Research objects, the space of the prose discourse of the Bukovyna writer. The subject of consideration of anthroponyms that represent national nouns in literary texts is their connotative and non-fulfilling functions. The purpose of the investigation is to demonstrate the connotative potential, the stylistic role and functional features nationally marked nominations, to illustrate their contrasting opposition in the general context of the writer’s work, to analyze the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of individual anthroponyms, to determine their functions, stylistic and expressive-potential. The descriptive4 and statistical method, as well as the method of stylistic analysis of artistic works, were used in the research process. The originality of nationally marked nominations is highlighted; their role in the development of the plot, the creation of the characters’ characters in the disclosure of the author’s idea is demonstrated. It was been proven that the proper names of the characters of representatives of different peoples are a bridge, an icon, a theme, a bright stylistic detail, a means of creating bright characteristics and building a plot. It was found that foreign proper names constitute a significant group of names in the artistic work of Olga Kobylyanska, they are an indicator of national and local flavor, contain social, ideological and other parameters and in many emphasize the extraordinary nature of the character. It is determined that the national index in the transparent disk of all craftsmen is an important color of the author’s palette. Olga Kobylyanska uses this technique to create broad national pictures using a certain set of nationally marked nominations and for individual inclusions in a specific text with the aim of accentuating this indicator or for contrasting demarcation of characters.","PeriodicalId":33930,"journal":{"name":"Zapiski z ukrayins''kogo movoznavstva","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135460419","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relevance of this topic is due to the situation, as a result of which more than 10,000 school-age children ended up in Austria and were forced to integrate into the Austrian school system, learn a new foreign language for the majority, and adapt to a new team and teachers. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential of primary schoolchildren with Ukrainian as a native language based on the RUTELA working tool to determine the ability to produce written texts in German. To achieve this goal, a number of tasks were completed: samples of written texts were collected in the classes of an elementary school in the city of Vienna in Ukrainian and German, analysis and interpretation of the data were carried out. The object of the study is the early ability to write in German in elementary school children whose native language is Ukrainian. Identifying the potential of schoolchildren and using it to learn the German language is the subject of the research. Samples of written texts in Ukrainian and German are the material of this study. Elicitation was used as a method, implying actions that encourage the subjects to a productive type of speech activity. The presented study focuses on understanding the development of oral and written literacy in a multilingual environment according to the approach developed by Hans Reich, and also relies on the ELA (Early Literacy Acquisition) working tool, which determines the ability to produce written texts at an early age in Turkish and German. As a result of the analysis of the obtained data, it was possible to establish discrepancies between the realized and actual written competence, as well as to determine the child’s potential for the production of written texts at an early age. The obtained results and their interpretation make it possible to draw up a child’s language profile that describes his abilities, as well as to develop didactic and methodological approaches to support learning both German and his native language.","PeriodicalId":33930,"journal":{"name":"Zapiski z ukrayins''kogo movoznavstva","volume":"58 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135460562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In ritual discourse, this woman reflects the norms of ethnic linguistic culture. The purpose of our research was to analyze the linguistic personality of the collective type of midwife on ethnographic materials and materials of folk songs that accompanied the rituals in the rite of childbirth. The object was the linguistic and cultural personality of the generalized type of Ukrainian woman, who took an active part in antenatal and post partum rituals, as well as during childbirth performed all necessary work to save the lives of mothers and children. The subject was modeled on the verbal and nonverbal communicative levels of linguistic personality of the midwife, grandmother, as she was called by the people. In the process of work we used the following general and special linguistic methods: analysis and synthesis, descriptive method, as well as methods of induction and deduction; contextual-interpretive method and the method of modeling the language personality of the generalized type. The main attention was paid to the linguistic and spiritual state of this woman. In ritual discourse, the midwife reflects the norms of ethnic linguistic culture. The collective type of such a linguistic personality is represented by an elderly woman who can no longer have children. She is revered and respected not only in the village where she lives, but also far beyond. Her craft is passed down from generation to generation within the family. The midwife, who is often called the grandmother, is a connoisseur of sacred texts. The article analyzes the verbal and non-verbal means of communication through such texts with supernatural forces, including God and the Mother of God. Midwife has the secrets of folk medicine, she gives advice to the mother before childbirth, helps to correct the situation if there are complications during childbirth, and when the family already has children and parents do not want to give birth, prepares contraceptives for women. Grandmother is a good psychologist, she feels the woman’s condition during childbirth and calms her down with her words. The midwife’s dialogues or monologues have a suggestive effect on the midwife, who calls her mother, entrusting her life and the life of the child to the grandmother. The midwife is a modest and responsible woman. She can never refuse a request for help during childbirth: she gathers quickly and always has a set of ritual items that she carries with her. These are bread, holy water, candles, cloth, and so on. In turn, the new parents give the grandmother, who can, but always give bread and a