{"title":"Etude Genre in the Works of Contemporary Pianists-Composers: Traditions and Innovation","authors":"N. N. Sycheva","doi":"10.25136/2409-8744.2024.1.43411","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.25136/2409-8744.2024.1.43411","url":null,"abstract":"\u0000 The article is devoted to the study of the etude genre, which in the work of domestic composers-pianists of the second half of the twentieth – early twenty-first centuries became an experiment and capture of a personal artistic picture of the world. The focus of the article is two opuses by contemporary pianist composers М. Kollontai and E. Chernov. As a result of the cycle of analysis of etudes op. 55 Kollontai, the author comes to the conclusion that this work continues the line of Liszt’s transcendentalism. Particular attention in this cycle is aimed at considering religious and spiritual themes expressed at the verbal level. The composer’s artistic comments on the etudes, the epigraph from the poems of the poet and Catholic priest Geselle, the afterword to the plays, explain and explore the conceptual field of the program composition, which embodied New Testament stories related to the way of the cross of Jesus Christ on earth. For the piano cycle – Nine etudes-pictures op. 11 by Chernov, nine etudes-pictures op. 39 Rachmaninoff. In the course of the analysis, it is noted that the cycle of etudes by Chernov is characterized by the following features: a concentric type of composition with an aspiration to the finale, the presence of a lyrical core, the development and interweaving of two psychological modes (lyrical and dramatic), which gives the cycle integrity and harmony, paired grouping of etudes according to the principle of contrast, the presence of leitmotifs, as well as leitgenres (nocturne and waltz) that permeate the piano cycle. Balmont. The cultural significance of K.D. Balmont's work is undoubtedly for the ideas of the Silver Age. The purpose of the study is to analyze the work of K.D. Balmont and identify oriental images and motifs such as: the Enlightened Buddha, the desert, the Sphinx, the Koran, Allah, the Merciful. The object and material of the study were the poetic texts of K. Balmont: \"Boro-Budur\" from the collection \"Burning Buildings\", \"Sphinx\" from the collection \"Silence\", \"Merciful\" from the collection \"Pearl Rug\". The scientific novelty of our research lies in the consideration of motives and images as an important component of the figurative picture of the world and the poetic worldview of K.D. Balmont. The culturological aspect of oriental themes in the poet's work has been identified and substantiated. Such oriental ideas and motifs were formed, new images in his work as: the enlightened Buddha, Nirvana, pyramids, desert, Sphinx, motifs of the Koran, Allah, the Merciful, etc. In 1909-1912, K.D. Balmont traveled around the world. Egypt, Indonesia, and India completely conquered the poet. Balmont studied a huge number of scientific works on religion, philosophy and mythology of the East. K.D. Balmont wrote many letters, poems, travelogues, essays on the culture of the East. The poet's translation activity occupies a special niche in his work. He translated Ashwagosh's \"The Life of the Buddha\" from Sanskrit, Kalidasa's drama \"Sakuntala\", \"Malyavika and Agnimitra\" and \"Urvashi Obtained by Courage\", and he translated \"The Koran\" from Arabic. {"title":"Speech and sexual dimorphism: the history of the issue in the light of modern theories of the origin of speech and experimental data","authors":"Olga Vladimirovna Semenova, Yuliya Igorevna Adam","doi":"10.25136/2409-8744.2023.6.68961","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.25136/2409-8744.2023.6.68961","url":null,"abstract":"In this theoretical article, the authors turn to the analysis of studies explaining the origin and revealing the functions and meaning of human oral speech within the framework of an evolutionary approach. First of all, the authors are interested in the influence of sexual selection on the development of verbal skills in different age and gender groups. In this regard, the data of the history of the human life cycle are of particular interest, which indicate that the mastery of language as a tool for influencing and manipulating the opinions of others approaches an advanced level of proficiency only at the time of puberty, and speech, thus, begins to play an important role in intersex competition. Rapidly developing with the onset of puberty, the ability to performative vivid performances, to defend their position, as well as to conduct debates in public, apparently, can be guided by the forces of sexual selection, and therefore, they should manifest themselves more clearly in men than in women. It is assumed that verbal mastery can serve as a means of actively attracting attention for the purpose of self-promotion and improving the social status of the speaker. The methodological basis of our work was largely the analysis of ethnographic sources. In the article, the authors cite extensive ethnographic material confirming the connection of high social status with oratorical abilities. The authors also turn to the latest research that analyzes the differences in performative speech between men and women. Experimental work shows that in a conversation with an attractive woman, men tend to be more creative in choosing words and expressions. Some researches consider the connection of various aspects of speech with the attractiveness of the speaker, his masculinity and adaptability. Of great interest are studies studying the relationship between musical abilities and attractiveness, as well as works analyzing the articulatory features of oral speech