feeling of spiritual exaltation. This is possible by constructing positive myths that actualise the universal spiritual values of the Ukrainian nation in particular and human civilization in general.</em></p><p><em>At this stage, the social and cultural role of journalism consists not only in spreading the realignment and unveiling artificial myths of the Soviet era but in producing positive national myths that will be aimed at strengthening and retaining national identity and will contribute to representing the image of Ukraine around the world.</em></p><p><strong><em>Novelty. </em></strong><em>The paper makes an attempt to define the social and cultural role of journalism under the conditions of war; new cultural milestones aimed at realigning imperial myths and new cultural phenomena of national myth formation represented in journalistic texts after February 24, 2022, were set</em><em>.</em><em></em></p><p><strong><em>Practical significance. </em></strong><em>The research results could be used for the purpose of further developing personal journalism and representing new strategies of national identity formation to the mass media public.</em></p><p><strong><em>Key words: </em></strong><em>socio-cultural role of journalism, national identity, ideological priorities, cultural phenomena, demythologization, formation of national myths.</em></p>","PeriodicalId":345460,"journal":{"name":"State and Regions. To systematize the practices of teaching the free choice discipline «Personal Producing» and to estimate students’ satisfaction with the level of the course teaching, as well as to adjust the content of the said discipline based on the study results, the following methods were used: document analysis (to track the transformation of the course work programs’ content over three years); analysis of projects presented within the «Personal Producing» elective discipline for 2020–22 (to collect primary information and select the best examples); selective anonymous survey of students who chose the discipline in the 2022/23 academic year using Google-forms to determine the level of satisfaction with the course learning (11 persons choose the discipline, 6 persons took part in the survey). The questionnaire contained 7 questions: 5 with multiple-choice answers and 2 open-ended questions. To process the information received, the following methods of generalization and analysis of information were used: systematization, grouping, qualitative (text analysis, classification) and quantitative (digital data) methods of data interpretation.Results. It was established that the implementation of the student-centered learning principle within the «Personal Producing» course occurs at several levels: 1) the actual choice of discipline; 2) the possibility to influence the course content formation; 3) the choice of project type (work with a producing subject or self-producing); 4) the choice of the project itself (from idea to its implementation) – allows students to acquire knowledge, as well as master practical skills and abilities, develop general and professional competencies, including creativity and innovation. The project-based approach to teaching and the course content construction based on such components as: the producer person in the creative industries system and the producing-subject person + personal brand (formation or rebranding) + producing strategy + project report (in a creative form) allow students to implement their own projects from idea to potential/actual monetization.The involvement of students (through surveys) in adjusting the discipline content makes it possible to properly update the course and ensure justified interest in it, which, in turn, helps students become competitive professionals.Novelty. Based on the data obtained, it is possible to update the «Personal Producing» course content by deepening the topics of the «psychological block» (communication with the producing subject, producer’s orthobiosis, the professional «burnout» problem, stress resistance), and also, taking into account the trend that students have begun to choose business representatives as producing subjects more often, to add to the practical activities more cases with the analysis of business people’s ","PeriodicalId":345460,"journal":{"name":"State and Regions. In the process of the research of the internal and external components of the communication policy of one of the most progressive municipalities of the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as the direct participation of the article’s author in the development of its qualitative components, which are part of the strategic documents of the analyzed municipality, scientific research methods and practical implementation tools were involved, in particular, monitoring, SWOT analysis, public hearings, project activities, modeling, comparative, and structural analysis.Results. The introduction of martial law in Ukraine changed the functioning and development of territorial municipalities, a large part of which ended up in the war zone (or periodically falls into this list). However, previous achievements in the direction of sustainable processes of decentralization, in particular with regard to developed tools/channels of local communication in municipalities, are an actual object of attention because, under the conditions of military aggression, they became an effective means of humanitarian stabilization and security measures, prompted the patriotic impulse and emotional upsurge of Ukrainians at the beginning of the military invasion, and should contribute to the effective restoration of democratic processes after the end of hostilities. Sustainable communication positioning is a powerful tool for the development of the territory not only in its quantitative (defined as absolute indicators of marketing positioning) but also in its qualitative (defined as conventional indicators of the formation of a favorable image and communication strategies for the community) dimension.Novelty. The work proves that branding and the use of marketing communications in the positioning of rural and township territories is an effective tool, on the one hand, for forming the image of a municipality’s attractiveness and its competitiveness both in the regional and all-Ukrainian administrative and territorial space, and, on the other hand, as means of internal consolidation and improvement of the lives of local residents.Practical value. The research methodological apparatus is based on the use of the central method of a non-representative survey in the form of a questionnaire using the electronic service «Google Forms» (83 respondents). Methods of analysis, induction, and generalization were used to understand the quantitative results of the study; the bibliographic-descriptive method and secondary analysis of the results of specific scientific and sociological research conducted by Ukrainian and international scientists were implemented to deepen the research with valuable secondary scientific information.Based on the results of the conducted survey, we set ourselves the ambitious task of understanding the prospects for radio broadcasting