This paper analyzed job information acquisition ability through normal channels of new generation migrant workers from different types of the cities from both supply and demand aspects, used Demand-Identified Bivariate Probit Model to analyze factors that effect their information acquisition ability through the normal channels. The results show that: 1 the weak ability of information acquisition of new generation migrant workers not only relates to the information supply but also the demand of it; 2 frequent change of cities and jobs make their job information demand decrease; the ones with low technical level have strong information demand, while the supply is poor. Therefore, reducing their changes of cities during mobility, improving their occupational technology level and developing and satisfying their job information demand from normal channel is the fundamental way to improve their information acquisition ability and guarantee their employment.","PeriodicalId":339946,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Management Science and Engineering 20th Annual Conference Proceedings","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128867037","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper analyzes the connotation of project organization on the basic of systematic thinking, demonstrates that project organization system is a typical self-organization system from the aspects of open, instability, nonlinearity and fluctuation, and then describes the process of self-organizing evolution. Through the analysis of Haken model, this paper finds out that evolution of project organization system mainly depends on the state of control parameters and order parameters. So as to the evolution of project organization system should take reasonable guidance on the basis of self-organizing theory in order to promote self-improvement fleetly and achieve win-win between participating organizations in the system.","PeriodicalId":339946,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Management Science and Engineering 20th Annual Conference Proceedings","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122562566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A variety of violations caused by airline employees' negative or discontent mood may also lead to aviation safety accidents. On the basis of the literature review, the paper starts from pay satisfaction and divides it into five parts: pay system, pay structure, pay sense of fairness, intrinsic motivation and welfare policy. According to the gray theoretical model, the paper analyzes the relevance between pay satisfaction and violations. It draws the conclusions that pay system, pay sense of fairness intrinsic motivation and violations are negatively related; pay structure, welfare policy and violations are positive related. Based on the conclusion, corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":339946,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Management Science and Engineering 20th Annual Conference Proceedings","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127898565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, Menzly and Ozbas (2010) study momentum on cross-industry level. The paper tests momentum and contrarian strategies of related industries in the bull and bear markets based on data of Chinese stock market. First, we construct returns of supplier and customer of industries by using the Input-Output accounts and the Chinese stock data from 2000 to 2009. Second, the paper defines the bull and bear markets in two ways. Finally, we test momentum and contrarian effects of related industries in the bull and bear markets with different market definition. We find that momentum and contrarian effects are consistent in different market states. The portfolio sorted by customer industries mainly exhibits momentum effects and the portfolio sorted by supplier industries exhibits contrarian effects.","PeriodicalId":339946,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Management Science and Engineering 20th Annual Conference Proceedings","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127955558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the self-determination theory, we developed and tested a theory of how human resource practices affect employee psychological empowerment and resultant employee energy in the work in this study. A survey of 227 employees from different companies showed that the human resource practices were positively related to the employee psychological empowerment including the feeling of meaning, impact, autonomy and competence. In turn, employee psychological empowerment played partial mediating role between human resource practices and employee energy in the work. Taken the 80's and 90's generation employees into account, results of the analysis indicated that employee energy in the organizations are influenced by the individual psychological condition significantly. The meaning, impact, autonomy and competence employees perceived in the work are related to the higher level of energy in the work.","PeriodicalId":339946,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Management Science and Engineering 20th Annual Conference Proceedings","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130699973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to achieve these objectives, we have established a non-competitive I/O predictive model, by adjusting the existing financial spending program, we also analyzed the impact of implementing a new program on China's total economic output and economic structure. The results show, under the current situation, when adjusting the new fiscal spending program, the government should adopt a different investment strategy, reducing the level of investment on infrastructure, expanding investment on health and education, and rationalizing people's expectation during the course of implementing the new investment program, therefore achieving the parallel development by stabilizing economic growth and optimizing the economic structure.","PeriodicalId":339946,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Management Science and Engineering 20th Annual Conference Proceedings","volume":"22 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132334997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To expand the scope of private funding for public works and service investment plans, the Taiwanese government proposed the introduction of private finance initiative (PFI) models in 2012. Consequently, Taiwan will encounter issues concerning the selection of traditional government self-financed, BOT, and PFI models for future public works investments. In response to the future introduction of policies related to PFI models in Taiwan, this study developed setting standards for discount rates, a key parameter required for assessing the suitability of PFI models. The theoretical framework is based on the Capital Asset Pricing Model. The parameter data used in trial calculations were collected from the historical case data recorded in the Public Construction Bid Management Information System of the Public Construction Commission, Executive Yuan, and employed in further analyses and imputations. The results indicate that of the six primary categories of public works examined in this study, railway works exhibit the highest risk, with an estimated systemic risk coefficient β of 0.9 and a recommended discount rate of 8.9%. Conversely, mass rapid transit system works exhibit the lowest risk, with an estimated systemic risk coefficient β of 0.3 and a recommended discount rate of 5.3%.","PeriodicalId":339946,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Management Science and Engineering 20th Annual Conference Proceedings","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128084785","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We established the M/M/C +M queueing models where servers operate in a Markov environment and customers are allowed to abandon service (+M). Randomly occurring server breakdown induces service rates change with time. We obtain a matrix differential equation about the generation function in different server states in steady state and present how to get the expected number of customers in the system. Through some special cases we verified the correctness of this model. So this can be as a supplement of previous work.","PeriodicalId":339946,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Management Science and Engineering 20th Annual Conference Proceedings","volume":"373 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131857228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