and their connection with belonging to a certain social environment or social class. All the features of speech given in the review could most likely have been formed by the pressure of the forces of sexual selection. Based on this approach, the study of naive fine art is given over to art criticism, and the study of naive literature remains within the framework of philology and linguistics. Culturology explores culture as the historical and social experience of people, which can manifest itself in their work and is interpreted in the \"cultural texts\" of art. This article actualizes the need to move from narrowly focused research to a comprehensive approach: contextual study of visual and verbal works of naive artists. The objects of this study are paintings and poems by the naive artist Nadezhda Spirina (Ivanovo region, the city of Yuzha). The subject of the research is the aesthetics and poetics of the intertextuality of the works of a naive artist. The aim of the work is to analyze the stylistics and composition of paintings in combination with the poetic texts of the author. Tasks – search for intertextual references and reminiscences in the works of N. Spirina, the disclosure in her works of various practices of the author's self-reflection, testing the hypothesis of expanding the status of the work of a naive artist as a cultural text, taking into account the semantic features of verbal utterance for the perception and reading of the visual text, that is, the intertextuality of works of naive art. Synchronistic, comparative, biographical, psychological, semiotic, cultural and historical analysis are used. This process began at the end of the twentieth century throughout the entire territory of the Russian Federation. It should be noted that in addition to the beginning of the formation of a new all-Russian historical memory, local manifestations of memory associated with local peoples and their culture are being formed. In this article, we will try to consider this process of changing historical memory, precisely using the methods of concentration of memory sites, with one of the clearest examples of commemoration – the Yakut khomus, which can be considered one of the national symbols of Yakutia. The main method in this work is the methods of historical memory research, namely the methods of studying places of memory. In this work, for the first time, an attempt is made to explain through the concept of places of memory of Pierre Nora, which place in the historical memory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is occupied by the khomus, which is one of the main musical instruments of the Sakha people. The Yakuts do not have such extensive musical instruments, compared with the peoples of Altai and Central Asia, the Yakuts are rich in oral folk and song creativity, which makes the khomus one of the main musical instruments of the people. The khomus, being a harp instrument, one of the oldest types of musical instruments, has passed through the centuries and has practically not changed its appearance, only technologies and production methods will be changed. The topic of the research is the contribution of the artistic associations to the cultural life of the city. Their activities are aimed at introducing European painting techniques and modernist trends into the visual culture of the country. The article attaches particular importance to the unique character of the city, tolerant and open to experiments in the field of visual culture. The paper describes three vectors of art development through the activities of art societies: upholding the foundations of traditional Chinese painting, the active inclusion of the European visual language and the synthesis of these two seemingly mutually exclusive streams. Using the historical method, the author analyzes the activities of art societies that significantly influenced the formation of a new scenario for the development of the visual culture of Shanghai in the first third of the 20th century. Firstly, at the beginning of the last century, this metropolis became the largest economic and cultural center of China. Secondly, most of the local artists who joined public organizations received Western education. Thirdly, the activities of art societies have significantly enriched and expanded the creative possibilities of the masters, attracted the attention of the population to the fine arts, and modernized the painting traditions of China. The author of the article comprehends the influence of Russian artists on the cultural life of Shanghai, and also focuses on the emergence and development of \"female\" art in Chinese culture during the period under study. Every year, in some parts of the world, a decrease in annual precipitation and temperature is recorded, in others, on the contrary, an increase. These fluctuations can cause droughts, floods and degradation of permafrost soils. Further climate change may cause irreparable damage to traditional farming methods and adversely affect housing conditions in many regions of the globe. Thus, climate change can complicate and disrupt the established order of life and activity of the population of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). This paper highlights a problem that has not been specifically studied before, and which concerns all hunters of the republic, the impact of climate change on hunting activities. The work is based on field materials collected by Vilyuysky and Tattinsky districts. Field materials were collected by audio, photo and video recording, in-depth interviewing and included observation during field work in the Vilyuysky and Tattinsky districts of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). In earlier