Power quality problems increases due to these nonlinear loads. Major power quality problem is the current harmonics. Shunt active filter (SHAF) is used to reduce the current harmonics. Response and the accuracy of filter depends on the method used for the extraction of reference current. A new topology has been proposed in this this paper to minimize the current harmonics by controlling shunt active filter using fuzzy logic controller (FLC) with instantaneous active and reactive current theory (id and idwithin the limit of IEEE Std. 519. Under different supply voltage conditions simulation is done with fuzzy logic controller and synchronous reference frame technique. To analyze the performance of SHAF three phase four wire (3P4W) system is considered. Identity management is more important than ever as to strengthen global security, make transportation safer and protect a vital commercial entrance. Iris recognition recognizes people very accurately and reliably based on the random texture that visible on the iris of the eye while also being one of the least invasive. To thrive an iris pattern identification algorithm with approximately zero false acceptance rate, this paper analyses various edge area detection techniques applying in different iris images. Every algorithm should pass through some basic image pre-processing steps due to iris image quality, including nonlinearly distorted iris images, iris images at a distance or moving condition, and falsified iris images all are open difficulties in this recognition system. A basic work to solve the problems is to study, design and develop various algorithms for all these variations of images. Although current literature has a variety of edge detection techniques like canny, Sobel, Prewitt, this paper does not always lead to acceptable results. But the experimental result demonstrates that the Canny's algorithm performs comparatively better to detect edge points in a digital image even at a slow rate change of gray level. We have examined noisy iris images applying salt and pepper noise as well as Gaussian noise. Different filtering techniques can be applied to eradicate the undesirable noise. The effects of edge detection techniques of the mean, median and Gaussian filtered images have been observed in the paper. Gaussian filter is powerful for noise eradication. When the Gaussian filter in the vertical orientation is implemented to normalize iris image, the time complexity of this approach is reduced considerably. The traffic system currently implemented in many areas is not based on the density of traffic and every road is allotted a preset time. This results in traffic congestion due to large red-light delays and timings allotted for roads in a city that should vary during peak on-off hours, but in reality don't. These traditional systems are not adaptable and fail to support traffic during an unexpected situation or during an accident, and this makes them inefficient. In order to calculate the density of traffic various sensors can be used, each having their merits and demerits. In our proposed system Ultrasound Sensors are used along with Image Processing(using live feed from a camera) that works on a Raspberry Pi platform and calculates the vehicle density and dynamically allots time for different levels of traffic. This in turn allows better signal control and effective management of traffic thereby reducing the probability of a collision. By using Internet Of Things(IoT) real time data from the system can be collected, stored and managed on a cloud. Cardiovascular disease is a broad category for a range of diseases that are affecting heart and blood vessels. The early methods of forecasting the cardiovascular diseases helped in making decisions about the changes to have occurred in high-risk patients which resulted in the reduction of their risks. The health care industry contains lots of medical data, therefore machine learning algorithms are required to make decisions effectively in the prediction of heart diseases. Recent research has delved into uniting these techniques to provide hybrid machine learning algorithms. In the proposed research, data pre-processing uses techniques like the removal of noisy data, removal of missing data, filling default values if applicable and classification of attributes for prediction and decision making at different levels. The performance of the diagnosis model is obtained by using methods like classification, accuracy, sensitivity and specificity analysis. This project proposes a prediction model to predict whether a people have a heart disease or not and to provide an awareness or diagnosis on that. However, on studying the past incidents it was understood that rescue operations could not be launched immediately after an incident due to: nonavailability of infrastructure and detection systems of humans immediately onsite, risk of repetition of the occurrence such as further earth slips, limitations of detection at night times mostly after an earth slip occurred, natural reluctance of taking the risk of proceeding into danger by humans specially during dark hours. At this backdrop, it is well understood that there is an obvious limitation in surveillance and detection capability of human based rescue parties. Furthermore, the risk of utilizing further lives for rescue operations may not justify, if repetition of the occurrence is very much imminent. However, rescuing of the affected lives demands immediate attention and delaying the same may aggravate the possible endeavors as well as may nullify the effectiveness of further rescue efforts. This research endeavors to add an effective additional dimension to the disaster rescue operations by addition of movability, longer range and close vicinity surveillance by utilizing a group of quadcopter, crawling and earth piercing robots. All platforms are being equipped with a detector for thermal signature. The proposed solution keeps the humans at bay and could prevent risking human lives, but utterly risking the robots. The system presents fast gesture recognition with low complexity algorithms for controlling real-time media in automotive systems. In the proposed vision-based system two modules are interconnected: one module recognizes the hand gesture in the region of interaction and another module does the task of selection of music from the media player using Raspberry pi. Modelling of PD permits an improved consideration of the occurrences. In this review paper, a simulation model has been considered for spherical cavity within a dielectric material which is homogenous. The model is simulated using method called as Finite Element Method (FEM) with the help of ANSYS-software. PD action inside a void is subjective to several parameters. Here applied voltage is considered as one of its parameter. Different PD patterns are obtained when subjected to different applied volatages and leads to failure of insulation. The applied voltage that is considered here is AC sinusoidal voltage.
