The situation is difficult to predict due to political and legislative interventions, changes in the economic performance of the tourism sector, and massive changes in demand. The paper aims at depicting the current macro-economic trends that have an impact on the tourism sector, thus contributing to the formation of some basis of inputs into the discussion concerning a possible orientation of the sector and businesses and future creation of services and products in the European area. The objective is achieved using the model of PESTLE analysis based on a comparative analysis of the latest and the most recent factors of the macroeconomic marketing environment, the findings of a study on a change in mobility of the inhabitants of the Czech Republic, trends in the tourism sector before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The presented findings provide a basis for discussion on the concept orientation and the creation of tourism services and products in the Czech Republic and Europe.","PeriodicalId":344559,"journal":{"name":"LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123409590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its purpose is to reduce the travel time of emergency vehicles. The paper submitted examines ways to optimize the travel time for emergency vehicles and for other drivers on the roads. The paper takes into account the fact that all vehicles accelerate and decelerate at different speeds and the fact that there might be several traffic guided lights and non-guided lights on the roads. There are other factors considered, such as the speed and safety, in order to create a sustainable solution that can be implemented at scale. SUMO simulation libraries are used to create an environment as close to reality as possible. The trade-off between the number of variables selected and the approximation of a real situation has been carefully selected so that the solution is also feasible in real-life situations.","PeriodicalId":344559,"journal":{"name":"LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131804112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Three-wheeled vehicles have been designed and manufactured as units which are made up of one front wheel and two rear wheels, powered by an electric drive-train, and referred to in some countries under a non-English term as E-3kolka. These vehicles also comprise a special steering mechanism which improves their overturning stability when driving around curves. However, several tests have revealed certain deficiencies of the steering mechanism, where the main issue included unreliable self-restraining effect of steering wheel straightening after driving around a curve. This may even lead to unacceptable properties of the vehicle. Therefore, the authors of this paper suggest particular technical solutions to eliminate or completely avoid the described negative effects during driving. Proposed designs are mutually compared and a final decision is presented.","PeriodicalId":344559,"journal":{"name":"LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics","volume":"16 6","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120994306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, the concept of waste and related issues were characterized and a waste transport company in the city of Piła was discussed. The problems encountered in waste logistics were depicted. In the research part, with the use of a survey among city residents, functioning of the current logistics chain was verified. The questions of the survey focus on the logistics activities carried out during the collection of waste from the city. The study was conducted in an open manner, while maintaining anonymity for the respondents. The questions included in the survey make it possible to illustrate the residents´ awareness of waste segregation, the method of displaying waste, the residents’ opinion on the regularity of waste collection by a local company providing these services. In the second part of the study, the effectiveness of waste collection in the city center in single-family houses was observed in the period from March, 2019 to October, 2020. On the basis of the conducted research, it can be concluded that the operating system for collecting waste from city residents is good but not ideal, as in most cities in Poland.","PeriodicalId":344559,"journal":{"name":"LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127426320","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This development is supported and required by a number of public administration organizations. This research deals with the monitoring of selected parameters for different types of means of transport, while the unifying element is consumption and emissions per passenger. The aim of the research is to determine the optimal vehicle for passenger transport for selected transport between two specific cities in Slovakia, Europe. The research used methods of analysis of energy intensity and emissions of individual transport units, while fuel consumption in a particular transport relationship is a decisive evaluation factor, which includes the calculation of experimental measurements in a real traffic situation. The various data and diagrams provide relevant data on the fuel consumption values achieved by the experiment converted to fuel consumption. The research is given as an example, and its principle can be applied in other specific localities. it can be applied to others, they may also apply to other transport routes.","PeriodicalId":344559,"journal":{"name":"LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125304796","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New investments in land, buildings and material handling equipment are carried out for the longer term. As the global business environment in which a company needs to decide on location is becoming more uncertain every day, it is of huge importance to make a thoughtful and ‘future-proof’ decision on the location for a new distribution site. Allocation can also be defined as a process that results in finding a position for a warehouse, company, production, people, things, and activities in a specific area. A newly built distribution site is impossible to be moved in a short period of time, so the decision on where to build a distribution site, warehouse, or manufacturing plant is of vital and strategic importance.","PeriodicalId":344559,"journal":{"name":"LOGI – Scientific Journal on Transport and Logistics","volume":"119 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133685483","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