scientific works research was conducted separately on the topic of the impact of climate change on the daily life and economic activities of the Yakuts, in this work hunting activity was considered. Hunters who participated in the research adapt to the changing climate in various ways: they increase the range of hunting area, equip trips over longer distances than before, learn to re-read changes in weather conditions, manufacture and use various devices for hunting and storage. This article is devoted to the issue of integrating a chatbot into the educational process as part of the study of the Russian language by Chinese students. The possibilities of using a chatbot in the aspect of RFL in face-to-face and remote formats are considered, and its advantages and disadvantages in acquiring specific practical skills, in particular, when studying Russian numbers, are identified. The purpose of this research is to study the possibilities of using a chatbot to identify the meaning of language units and the correctness of grammatical structures, as well as cultural characteristics in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The research method is to analyze the correctness and usefulness of the chatbot's (ChatGLM) responses to questions related to the Russian language and culture. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the consideration of practical aspects of using a chatbot for studying the Russian language and culture. The results of this study show that the chatbot is a useful tool and allows you to practice language, ask questions in Russian and Chinese and receive answers from the system. To a limited extent, the chatbot can correct errors, suggest correct phrases and help students improve their foreign language communication skills. Machine learning methods and technologies, such as the chatbot, can be used to improve foreign language skills in the context of cross-cultural communication if treated judiciously. The subject of the research is the ontological, epistemological and anthropological aspects of creativity, revealed in the conceptual space of classical European philosophy. The aim of this research is to identify ways to understand creativity as a cultural and philosophical phenomenon through the prism of the views of the largest representatives of European philosophical thought. When considering the essential foundations of creativity, special attention is paid to the ontological, epistemological and anthropological nature of creativity, which is emphasized in the conceptual constructions of Plato, Aristotle, Augustine Blessed, Thomas Aquinas, F. Bacon, R. Descartes, J. Locke, I. Kant and F.W.J. Schelling. The theoretical basis of this research is the original works of representatives of classical European philosophy, as well as modern research in the field of philosophy of creativity. The methodological foundation of the research is the comparative analysis and the method of contextual vision of creativity. The main result of the conducted research is the articulation of the understanding of the phenomenon of creativity in the context of the classical period of the development of European philosophical thought from the standpoint of ontological, gnoseological and anthropological approaches. Based on the identified aspects of the desired cultural phenomenon, a historically determined concept of creativity is presented. {"title":"The \"domestication\" of cold by the Russian population of Yakutia in the second half of the XIX – first half of the XX centuries.","authors":"A. Suleymanov","doi":"10.25136/2409-8744.2023.6.69272","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.25136/2409-8744.2023.6.69272","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of the article is to identify the main directions and reconstruct the practices of using cryogenic resources (cold, snow, ice, permafrost) and, in general, the \"domestication\" of cold by the Russian population of Yakutia during the mid XIX century and the twentieth century. The source base for writing the work was a set of disparate ethnographic information presented by published works and documents from the collections of the State Archive of the Irkutsk Region (Irkutsk), the Scientific Archive of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk), the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) and its St. Petersburg branch. In addition, a number of information was obtained during the author's empirical research in a number of rural settlements of Yakutia during 2017-2023. The methodological basis for the preparation of the article is the principles laid down in cryosophy, which involve the study of the cold matter of the Earth through the prism of their role as an active element of the universe, as well as in the Cryoanthropology. Within the framework of the Cryoanthropology, the formation of the traditional culture of the indigenous ethnic groups of the Arctic and Subarctic is considered through the prism of the dominance of natural cold in the region, cryogenic processes and phenomena as fundamental, environmental factors. In this regard, the article shows the practices of the exploitation of cryogenic resources by the Russian population of Yakutia in cattle and horse breeding, agriculture, in ensuring the functioning of residential and outbuildings, organization of storage and preparation of food, etc. It is noted that they had certain specifics within various groups of Russian settlers caused by specific natural and geographical features of their areas of residence, as well as characteristics of interethnic ties. In this regard, differences between, for example, the Prilensky and Arctic groups of the Russian old-timers have been recorded.