progress under the current conditions of turbulence in the information space of Ukraine. For this purpose, it is necessary to outline the potential and relevance of radio in the modern media space, to find out what expectations the users have from the radio product, and to determine the vectors of its progress under the conditions of the post-war information space.Results. The progress of over-the-air radio broadcasting in the structure of social information for the population during the war, as a central public media channel for operational notification, informing about current events, and relieving the emotional tension of Ukrainians in stressful conditions, is studied. Using the quantitative results of the conducted empirical research, the author’s hypothesis about the increase in the level of receptivity and demand for radio content in the structure of weekly listening to the air by Ukrainians within the country in conditions of limited access to electricity supply and network coverage of mobile operators and the Internet has been proven. The reorientation of Ukrainian youth towards Ukrainian music content, their refusal to listen to Russian music, and their replacement of it with Ukrainian and international (except for the aggressor country) musical compositions of various styles were noted.Novelty. For the first time, the prospects for radio broadcasting progress in the modern conditions of turbulence in the information space of Ukraine were thought out. For this purpose, the potential and relevance of radio in the modern media space were outlined, the expectations of users of the radio product were clarified, and the vectors of its progress in the conditions of the post-war information space were determined.Practical importance. To understand the phenomenon of branding, methods of analysis and synthesis, and descriptive method were used; ascertainment of the specifics of medical institutions branding required the use of monitoring, content analysis, comparison and survey methods.Results. The trends and specifics of branding in the medical field («medical marketing»/«medical services marketing») were represented. Modern ways of updating content for information and communication interaction with the audience of a medical institution, in particular a maternity hospital, were described. The dominant communication tools for establishing contact with clients through social networks were characterized, in particular: video stories about the institution and its employees; materials with expert comments of specialists (doctors); live broadcasts with medical workers of the institution. The designed and implemented concept of content strategy in social networks for the maternity hospital number 9 of Zaporizhzhia was presented. The main components of corporate style and their implementation on the pages of the «Ninth» in social networks were revealed. As a result of the conducted online survey, a high assessment of the quality of the page information content on the Instagram platform was observed. It was found that the basic share of the target audience of the maternity hospital pages in social networks is pregnant women and women who have given birth, and therefore, in order to expand the circle of interested people, it is necessary to increase the percentage of content for those who are at the stage of pregnancy planning.Novelty of the research consists in studying the specifics of branding such a type of medical institution as a maternity hospital; formation and implementation of the content strategy concept for organizing its pages in social networks, as well as studying the effectiveness of their content for information and communication interaction with the target audience.Practical significance. Empirical and theoretical research methods were used in the research process. In particular, these are methods of analysis of television products of regional media, comparison of television products before and after the war, as well as in several media, content analysis of individual television materials and observation. At the first stage of the research, the method of analyzing theoretical sources and already published studies on the topic of regional TV channels, their activity and level of development, response to events taking place in the region, the state and the world was used. During the second stage, specific television materials and broadcasts of individual regional TV channels of Ukraine were analyzed in terms of genre and thematic changes after the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine – that is, after February 24, 2022.Results. Regional TV channels remain an important source of information for residents of individual Ukrainian regions, an audience that trusts these media and constantly follows their news. It is such broadcasters who distribute important informational, artistic and analytical audiovisual products on local, national and global topics through a regional prism. The war, as the number one topic in the public life of Ukraine and one of the leading and most discussed topics far beyond its borders, somehow made corrections not only in the functioning of the media themselves, but also in their thematic content and genre diversity. As a result, regional TV channels have changed the broadcast network, creating audiovisual products, primarily on the topic of war, post-war changes, support for internally displaced persons, and the world’s reaction to the events in Ukraine. At the same time, moving away from the previously most used informational and analytical genres, expanding their list and diluting it with artistic genres.Novelty. The novelty of the work consists in the analysis of how regional broadcasters (television channels) react to the cardinal social and political changes in the life of the state – a full-scale war, try to continue to provide the informational needs of their audience, while at the same time moving away from the previously approved telecasts, dividing topics by importance and enrichment and change of genre diversity used in television broadcasting. Research can be used for further analyzes and observations of the level of development and formation of regional (local) TV channels of Ukraine, their contribution to the information war and counter-propaganda of Russian lies.Practical meaning. Porpulit","doi":"10.32840/cpu2219-8741/2022.4(52).20","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32840/cpu2219-8741/2022.4(52).20","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong><em>The aim of the study</em></strong><em> is to determine the role of parents in controlling the interaction of younger school students (primary school) and adolescents with the digital environment during the duration of the martial law, to examine the emotional, evaluative and personal-semantic relations in the family environment that arise as a result of parental control over child’s digital interaction.</em><strong><em> </em></strong><em></em></p><p><strong><em>Research methodology.</em></strong><em> To solve the research tasks, a number of special research methods were used: unstructured interviews, focus group, questionnaires, and Likert scale.