Monocytes accumulate in myocardial tissue experiencing hypoxia and play a role in the formation of atherosclerotic plaque. On the other hand, High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) is known to reduce the accumulation of macrophages and prevent oxidized cholesterol from entering the artery walls. In the process of healing CHD, the number of monocytes decreases and HDL-cholesterol increases. This study aims to show the potential of the monocyte to HDL Cholesterol ratio as a marker for the prognosis of CHD patients. Method: This study used a case-control research design with a research sample of 50 CHD patients and 50 MCU patients at Bhayangkara Hospital, Jambi City. Result: From the results of the examination, the average monocyte cell count was 461.5 cells/μL, HDL-Cholesterol= 48.1 mg/dL and MHR value= 9.6. Meanwhile, in MCU patients, monocytes were 398 cells/μL, HDL-Cholesterol= 50.4 mg/dL and MHR value= 8.1. Conclusion: The MHR value of CHD patients was significantly higher than that of MCU patients. MHR appears to have good potential in the prognosis of CHD patients.","PeriodicalId":338971,"journal":{"name":"Proceeding International Conference Health Polytechnic of Jambi","volume":"48 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139198733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pesticides are essential material used to protect crops and agricultural products, livestock, and fish from damage caused by various pests. Objective: This research aims to determine the relationship between length of work, work period, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with blood cholinesterase levels in pesticide sprayers among farmers in Modoinding Subdistrict. Method: This study is of an analytical with a cross-sectional study design. The study population consists of pesticide sprayers among farmers in Modoinding Subdistrict. The research sample was determined using cluster random sampling, where samples were taken from three villages.. From each village, 20 pesticide sprayers were randomly selected, resulting in a total sample size of 60 individuals. Data analysis using logistic regretion to assess the relationships between variables. Results: The research findings indicate that the majority (87%) of pesticide sprayers are above 20 years of age, and all respondents have a work period of more than 3 (three) years. This suggests that pesticide sprayers have been in contact with pesticides for an extended period. The use of PPE is still not a priority for these workers. All respondents (100%) handle pesticide-containing substances (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides) without using PPE, especially gloves and masks. During spraying, 100% of the respondents wear long-sleeved clothing, long pants, and hats, with 16% using masks. This situation indicates a high risk of pesticide poisoning among these farmers. The results of the blood cholinesterase level relationship test with work period show significant values (p=0.012), as do the length of service (p=0.00) and the use of PPE (p=0.000). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between length of work, work period, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with blood cholinesterase levels among vegetable farmers in Modoinding Subdistrict, South Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi.","PeriodicalId":338971,"journal":{"name":"Proceeding International Conference Health Polytechnic of Jambi","volume":"120 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139201112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Aromatherapy candles are made using several ingredients and use essential oils that have an aromatherapy scent, a combination of red rose and white rose essential oils. These essential oils are used not only for the treatment and prevention of disease, but also for their effects on mood, emotions, and a sense of well-being. Method: In this experimental study, a comparative test was carried out between 5 concentration variations of red rose and white rose essential oils with F1 = 1%:5% ; F2= 2%:4% ; F3= 3%:3% ; F4= 4%:2% ; and F5= 5%:1%, using the same basis. Then an evaluation was carried out by testing the physical quality of the candle aromatherapy preparations which included organoleptic tests, melting point tests, burn time tests, and hedonic tests.   Result: The organoleptic test on formulas 1 and 5 produced an even color, no cracks and a characteristic odor, but in formulas 2,3 and 4 the color was uneven and there were depressions. In the melting point test, all formulas are within the standard candle time range, namely 540C, the average burn time test is not more than 2 hours and the preference test is on formula 5. Conclusion: The final result is a formula that meets all testing standards, namely 5%:1% formula 5, in which the ratio of essential oils of red roses and white roses is and the ratio of paraffin and stearic acid is 54%:40%.","PeriodicalId":338971,"journal":{"name":"Proceeding International Conference Health Polytechnic of Jambi","volume":"87 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139201249","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