towel. After that, the midwife becomes a member of the family, she prepares the first bath for the child, organizes a ritual of purification for herself and the mother, participates in baptisms and more. With the help of a number of general scientific (observation, comparison, generalization, quantitative calculations) and special (descriptive, functional) methods, the Ukrainian-language journalistic films of A. Galimov, A. Romanidi, and H. Kovalenko were investigated. The author of the article explained the essence and indicated the problematic status of the concept of “journalistic film text” in linguistic science. It is argued that journalistic film text is a subspecies of documentary film text, which presents a purely author’s/journalistic view of real events of the past and present. The journalistic film text differs from the documentary one in the presence of selfdirected conclusions and a wider temporal marking of the plot. It is noticed that stylistics of different language levels function in the tectonics of journalistic film texts. Stylistics of the phonetic level are accents. Stylistics of the lexical level are professional-industrial, official-business, scientific-terminological, emotional vocabulary, tropes, foreign lexemes, obsolete vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, colloquial words. Stylistics of the grammatical level are complex sentences, past tense forms of the verb, inflections. According to quantitative calculations, the stylistic level of the lexical level is the most recorded. It is proposed to determine the semiotic status of stylists according to the functional principle and to distinguish the following types of signs: subsign, suprasing, synsing. Subsigns are, first of all, stylistics of the grammatical level, which serve as a kind of “packaging” of the content, that is, its form. Suprasigns are lexical-level stylistics, because the word on television is the main source of information. Phonetic-level stylistics, which are used to detail the social portrait of those about whom the story is told, are synsings. The object of research is conflictogenic phraseology of Ukrainian and English languages, the subject is those phraseological units that describe verbal conflict, physical conflict, other types of conflict and the context of the conflict. For the analysis of the material, methods of continuous sampling (for selection from the relevant authoritative dictionaries of conflictogenic phraseology) and lexicosemantic fields (for selection and ideographic description of the main lexicosemantic fields of conflict on the material of Ukrainian and English phraseology) were used. As a result, the definition of conflictogenicity of the phraseological unit is given; the main lexico-semantic fields of conflictogenic Ukrainian- and English-language phraseology are singled out and described; conclusions are made about the peculiarities of the implementation of conflict in the material of Ukrainian/English phraseology. It can be stated that: 1) Ukrainian and English languages equally demonstrate strong potential for the creation, functioning and use of conflictogenic phraseological units, which confirms the symmetrical separation of Ukrainian and English-language phraseological lexico-semantic fields such as “Verbal Conflict”, “Physical Conflict”, “Hybrid Conflict”, “Conflict Context”); 2) despite certain common features and universal patterns in terms of phraseological representation of conflict semantics, we observe different, unique characteristic of only one of the analyzed different system languages. The object of the study is the story of the modern Ukrainian writer Roman Malinovsky “Two minutes before midnight”. It was published in the book “Sweet Life” in 2021, and it reflected the author’s consciousness of the danger to the life of mankind that the weapon carries. The purpose of the article is to reveal the meanings of the story’s title, to substantiate its representative, textforming role, to determine how the title helps to understand the author’s concept of reality, embodied in the work. To achieve the goal, the vocabulary (sun, wind, stars) included in the semantic field “space objects” was analyzed. The position is substantiated that the key role in the story is played by the image of the stars, this is the dominant component of the semantic field, closest to the core. The direct meaning of this word (what is seen in the night sky) and its metaphorical meanings are highlighted: a) space object; b) a cigarette light during a friendly meeting; c) the wreckages of burning satellites; d) flashes of nuclear missiles. The thesis is substantiated that the motif that appears at the beginning of the work is the expectation of an unusual cosmic phenomenon – fall of stares, with which the aesthetic (enjoyment of their beauty) is associated, as well as the hope that the wishes come true, is replaced at the end of the work by a statement of the launch of rockets that bring death people, including those who gathered to enjoy the view of the stars and hoped for a happy future. As a result, such semantic oppositions were indicated in the description of the picture of approaching to night (the key word in the title of the story) and in the semantic field “signs of the Space”: “day - night”, “present - future”, “life - death”, “beautiful – disgraceful, unhumane”, “space – chaos”. Attention is drawn to the fact that the vector in the description of what is happening is: from a variety of colors - to plunging the world into darkness, from light - to its dispersion. Hence the dominance of the semantics of extinction, approaching death. As a result, the interpretation of the night as a boundary between existence and its loss is proposed. The conclusion is made about the main meaning of the title of the whole work: two minutes before night - what happened two minutes before the death of mankind.","PeriodicalId":33930,"journal":{"name":"Zapiski z ukrayins''kogo movoznavstva","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46058571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the research is to present the concepts of the historical development of the Ukrainian language by leading scientists, the most important periodization of Slavic scientists, to specify and express the principles of periodization and periods of the history of the Ukrainian literary language. The object of the study is the hypotheses of the historical development of the Ukrainian language by leading scientists, and the chronological stages of the division of the history of the Ukrainian literary language. The subject is a change in the chronological boundaries of the new Ukrainian language and the expression of its subsites. S. Khkatkova and H.Onufrienko can be called the predecessors in the study of the periodization of the history of the Ukrainian