But much more challenging is to teach students how to program. According to this fact, programming courses may become boring. But if we try to motivate students enough (and games provide an excellent motivation), teaching and learning programming can provide an entertaining experience. This work is focused on advices for programming teaching that have played out in global results of programming courses in a university of Central Europe. The results include game-based learning in combination with learning by game creation, supported by case-study approach.","PeriodicalId":340996,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th IEEE International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133078824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Industry is often directly dependent on raw materials, its structure is formed just by available mineral wealth of a particular country. However, there are raw materials available in every country and from economic reasons their import is not economical. These are deposits of building stone that is used mainly in construction. However, mining of this raw material has very significant influence on the environment. These effects need to be addressed not only in the time and place of their origin, but it is necessary to prepare professionals for solving problems in this area. For this reason, the article provides the methodology of implementation the issues of spreading the solid particles in the external environment into the teaching process. At the same time, engineering with multidisciplinary products demanded PLM. PLM brought experience and expertise based knowledge driven product representation. It integrated huge amount information about product objects, processes, activities, analyses, methodologies, equipment, devices, and communications in active knowledge driven complex model. This model supposed advanced computer system. Currently, inherent characteristics of PLM modeling give new chance for higher education to turn towards case study and project based course programs while save theoretical content. In this paper, analysis and explanation of the new world of virtual engineering is introduced and discussed in order to conceptualize a future vision of higher education in engineering. Main contribution of this paper is practice oriented concept and model of course where theory and practice is harmonized in integrated teaching content using advanced PLM environment. Affect of PLM on curriculum is other main issue in this contribution.","PeriodicalId":340996,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th IEEE International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122486282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