</em></p><p><strong><em>Results.</em></strong><em> The study of the vector of children's interaction with the digital / family environment during the active military invasion in Ukraine made it possible to state there are different trends in the assessment by children of different ages of the ease/difficulty of communication with parents (primary school children mark their own communication with parents as “very easy” by 10% more, adolescents, on the contrary, show a decrease in the share of those who find it easy to talk to their parents – by 8%). Aware of the dangerous trends of arbitrary and uncontrolled stay of the child in the digital environment, only 9.3% of parents refused to control network activity due to trust in the child. On the other hand, 57.1% of parents among those who answered that they exercise control “constantly” and “often” stressed that they face conflict situations from time to time. Relationships between parents and children that are based on feelings of kindness, love, care, concern, and respect for each other have a positive influence on the development of the child, determined by meaningful emotional and volitional efforts and manifested in real interpersonal situations.</em></p><p><strong><em>Novelty.</em></strong><em> The study of the factors of favorable / unfavourable influence of the digital / family environment on the emotional and psychological state of children against the background of active hostilities in Ukraine, clarification of the role of parents in controlling the interaction of younger students and adolescents with the digital environment under martial law is carried out for the first time.</em></p><p><strong><em>The practical significance.</em></strong><em> The obtained results will contribute to the study of the impact of the social environment on the development of children, taking into account different age groups of children; defining a system of indicators for the successful impact of the digital environment on children of different age groups.</em></p><p><strong><em>Key words:</em></strong><em> digital environment, network activity, social networks, virtual agents of socialization.</em><em></em></p><div><div><p> </p></div></div>","PeriodicalId":345460,"journal":{"name":"State and Regions. To study the phenomena of genocide and post-memory, methods of analysis and synthesis were used, and a survey was conducted of students who attended the course «Media content in the information society» (2021 and 2022) in order to reveal the knowledge of the young audience about genocides in world history. The expert interview method was used to reveal the dependence of propaganda tools such as hate speech and creating an image of the enemy, and actions aimed at discrimination and genocide. The method of interpretation is used to work with images of media reality.Results. The mass media are the creators of media reality and are responsible for creating the dominant ideas in totalitarian and near-totalitarian societies, when people’s right to choose and electoral laws replace manipulation and unfair elections. Creating the image of the enemy and hate speech are part of the media image of Ukrainians created in the Russian information space to justify the killing of Ukrainians, genocide. The experience of survival is related to social memory, however, when traumatic memories of experienced cruelty remain unreflected, postmemory takes their place. This term was formulated by M. Hirsch during his research on the Holocaust.The article is devoted to issues of media instruments of genocide as a language of enmity, forming the image of the enemy. The work uses the results of a survey of the student audience, as well as student observations regarding media instruments for the formation of media reality in the context of genocide. Surveys show that the Holocaust is known to a wide audience as the most famous tragedy of the genocide of the Jewish people, but the understanding that similar tragedies happen in the world later and now is not formed. Various media projects should highlight this topic. For Ukraine, this is a period of awareness of the many negative consequences of human discrimination and awareness of the necessity and importance of European values. Novelty. The formation of media reality demonstrates the conditioning of discriminatory media practices, the creation of an image of the enemy, propaganda myths with the actions of an aggressor who commits genocide. Such instruments of creating media reality as hate speech, creating an image of the enemy are also instruments for preparing and carrying out genocide. This condition is traced in the article.Practical significance. Kyrychok","doi":"10.32840/cpu2219-8741/2022.4(52).2","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32840/cpu2219-8741/2022.4(52).2","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong><em>The purpose of the research </em></strong><em>is to analyze the specificity of crisis communication study in the public administration field.</em></p><p><strong><em>Research methodology. </em></strong><em>The methodological basis of the research involves the use of general scientific methods to study social phenomena and processes (analysis, synthesis, modeling, typologization, extrapolation, interpretation, abstracting, generalization, as well as methods of systemic, comparative, and structural-functional analysis).</em></p><p><strong><em>Results. </em></strong><em>It is shown that the development of the state and society is constantly faced with crises of various nature and degree of consequences criticality. As a result of crisis manifestations (unpredictability of consequences, uncontrollability, instability), the need for effective communications of public authorities and society increases significantly. It was found that crisis communications in public administration should be characterized by a quick response to the situation; reliable provision of relevant information to interested groups; demonstrating the position of openness. Crisis communications management focuses on pre-crisis, crisis and post-crisis periods based on the collection, processing and dissemination of information for management decision-making. It was established that effective public management of crisis communications minimizes the time to eliminate the crisis, helps restore control over the situation, and strengthens social confidence in public authorities.</em></p><p><strong><em>Novelty. </em></strong><em>The novelty of the research consists in establishing the features of crisis communications in the public administration system and defining approaches to crisis communications management.</em></p><p><strong><em>Practical importance.</em></strong><em> The results of this study can be used as a basis for the formation of a public management system of crisis communications in order to increase the potential of public authorities in crisis periods.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><em> public administration, crisis situation, crisis communications, information and communication technologies.</em></p>","PeriodicalId":345460,"journal":{"name":"State and Regions.
