Ele foi produzido a partir da experiencia do autor em lecionar em um curso de formacao de professores de biologia e apos ter sido interpelado pela seguinte pergunta: o que cabe de genero no ensino de biologia? Na busca por examinar os fundamentos dessa interrogacao, o argumento e organizado em duas partes. Na primeira, explora-se como o desencantamento da relacionalidade natureza e cultura, apagada como possibilidade nos estudos de genero, e um dos nomes do trator desenvolvimentista que converte a primeira em limitacao e em recurso. Na segunda parte, percorrem-se possibilidades do ensino de biologia recompor conexoes e reativar multiplas e heterogeneas camadas das relacoes natureza e cultura a partir da irrupcao de estranha intimidade entre especies diante da temporalidade reprodutiva de regimes (hetero)normativos.
