It shows teachers and students about the use of fiction to examine different areas of the law. The subject is approached from two perspectives. First, it explores how authors of fiction craft their own law. For this, examples provided by folklore, science fiction and plays are evoked, recalling that the law is an important element in the plot structures and that it is worth studying it. Second, the paper is about how jurists create their own fictional scenarios. To this end, the Socratic method, problem-based learning and the production of plays are addressed, all of them as vehicles for teaching law. With this, it is evident that law and fiction are not antagonistic or incompatible. Both can coexist, either to offer arguments to a fictional author or to operate as a didactic and pedagogical method in the hands of a jurist.","PeriodicalId":336488,"journal":{"name":"ANAMORPHOSIS - Revista Internacional de Direito e Literatura","volume":"285 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122472926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the analysis of the relationship between glory and sovereign power (Agamben), we conclude that the painting builds an intelligent visual chiasm about the glory of power, but at the same time subverts that chiasm through the eyes of the characters, which do not acclaim the body of the emperor, neither the Constitution, nor the people, but other complex references of meaning.","PeriodicalId":336488,"journal":{"name":"ANAMORPHOSIS - Revista Internacional de Direito e Literatura","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132165233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

R. R. Tolkien’s opus have been the object of intense debate through the last years, especially when it comes to the supposedly secondary space feminine figures hold in the Legendarium. In light of those discussions, this article aims to reassess the portrayal of Arwen Undómiel and Éowyn of Rohan during the War of the Ring, discussing whether their actions convey possibilities of theorizing feminine agency at war by refusing traditional gender roles. As specific objectives, I intend to: a) collect Tolkien’s perspectives on these two women throughout the Legendarium; and b) identify real-life feminine personalities who participated in war and civil rights conflicts during the twentieth century. In terms of methodology, I rely upon an exploratory literature review on the subject and apply documental analysis to revisit the Legendarium. The results suggest that, even though feminine figures (especially Arwen) might be said to occupy supporting and somewhat idealized roles in Tolkien’s works, their acts of refusal effectively contest gender paradigms, problematize traditional meanings of a woman’s place in the context of war and provide useful insights for the destabilization of the sexual dispositive in literature, in law and in society as a whole.","PeriodicalId":336488,"journal":{"name":"ANAMORPHOSIS - Revista Internacional de Direito e Literatura","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129715582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is done in two parts. The first part focuses on the literary study of Indigenous and French Canadian folklore. It is argued that oral folk stories are legitimate and relevant object of law in literature study as they constitute dense and potent source of legal principles, concepts and notions. The second part directly engages an archetype of Indigenous and French Canadian folktales. It looks to find legal principles, concepts and notions through the supernatural characters of windigo and werewolf.","PeriodicalId":336488,"journal":{"name":"ANAMORPHOSIS - Revista Internacional de Direito e Literatura","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129567114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Portanto, com a ajuda do mundo espiritual de Coleridge e de suas narrativas meta-ficcionais, esta pesquisa visa a penetrar no núcleo dos crimes contra o meio ambiente. Atualmente, uma crescente complexidade jurídica aprisiona o meio ambiente em uma rede normativa densa que pode estar impedindo a completa compreensão das perdas globais experimentadas em casos de ecovitimação e dos abusos que estão em jogo nessas situações.