literary language. Different concepts of the origin of the Ukrainian language are the basis of the periodization of the history of the Ukrainian literary language. In the research, we pay attention to two main concepts of the origin and development of the Ukrainian language. Also, the hypotheses of the historical development of the Ukrainian language are presented, and the most important periodization of Slavic scientists is substantiated in the work. The research indicates a change in the chronological boundaries of the new Ukrainian language and its Cossack and modern era. We believe the new Ukrainian language begins with maintaining documentation during Bohdan Khmelnitsky’s headship. The language of business documentation was based on the southeastern dialect and was close to the ordinary spoken language. Universals are unsurpassed examples of the Ukrainian language: only 3% of vocabulary are church Slavonic words, 7% are Polish words, and 90% are Ukrainian words. The history of the Ukrainian literary language is ancient and interesting by its historical origins, and ancient roots in the old Slavic language. But as an objective system, the Ukrainian language began to form intensively in the IX century. The 5th stage classification based on the phonological changes of Yu. O. Karpenko, which begins with the Slavic language and ends with the new Ukrainian language (XIX-XX centuries) is deep and scientifically substantiated. The purpose of our research is to outline the suggestive-manipulative possibilities of ergonomic vocabulary in advertising discourse. To realize the goal, you need to perform a number of tasks: consider the concepts of ergonim, trademark, trademark, brand, advertising sign, outlining common and distinctive features; to single out influential actualizers of ergonomic vocabulary in advertising discourse. The object of research was the phenomenon of the influence of advertising discourse, and the subject was ergonomic vocabulary as a specific condensate of the suggestive and manipulative potentials of advertising discourse. To achieve the goal, the following methods were used: descriptive to highlight the peculiarities of the nature of ergonomic vocabulary, its functional characteristics; the method of analysis and synthesis for the identification of the components of ergonims/trademarks and their combination into a single complex; modeling method for highlighting influential actualizers of ergonomic vocabulary in advertising discourse; the method of induction served to specify the general conclusions. Attention is focused on a thorough consideration of the definitions of E/R/ TM, their common and distinctive features. The leading components of advertising discourses are E/R/TM, which concentrate the information of the entire advertising campaign. E have many features in common with verbal R/TM: nomination processes, semantic motivation, lack of direct connection with the concept, suggestibility, functioning in the sphere of production and trade and emergence due to economic necessity under the influence of extralingual factors ‒ these are features also present in E, and in R. The main distinguishing feature is that R designates serial products, and not a single object, like E, where the most popular ones turn into a brand, becoming advertising themselves. E/R/TM are active components of various suggestive technologies of advertising discourse.A classification of acting actualizers, which can provide suggestive-manipulative possibilities for ergonyms, trademarks and trademarks, is proposed: structural features; semantic specificity; functional characteristics; the potency of perception, including “anchoring”; perseverativeness. The subject of the research are the functional and stylistic opportunities of anthroponyms in fiction, and the linguophilosophical and linguopsychological dimension of proper names. The descriptive method and the method of contextual analysis are used toward the selected material – anthroponymical vocabulary of the Ukrainian fiction. The aim of this research is a functional, stylistic, and linguophilosophical analysis of the formal and informal anthroponymy in its relation to the issues raised by the authors in their prose. We raise a question how a name and the author’s attitude to the character (the holder of that name), a name and perceiving its holder by other characters, a name and self-awareness correlate. An emotional intimacy is emphasized as a factor that motivates people to use informal name variants. Some revealed variants symbolize the adulthood, infantilization, renunciation of the past or trying to preserve it. We uncover the reasons for naming of one character with many names and two characters – with the same name. It is shown how can they make ideological conflicts about the names, why a formal name is not required for the character, and what kind of role can the name variant play in the courtship ritual. Many linguists have addressed the problems of studying toponyms, but even today there are issues that need detailed consideration. Toponyms containing information much broader than linguistic, allow to fill gaps in ethnogenetic research. During the analysis of semantic features of toponyms it is possible to establish the tokens that became the push to creating geographical names. The choice in the nomination of a feature as the base for this reality is determined by the interests of the population, which in turn depend on various socio-economic, psychological and other factors. Oykonyms, the proper names of settlements, are historical and cultural heritage, as they cover historical events, life and culture of people, their customs and traditions. Our focus is on oykonyms, as settlements being material objects are most clearly separated from the surrounding landscape. The oykonyms of the Odesa region are singled out and systematized. The material for the study was the names of 1174 settlements, which includes 19 cities, 33 towns, 23 settlements and 1,099 villages united in 7 districts. The structural features of proper names of settlements of Odesa region are investigated. By structure, oykonyms were divided into simple, complex and compound. The largest group of oykonimikon in the Odesa region consists of simple settlement names formed morphologically. Regarding the word-forming and the structural design of oykonyms, taking into account the tendency to univerbate the names of settlements during their renaming, it is proved that simple oykonyms of morphological derivation are the most numerous group and form the basis of the oykonym system of Odesa region, having the most complex and compound names formed from them. It has been established that by semantic features most of the oykonyms of Odesa region are derived from anthroponyms, names of water bodies and other types of toponyms.
