En esta cuestión, el Doctor Eximio parte de presupuestos elaborados por Tomás de Aquino que amplía y adapta siguiendo sus propias tesis metafísicas y teológicas sobre la relación entre Dios y las creaturas. Mostraremos cómo Suárez vincula el verdadero involuntario con el simpliciter, lo forzado, necesario e indeseado, dejando al secundum quid como un acto mixto en el que la libertad y la voluntad, pese a las injerencias externas, no quedan anuladas. Argumentaré que el comentario de Miguel al De motu animalium merece ser tratado seriamente. En la medida en que Miguel a veces emplea un modelo conceptual estoico para explicar Aristóteles, propone una idea nueva sobre cómo entender la teoría aristotélica de la acción. Las interpretaciones del texto aristotélico por parte de Miguel no son meras repeticiones; en algunos pasajes se advierten desarrollos que van más allá de Aristóteles, aun cuando presuponen premisas aristotélicas bastante claras. Utrera","doi":"10.34096/petm.v42.n2.10369","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.34096/petm.v42.n2.10369","url":null,"abstract":"Desde el origen de la Universidad de París en la segunda década del siglo XIII, los enfrentamientos entre los magistri artium y teológos, además de ser muchos, tuvieron fuertes consecuencias contra los primeros: condenas por parte de la Iglesia, excomulgaciones, prohibiciones, y numerosos exilios de aquellos que seguían divulgando las tesis condenadas entre sus estudiantes. El siguiente estudio está basado en la única edición disponible, del De Laudibus Parisiis1 de Juan de Jandún (cuya traducción parcial ofrecemos en anexo), uno de los tantos maestros parisinos que se vieron obligados al exilio. A lo largo del trabajo se introducirá a este polémico personaje abordando brevemente su biografía, las controversias en las que tuvo participación y, principalmente, el elogio de la ciudad parisina que surgió como respuesta a una de esas disputas vividas. {"title":"The Reception of Boethian Topics in the Early Middle Ages","authors":"Fiorella Magnano","doi":"10.34096/petm.v42.n2.10035","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.34096/petm.v42.n2.10035","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this study is to focus on the coexistence, during the transmission of the doctrine on the Topics in the early Middle Ages, of two different interpretations: although both emerge from two commentaries on Cicero’s Topics, however, they gave rise to two different readings: the one transmitted by Marius Victorinus (ca. 280-365 AC) who thought the topics almost exclusively in the service of Rhetoric, the other conceived by Boethius (ca. 480-524 AC) who intended to restore the centrality that the Topics had in the Aristotelian Logic, by subordinating the rethorical Topics to dialectical Topics. My conclusion is that the Early Middle Ages can be considered, from an epistemological point of view, as a long boetiana aetas. Sin embargo, constituye un testimonio privilegiado de la función propedéutica que la matemática cusana tiene en relación con los escritos especulativos, sobre todo, los teológicos. Nicolás parte allí, en efecto, de los métodos de solución de la cuadratura del círculo expuestos en De mathematicis complementis y se dirige a una propuesta que adelanta los desarrollos de De visione Dei.
