Descriptive analysis and comparative analysis were employed to examine the demographic factors for teachers’ belief about CPD in three aspects: updating activities (UA), reflective activities (RA) and collaborative activities (CA). Findings indicate that teachers' beliefs of reflective activities about CPD were relatively stronger than collaborative activities and updating activities. There are gender differences in reflective activities; female teachers’ beliefs about CPD in the reflective activities were relatively stronger than those of male teachers. For age differences, the data showed that the reflective activities increase almost the same as the age growth, but the age group (41-45) and (46-50) as an exceptional. For regional differences play a significant role in determining teachers’ beliefs in all three activities, future research is needed to identify the underlying mechanisms driving these regional differences. University rankings differences in updating activities showed its significance. The implications of these findings are crucial for teacher educators, and training planners to promote stronger beliefs with a much clearer plan for the reasonable arrangement and design of three activities among teachers.","PeriodicalId":343498,"journal":{"name":"The EUrASEANs: journal on global socio-economic dynamics","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139231800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The measuring instrument for learner autonomy (MILLA) and the strategy inventory for language learning (SILL) were used to collect data. Then, the relationship between learner autonomy and preference for language learning strategies was analyzed using Pearson Correlation. The results of the quantitative research revealed that participants perceived themselves as high-level autonomy learners (mean = 3.88, SD = 0.47) in all dimensions, including technical, psychological, political, philosophical, and socio-cultural dimensions. They usually use language learning strategies (mean = 3.57, SD = 0.67) of both direct and indirect strategies. The Chinese junior high school students perceived that they had the capacity to decide their goals and the contents of learning English. However, they also hoped that the teacher could be a collaborator during their learning process. They reported that they used meta-cognitive strategies at the highest frequency (mean = 3.68, SD = 0.78), while compensation strategies were reported at the lowest frequency (mean = 3.36, SD = 0.76). A moderate positive correlation (r = 0.68, 0.01 level 2-tailed) was found between the level of learner autonomy and the preference for language learning strategies. Suggestions and practical implications are offered for teachers to help students consciously use language learning strategies that can subsequently help them become autonomous learners.","PeriodicalId":343498,"journal":{"name":"The EUrASEANs: journal on global socio-economic dynamics","volume":"29 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139235828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim was to help college students smoothly enter society and have better career prospects. This study utilized qualitative and quantitative methods, conducting content analysis on ideal AOUs student transformational leadership skills, which include a sense of responsibility, self-dedication, vision, teamwork, innovation, problem-solving skills, communication, and listening. The results of the content analysis were validated by five experts. The study also collected 1,002 survey questionnaires from AOUs students in Shanxi, China. The study found that five leadership activities influenced the level of transformational leadership skills: participation in leadership workshops, students’ councils, student clubs, volunteer activities, and social practice activities. Additionally, the study highlighted the similarities between Chinese Confucian thought and Western transformational leadership theory. The four philosophical ideas of Confucianism were found to be applicable in understanding Western leadership theories and guiding students' participation in related activities. The recommendations emphasize the prioritization of transformational leadership skills by stakeholders, recognizing their broad utility and crucial role in students' future success.","PeriodicalId":343498,"journal":{"name":"The EUrASEANs: journal on global socio-economic dynamics","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139236025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Prior to distributing the questionnaires, the content validity and reliability were assessed using Item-Objective Congruence and pilot testing. Goodness of model fit was analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling, and causal relationships between variables were determined for hypothesis testing. The study found that the conceptual model was able to predict behavioral intention (BI) to use mobile educational platforms in higher education, and that perceived ease of use (PEU) and attitude towards use (ATT) were the two key antecedents of behavioral intention to use mobile educational platforms. It is concluded that ATT is the strongest factor in direct BI use and that social influence, convenience and expected performance have a significant effect on ATT. Therefore, this study suggests that mobile educational platform developers and higher education administrators should focus on improving the usability factors of mobile educational platforms so that students find the platform useful and further develop good attitudes and behavioral intentions to use mobile educational platforms.","PeriodicalId":343498,"journal":{"name":"The EUrASEANs: journal on global socio-economic dynamics","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139236178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

College students use the Internet to search for information, browse information, send and receive emails, chat and make friends, play games, and watch live broadcasts. The network has become an important part of college students' studies. However, while the Internet brings a lot of convenience to college students, it also causes many college students to rely on or even become addicted to the Internet. This problem not only has a negative impact on the physical and mental growth of college students but also becomes a practical management problem faced by universities and even the whole education field. Based on summarizing relevant research at home and abroad, this study uses a questionnaire survey and statistical analysis to carry out empirical research. Taking college students in H university as the research object, 502 valid questionnaires were collected. Through regression and mediating analysis, the theoretical hypothesis that college students' social support has a negative effect on Internet dependence and that college students' social efficacy plays a mediating role in the process of social support's influence on Internet dependence was verified. The mediating model of college students' social support, social efficacy, and network dependence was constructed. From the perspectives of family, school, society, and individual students, the research also puts forward some suggestions to reduce college students' Internet dependence and cultivate the correct concept of the Internet.","PeriodicalId":343498,"journal":{"name":"The EUrASEANs: journal on global socio-economic dynamics","volume":"54 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139235719","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample group consisted of 20 grade 5 students from Singapore. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected through a pre-test, post-test, questionnaire, and semi-structured interview over the course of eight sessions. The results from the pre-test and post-test indicated an improvement in the language writing skills of the sample group students, with post-test scores (x̅ = 15, SD = 0.73) surpassing pre-test scores (x̅ = 17.2, SD = 0.77). The data gathered from the participants suggested that all items on the survey received high ratings. The majority of students in the sample group demonstrated a positive attitude towards using the imitation writing teaching method in Chinese writing learning. This study suggests that the imitation writing teaching method offers an alternative and effective approach to Chinese writing instruction. Therefore, Chinese language educators worldwide, including those in China, can consider incorporating this method into their Chinese teaching methodologies.","PeriodicalId":343498,"journal":{"name":"The EUrASEANs: journal on global socio-economic dynamics","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139235775","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The foundational conceptual framework extends to include demographic variables such as gender, age, and education. Based on this structure, the study presents the following hypotheses: 1. Positive relationship between organizational culture and retention intentions. 2. Positive impact of informal organizational communication on retention intentions. 3. Mediating role of retention intentions in the organizational culture-innovative behavior link. 4. Mediating role of retention intentions in the informal organizational communication-innovative behavior link. 5. Within the context of retention intentions as a mediator, this hypothesis asserts that both organizational culture and informal organizational communication positively affect the innovative behavior of Chinese R&D personnel. The research methodology involved the distribution and retrieval of 500 questionnaires through a stratified sampling approach within the Chinese R&D workforce, encompassing both public and private organizations across the technology, pharmaceutical, automotive, and electronics sectors. The study's findings indicate a robust positive relationship between organizational culture and employees' inclination to remain within the organization. Similarly, a strong positive association exists between informal organizational communication and the willingness of employees to stay. Through an empirical exploration of Chinese R&D personnel across diverse industry domains, this research delves into the intrinsic dimensions of organizational culture, informal organizational communication, retention intentions, and employee innovative behavior. These findings contribute valuable insights to organizations' developmental endeavors.","PeriodicalId":343498,"journal":{"name":"The EUrASEANs: journal on global socio-economic dynamics","volume":"47 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139289679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
