The proposed filter can easily be switched between high pass and low pass responses. The filter uses a structure which can be easily switched. The high pass filter uses an interdigital structure and the low pass filter uses the hairpins that are mounted on the interdigital structure. The filter is reconfigurable and small in size. All other sources of energy are derivative of it. Lately photovoltaic cells both organic and inorganic have gained a greater commercial ground than ever. Initiatives such as International Solar Alliance have given a boost to solar energy harnessing. Therefore, lots of efforts have been put in making photovoltaic devices more efficient. But harnessing of solar energy primarily depends on availability of quality and quantity of insolation or solar radiation received by an area on ground. several factors such as altitude, terrain, air quality, cloud cover, vegetation of the region etc. collectively determine the net solar radiation received by a particular area which can harnessed by solar cells or solar panels to produce electricity. The large effects can be observed in the fundamental time response characteristics i.e. transient and steady state characteristics of the system. Hence, the need of robust controller arises, application of which makes system ineffective to the invasion of uncertainties in the process territory. In this paper a first order system with delay is considered and SOPDT and TOPDT models are derived from FOPDT process model using Skogestad's half rule. PID controller is designed for all the three process models using numerous tuning methods and system set point tracking is analyzed. Rain degrades signals at microwave and millimeter wave frequencies. The attenuation value at these frequencies depends upon the extinction cross-section of the rain drops. In the present work variation in extinction cross-section with temperature has been estimated which will be helpful in studying the temporal and spatial distribution of rain attenuation in future work. In view of this demand, design of substrate integrated waveguide filters has been presented here in conjunction with metamaterial technology to increase the performance. A lot of researches have shown underlying neural dynamics during SOT as an effect of spatial transformation strategy, but the consistent findings related to flow of information between designated brain areas are not present. The purpose of the study is to identify flux of information between pairs of channel to identify active hubs during the course of task. The directed transfer function (DTF) method is used to detect alterations in the functional coupling of EEG rhythms (0.5–30 Hz) in different brain cortical areas during virtual reality based perspective taking test. Results confirmed that there were common regions for motor imagery and SOT. It has also shed light on the active role of parietal and occipital lobe in SOT. Fossil fuels, which are the prime elements of electrical energy generation, are on the verge of being exhausted. Also, these fuels are the source of severe environmental pollution. Therefore, it is utmost necessary to harness energy from non-conventional sources or call them the clean energy resources. Recently, there have been great advancements in the organic semiconductor technology that includes organic solar cells /organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs) as an alternative to the conventional energy sources. Due to their low-cost fabrication, simple working principle, synthetic variability, and a capability to incorporate advanced materials, the OPVs have gained a huge attention of the researchers. This paper represents various recent advancements/improvements in organic solar cells based on structures, materials and performance affecting factors. In cognitive radio, spectrum sensing helps an unlicensed user for detecting unused bands and to utilize these bands for unlicensed communication. In this paper, the presentation of the different spectrum sensing schemes i.e. classical energy detection, improved energy detection and statistical covariance are compared. Statistical covariance method is L times more complex than that of energy detection. PTL design used in this paper is significant as gate terminal is only denoting input terminal rather than controlling terminal as in previously reported PTL designs. This technique essentially decreases the number of nodes in the circuit as well as its overall size too. Further, a comparison between the performances of both the configurations in terms of number of transistors utilized in the designing of circuit and chip area has also been done with help of 1∶2 de-multiplexers (de-mux). In order to demonstrate the novel features offered by the modified source FD-SOI MOSFET n-MOSFET, the two dimensional surface potential model has also been investigated on various aspects such as effect of silicon film thickness variation and effects of different levels of source doping.
