However, due its modular structure and replicating ability, the cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter is much more popular and widely improved and modified into various cascaded multilevel inverter topology versions, particularly in the attempts to reduce the total number of switches in the topology design. One aspect that escapes much of the researchers and inventors attention is the effect of the number of conducting switches along the current loop of the inverter before it reaches the output terminals. In this paper, a comparison has been made on the effect of the number of conducting switches during inverter operation between a 41-level classic H-bridge multilevel inverter and a 41-level inverter topology with only one bidirectional switch. Both circuits are tested using Matlab Simulink platform. The results presented show that for higher load power and increased load current, the cascaded H-bridge inverter output is reduced and distorted.","PeriodicalId":331521,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 10th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium (ICSGRC)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134530430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Prescribing the optimal dose of methadone is crucial and complex. It involves avoiding the opioid withdrawal consequences, suppressing cravings, and preventing relapse to illicit opioids use. Hence, this study provides prediction for methadone optimal dose by applying the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) technique. ANFIS has the advantage of knowledge learning capabilities from both clinical data and the expert knowledge (i.e. fuzzy rules), and it is well suited for managing complex problems. The ANFIS model was developed by using MATLAB (i.e. Fuzzy Logic Toolbox). The results obtained show close agreement between the predicted and actual optimal doses as the obtained coefficient value are close to unity in both in both training and testing datasets. This indicates the ANFIS model is able to deal with real clinical data and it is viable to be used for predicting the optimal methadone doses in MMT patients.","PeriodicalId":331521,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 10th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium (ICSGRC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122213886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper reviews in-depth previous studies on security factors affecting e-banking. Security trust, risks, protection strategy and best practices for future security trends are discussed to help banks and consumers mitigate the suitable secure transactions of e-banking. Results from reviewing valuable studies in this paper shows that user trust and privacy concerns have the highest impact on user behavior toward accepting any e-banking system. Security issues can decrease the clients trust and in return decrease the number of E-banking users. Thus, banks are recommended to find a way to increase user trust by offering their users a range of the latest and the best security technologies in order to encourage them to accept the e-banking system and gain the user trust.","PeriodicalId":331521,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 10th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium (ICSGRC)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124768310","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ideal gain of the converter is the same as that of BBC. These shared properties of the BBC and q-ZSC give it some advantages over each of them. Its continuous gain curve gives it advantages over the q-ZSC with discontinuous gain while its higher gain magnitude edges it over that with a single gain curve. It’s topology edge it over corresponding BBC by permitting smaller components usage due to higher frequency operation, elimination of dead time, shoot-through effects etc. A 50 KHz asymmetric mini prototype was developed and experimental results confirmed its operation.","PeriodicalId":331521,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 10th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium (ICSGRC)","volume":"196 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127525071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Before GPR invented, engineers, rely on the excavation process to determine what lies beneath the ground surface. Excavation is an expensive and time-consuming endeavour, but it does not always detect every object underground. GPR, by comparison, is faster, more accurate, and less costly than enable to penetrate most materials with few exceptions. This study meant to evaluate whether different types of material underneath, can cause an impact on the image display of the underground profile for human interpretation. GPR with a central frequency of 250 MHz - used to capture the image of pipes buried in six samples of different soil types and one of it is a ready mix concrete. There are two metals and two plastic pipes running through the material at the depth 0.5m and 1m respectively were buried on site. A few pieces of plywood used as the separator between them. Each GPR data, of pipes buried in six different soil material displayed as a two-dimensional array of value called radargram. The array with a specific value and location show the intensity of the reflected wave for each soil that reflected the signal. Motion control of the pneumatic piston rod is a complex task and highly nonlinear makes it difficult to handle the task involving precise positioning. Therefore, this research has designed FSAPID with fuzzy logic system as a tuner to the PID controller to overcome the fast response and high oscillation by the pneumatic piston actuation. Set of fuzzy rules was designed as a decision maker for PID gains according to the input tracking errors of the rod piston position The FSAPID was verfied through several simulations and compared with conventional PID control on the same double acting single piston pneumatic system plant. The results show FSAPID able to reduce the steady-state error as well as low vibration on a pneumatic stroke motion. Moreover, FSAPID performing low overshoot rate and fast settling time than PID controller.","PeriodicalId":331521,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 10th Control and System Graduate Research Colloquium (ICSGRC)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127900076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
