Walau peran Public Relations merupakan aspek penting dalam pertumbuhan perusahaan yang baru merintis (startup), penelitian holistik tentang bagaimana startup dapat memanfaatkan Public Relations masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas secara lebih rinci tentang bagaimana konsultan Public Relations Kennedy, Voice Berliner (KVB) dapat berperan dalam aktivitas media relations sebuah startup properti-teknologi bernama Cove. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan merujuk pada konsep ilmiah media relations yang meliputi pengelolaan relasi, pengembangan strategi, serta pengembangan jaringan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui hasil observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsultan Public Relations KVB berperan untuk melakukan follow-up rutin terhadap jurnalis dalam rangka mengelola relasi. Konsultan juga melakukan pengembangan strategi dengan menyusun pedoman komunikasi serta taktik berupa pemetaan media, siaran pers, konferensi pers, serta pemantauan media. Selain itu, konsultan juga turut memanfaatkan jaringan di organisasi usaha dan kehumasan internasional dalam menjalankan aktivitas media relations Cove. Media relations are essential for various companies to gain positive publicity through the mass media, especially for startups. Although the role of Public Relations is a crucial aspect amidst the growth of startups, holistic research on how startups can optimize the use of Public Relations remains limited. This study aims to discuss how Public Relations consultants from KVB (Kennedy, Voice Berliner) can manage the media relations activities of a property-technology startup called Cove. The research uses the qualitative method, referring to the three concepts of media relations; relationship management, strategy development, and network expansion. All data were obtained through observations, interviews, and document studies which were also descriptively analyzed. The study results indicate that the Public Relations consultants of KVB have a role in carrying out the routine follow-up of journalists to manage relations. The consultants also develop strategies by initiating communication guidelines and tactics. In early 2021, Eiger was hit by a crisis that many concluded was a failed PR activity. Eiger formed a crisis responsibility by providing feedback and creating a discount program for the audience. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the crisis responsibility affected the loyalty of Eiger customers with a post-crisis reputation as an intervening variable. This study uses an explanatory quantitative approach involving 265 samples selected using non-probability purposive sampling technique with criteria that sample must know this case and have used Eiger products. This study uses path analysis as a data measurement technique to prove whether there is a relationship between the variables in this study. Path analysis was carried out using the AMOS 26 tool. The results showed that a post-crisis reputation was a partial-mediation intervening variable. The direct effect in this study is more prominent than the indirect effect. PT Eigerindo Multi Produk merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi alat-alat outdoor, travel, dan riding. Pada awal 2021, Eiger sempat dilanda krisis dikarenakan pemberian surat keberatan kepada beberapa Youtuber yang memiliki kualitas video yang kurang baik. Hal ini banyak disimpulkan sebagai salah satu aktivitas PR yang gagal. Untuk menghadapi krisis ini, Eiger memuat beberapa tanggapan dan membuat program diskon kepada khalayaknya sebagai bentuk dari tanggung jawab krisis tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah tanggung jawab krisis tersebut berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas pelanggan Eiger dengan reputasi pasca-krisis sebagai variabel mediator. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatif yang melibatkan 265 sampel yang dipilih menggunakan Teknik non-probability sampling, purposive sampling dengan kriteria sampel yang harus mengetahui kasus krisis Eiger serta pernah menggunakan produk Eiger. Penelitian ini menggunakan path analysis sebagai teknik pengukuran data untuk membuktikan apakah ada hubungan antar variabel yang ada di dalam penelitian ini. Path analysis yang dilakukan menggunakan bantuan perangkat AMOS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa reputasi pasca-krisis sebagai variabel intervening yang bersifat partial-mediation. Tingkat adopsi aktivitas ini pun sangat tinggi di kalangan kaum milenial di Indonesia. Ini memunculkan pertanyaan mengapa khalayak semakin terbiasa menonton SVOD di ponsel cerdas meski memiliki keterbatasan audiovisual dibandingkan televisi, laptop atau komputer. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat apa kebutuhan-kebutuhan spesifik yang terpenuhi ketika khalayak mengonsumsi konten subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) melalui ponsel cerdas. Berlandaskan teori uses and gratifications, penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan strategi grounded theory. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan enam informan, ditemukan bahwa khalayak memiliki tipologi kebutuhan yakni informasi, mengisi waktu, pengalaman terkustomisasi dan media displacement. Muncul tipologi yang mengalami ekspansi yakni hiburan hedonistik/eudaimonik, pindah waktu/tempat, kenyamanan/relaksasi, dan pengalihan/pengalaman imersif. Sementara muncul tipologi yang belum ditemukan dalam penelitian sebelumnya, yaitu menonton maraton. Direkomendasikan untuk mengoperasionaliasikan tipologi-tipologi yang ditemukan secara kuantittif untuk penelitian selanjutnya. Smartphones are increasingly used to access videos, including subscription video-on-demand services. This is especially true among millennials, who are the primary adopters. This raises the question of why millennials watch SVOD through their smartphones when other wide-screened devices offer better audiovisual quality. This research aims to reveal the motivations satisfied by using uses and gratification theory through qualitative approach and grounded theory strategy. Based on in-depth interviews of six informants, we found classical UG typologies, namely Information and Passing Time, and typologies recurring in new media research, which are customized experienced and media displacement. The study also produced expanded typologies, including hedonistic/eudaimonic entertainment, time/place-shifting, comfort/relaxation, and diversion/immersive experience. Lastly, binge-watching was discovered to be an emergent typology. As this research analyzes data from one informant, the results cannot be generalized. Agar program dapat diterima dan mendapatkan partisipasi oleh khalayak dibutuhkan sebuah strategi komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi komunikasi pemerintah Kota Pariaman dalam pelaksanaan program Satu Keluarga Satu Sarjana dengan menggunakan model perencanaan strategi komunikasi lingkaran. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi non-partisipasi dan wawancara mendalam dilakukan dengan empat orang informan yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi dalam pelaksanaan program dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi langsung berupa dialog dan wawancara yang dilakukan petugas di lapangan, dan berkomunikasi menggunakan media luar ruang, website pemerintah, portal online serta media sosial. Sementara hambatan yang timbul di masyarakat berupa kesenjangan informasi dan tanggapan negatif terhadap program serta kurangnya sumber daya manusia dalam menciptakan komunikasi efektif. The one-family one-degree program is a development program for the Pariaman city government to alleviate poverty by increasing the human resources of the people in the region. However, for the program to be accepted and get participation by the public, a communication strategy is needed. This study aims to describe the communication strategy of the Pariaman city government in the implementation of the one-family one-degree program using the circular communication model. This study used a qualitative method. Data were collected through non-participant observation and in-depth interviews with four informants selected by the purposive sampling method. The results showed that the implementation of the program was carried out in direct socialization in the form of dialogues and interviews conducted by officers in the field and communicating using outdoor media, government websites, online portals, and social media. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat literasi digital pelajar di Kota Yogyakarta dengan menggunakan sepuluh indikator yang dirumuskan oleh Japelidi, yakni akses, seleksi, pemahaman, distribusi, produksi, analisis, verifikasi, evaluasi, partisipasi, dan kolaborasi. Remaja dipilih sebagai responden penelitian karena merupakan rentang usia yang paling aktif dalam menggunakan media sosial. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebar kuesioner kepada siswa sekolah di wilayah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dengan rentang usia 13-19 tahun sejumlah 60 responden secara luring. Pemilihan responden menggunakan kuota sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola penggunaan media digital pelajar di Yogyakarta memiliki kecenderungan berada pada rentang tinggi untuk konsumsi, cukup untuk produksi dan distribusi, namun rendah untuk partisipasi dan kolaborasi. Students at aged between 13 to 19 are the second biggest group using social media. The purpose of this study was to see the digital literacy level of students in Yogyakarta City using ten indicators formulated by Japelidi, namely access, selection, understanding, distribution, production, analysis, verification, evaluation, participation, and collaboration. Students were chosen as research respondents because they are the most active in using social media, especially in Yogyakarta. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires offline to school students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta with an age range of 13-19 years, with 60 respondents. The selection of respondents using quota sampling. The results showed that students' use of digital media in Yogyakarta tends to be high for consumption, sufficient for production and distribution, but low for participation and collaboration. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pergeseran makna yang terjadi dalam proses ta’aruf yang dijalani oleh pria dan wanita yang sudah menikah serta individu yang sedang menjalani ta’aruf. Penelitian kualitatif ini fokus untuk menggali tahapan hubungan komunikasi interpersonal dalam proses ta’aruf melalui analisis data Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Informan penelitian ini terdiri dari tujuh orang, yaitu tiga pasangan yang sudah menikah melalui proses ta’aruf dan satu orang yang sedang menjalani proses ta’aruf di Kota Padang. Informan dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa tahapan dalam proses ta'aruf klasik, antara lain perkenalan, konfirmasi, penjajakan, pertemuan keluarga dan menetapkan hari pernikahan. Tahapan ta'aruf klasik ini bertransformasi dikarenakan konsekuensi teknologi komunikasi. Ta’aruf sudah bisa dilakukan melalui teman, orang tua, saudara maupun media sosial. Ta'aruf online membuat terjadinya pergeseran makna ta'aruf, di mana kesakralan sebuah proses ta’aruf sudah diartikan berbeda walaupun esensinya sama. Saat ini, keseriusan individu dalam menjalani ta’aruf tidak murni karena Allah, melainkan menjadi lifestyle dan sudah menjadi konsumsi publik bahkan kamuflase. The presence of the internet provides an alternative for each individual to find a life partner (mate) without having to meet face to face. This study aims to analyze the shifting of meaning in the ta'aruf process carried out by married couples and individuals undergoing ta'aruf. This qualitative research focused on exploring the stages of interpersonal communication in ta'aruf using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. The informants of this study consisted of seven people, of which three couples were married through the ta'aruf process and one person who was undergoing the ta'aruf process in Padang. Informants were selected by the purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicated that the stages in the classical ta'aruf process includes an introduction, confirmation, exploration, family gatherings, and setting a wedding day. This classical ta'aruf stage transforms due to the impact of communication technology. Ta'aruf can be done through friends, parents, siblings, and social media. Online ta'aruf makes a shift in the meaning of ta'aruf, where the sacredness of a ta'aruf process has been interpreted differently, although the essence stays the same. Halo Ibu sebagai komunitas berbasis media daring hadir sebagai tempat bagi ibu saling berbagi dan mendukung. Dalam menjaga eksistensinya, komunitas membutuhkan hubungan baik dengan stakeholder. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan mengetahui impression management yang dilakukan komunitas dalam membangun hubungan dengan stakeholder. Konsep utama yang digunakan adalah impression management, stakeholder relations theory, dan komunitas. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui in-depth interview dengan pendiri dan anggota komunitas. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa panggung depan terjadi di Instagram, website, Youtube dan Grup WhatsApp, sementara panggung belakang terjadi saat rapat komunitas. Stakeholder komunitas terbagi menjadi stakeholder utama (ibu) dan stakeholder pendukung (brand, komunitas lain serta selebriti). Strategi impression management dilakukan berbeda untuk kedua stakeholder. Kepada stakeholder utama diterapkan strategi ingratiation, exemplification serta self-supplication. Kemudian strategi self promotion dan exemplification dilakukan pada stakeholder pendukung. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa ibu menjadi stakeholder yang paling diprioritaskan dalam upaya impression management. Keberadaan anggota komunitas yang aktif dan suportif menjadi kunci untuk menarik stakeholder pendukung agar bekerja sama. Given modern mothers’s challenges, the existence of community is warmly welcomed. Halo Ibu as online media-based community is there to be place for mothers to share and support each other. In order to exist and thrive community requires good support from stakeholders. Thus, the purpose of this qualitative descriptive research is to acquire the impression management of daring community to build relations with stakeholders. The main concepts used are impression management, stakeholder relations theory and community. Data gathering method used is observasion and in-depth interview with the pendiri and member of community. The results show that front stage of community are community’s onlie media: Instagram, Website, YouTube and WhatsApp Group, while back stage is community’s meeting session. Two stakeholders for community are as follows: main stakeholder (mothers) and supportive stakeholder (brands/sponsors, other community and public figure). Halo Ibu uses different strategy to build and maintain relation with respective stakeholders. With mothers: ingratiation, exemplification and self-supplication. Meanwhile, with supportive stakeholders: self-promotion and exemplification. This research concludes that mothers being the most prioritized stakeholder on impression management because the existence of active and supportive community members is the key to attract supportive stakeholders to work together. Tren pencarian informasi ini hendaknya disertai dengan kemampuan literasi digital yang baik untuk menjamin ketepatan dalam memilah informasi yang beredar. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat literasi digital ibu milenial dalam mengakses informasi terkait kesehatan anak dan keluarga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah digital etnografi dengan paradigma post-positivisme. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap tujuh ibu milenial yang berdomisili di beberapa kota besar di Indonesia, seperti Jakarta, Surabaya, dan Banjarmasin. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa secara keseluruhan, kecakapan literasi digital mayoritas ibu milenial berada di tingkat sedang. Tingkat ini dipengaruhi oleh minat terhadap isu kesehatan tertentu serta pengalaman dari masing-masing ibu. Tingkat kecakapan literasi digital seorang ibu dapat mempengaruhi perilaku mereka sehari-hari. Lebih lanjut, temuan elemen penyebaran informasi dalam praktik literasi digital para ibu menambah kekayaan konsep dari literasi itu sendiri. The rapid development of digital technology made it easier for milenial generation mothers to get information online about child and family’s health. This information-seeking trend should be accompanied by excellent digital literacy skills to ensure accuracy in sorting out information. This study tried to describe the digital literacy competency of milenial mothers in accessing information related to child and family’s health. The research method used is digital ethnography with a post-positivist paradigm. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with seven milenial mothers living in several major cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Surabaya, and Banjarmasin. The results of this study showed that the digital literacy skills of milenial mothers were at a moderate level. Regulasi tersebut tertuang dalam Undang-Undang Penyiaran Nomor 32 Tahun 2002 Pasal 36 ayat 2 yang mewajibkan setiap stasiun televisi untuk menayangkan sekurang-kurangnya 60% tayangan produksi domestik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis permasalahan tayangan asing di televisi Indonesia dalam perspektif kritis industri budaya. Metode yang dilakukan adalah metode kualitatif studi kasus. Pengambilan data dari berbagai studi dokumen dan wawancara. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan teknik pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stasiun televisi swasta melanggar ketentuan mengenai muatan tayangan asing. Ada dua masalah utama tayangan asing di televisi Indonesia. Masalah pertama adalah lemahnya peran negara terhadap penyiaran di Indonesia. Kedua adalah masalah ekonomi media khususnya terkait dengan pekerja media. Indonesia issued the law regarding the limitation of foreign television programs in 2002. In Article 36, paragraph 2 of Law No. 32/2002 stated that every television station is obligated to broadcast domestic programs at least 60 percent of the total content. This research aimed to analyze foreign programs in Indonesia through a critical thinking perspective. This research adopted a study case, qualitative approach. Data collection was done through interviews, documents study. The collected data were analyzed by data collection, reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that The results showed that private television stations violated the provisions regarding the proportion of foreign programs. There were two main problems that emerge from foreign programs in private TV stations. The first problem was the weak role of the state in broadcasting in Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi komunikasi pemasaran Boogie.id menggunakan IMC model Dwi Sapta yang membahas tentang discovery circle, intent circle, dan strategy circle. Jenis penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dengan lima orang marketing Boogie. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian pada discovery circle menunjukkan bahwa Boogie sudah melakukan market review, competitor review, dan consumer review. Pada intent circle, problem dari Boogie yaitu kurangnya brand awareness terutama dari kalangan milenial serta minimnya budget yang dimiliki sehingga pengembangan produk dan inovasi produk menjadi terhambat. Pada strategy circle, Boogie memiliki brand soul sebagai pelopor produk outdoor di Indonesia, serta memiliki produk yang berbeda dengan kompetitornya yaitu produk perahu karet dan produk water activities.Boogie was once a top brand for outdoor products, but now slowly starting to fade. This study aims to describe the marketing communication strategy of Boogie using the Dwi Sapta IMC model, including discovery circles, intent circles, and strategy circles. The research used a descriptive qualitative study. Data collection in this study was carried out through semistructured interviews with four marketing staff of Boogie. The data were analysed using the technique proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results of research in discovery circles showed that Boogie conducted market, competitor, and consumer reviews. For the intent circle, the problem from Boogie was the lack of brand awareness among young target consumers and lack of budget resulting in the hampered product development and product innovation.
