Dynamic rotation angle enables the generation of multi-scroll and multi-wing attractors from single and double-scroll ones. The rotating systems are integrated with a generalized dynamic switched synchronization scheme. Dynamic control switches determine whether each system plays the role of master or slave. Based on dynamic scaling factors, the master can be one system or a combination of several ones with new strange attractors. The rotating fractional-order systems fit into the synchronization application, where simulation results validate successful synchronization for rotating slave and master systems.","PeriodicalId":330822,"journal":{"name":"2019 Novel Intelligent and Leading Emerging Sciences Conference (NILES)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115800497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cancer is the most serious disease facing humans and possibly leading to death. So, a definitive solution must be done to these diseases, to eliminate them and also to protect humans from them. Breast cancer is considered being one of the dangerous types of cancers that face women in particular. Early examination should be done periodically and the diagnosis must be more sensitive and effective to preserve the women lives. There are various types of breast cancer images but magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become one of the important ways in breast cancer detection. In this work, a new method is done to detect the breast cancer using the MRI images that is preprocessed using a 2D Median filter. The features are extracted from the images using discrete wavelet transform (DWT). These features are reduced to 13 features. Then, support vector machine (SVM) is used to detect if there is a tumor or not. Simulation results have been accomplished using the MRI images datasets. These datasets are extracted from the standard Breast MRI database known as the “Reference Image Database to Evaluate Response (RIDER)”. The proposed method has achieved an accuracy of 98.03 % using the available MRIs database. The processing time for all processes was recorded as 0.894 seconds. The obtained results have demonstrated the superiority of the proposed system over the available ones in the literature.","PeriodicalId":330822,"journal":{"name":"2019 Novel Intelligent and Leading Emerging Sciences Conference (NILES)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121298486","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A combination of steganography and cryptography provides very secure communication, where steganography hides the secret data and cryptography scrambles the secret data into an unreadable form. This paper proposes a message security scheme that applies audio steganography and cryptography to provide a secure communication by embedding a secret message inside an audio file. The Blowfish algorithm is used for cryptography and the LSB coding technique is used for steganography. The LSB coding alternates between the left channel and the right channel respectively. The proposed scheme is evaluated in terms of the mean square error (MSE), peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), a hearing test and a comparison between the waveform plots of the cover and stego audios. The results prove that the proposed scheme exhibits very good performance. In addition, it is found to surpass other proposed schemes from the literature with much higher PSNR values.","PeriodicalId":330822,"journal":{"name":"2019 Novel Intelligent and Leading Emerging Sciences Conference (NILES)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127913429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, monitoring the optical power dissipation as light travels in different layers of tissue is essential in determining the required optical dose. Each part in the human body is protected by different thickness of skin layer; therefore, studying the variations of the optical power when light propagates in different thicknesses of the human skin is essential for safe and accurate medical diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedure. In this work, optical power attenuation in two multi-layers human skin models at different laser wavelengths and power is investigated. The system is analyzed using MonteCarlo simulation for light propagation in biological tissues. The obtained results showed a maximum penetrated power at 1100 nm laser irradiation for the both investigated models, while, the minimum power was recorded at 1500 nm. In addition, the absorbance in each skin layer was calculated providing essential information for both diagnostic and treatment purposes.","PeriodicalId":330822,"journal":{"name":"2019 Novel Intelligent and Leading Emerging Sciences Conference (NILES)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128380792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also human Activity recognition (HAR) in recent times has found application in the explanations of the origin of complex diseases. In this paper an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS)-based model is introduced for classification of daily living activities (ADLs) using data collected with a tri-axial Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensor. Specifically, normalized data from the IMU axes within a specific window were considered to classify four chosen daily living activities (sit, stand, walk and run). The proposed ANFIS classifier were evaluated in terms of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) over a variety of different ANFIS parameters and the results show that the selected activities are recognized well with an an overall accuracy rate of 98.88%.","PeriodicalId":330822,"journal":{"name":"2019 Novel Intelligent and Leading Emerging Sciences Conference (NILES)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131210244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Controllers are used to control the DC/DC converters in order that, they can take actions against changes in irradiance input levels, temperature input levels and load values. In this study, a standalone PV system that feeds a DC load is simulated. Integer order controller and fractional order controller are compared considering two scenarios. The first scenario is to change the irradiance levels while maintaining the load at a constant value. In the second scenario, the load value and the input irradiance levels are changed. In the two scenarios, the response is observed while keeping the temperature at a constant value for simplicity. Tuning of controllers is performed using a cost optimization method namely, Particle Swarm method. Oustaloup algorithm and Matsuda algorithm are two techniques are used in this paper individually to approximate the fractional order of Laplace operator. Results show that, better robustness and less error in case of fractional controllers can be observed as compared to the integer controller.","PeriodicalId":330822,"journal":{"name":"2019 Novel Intelligent and Leading Emerging Sciences Conference (NILES)","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132663741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The form was mainly generated from generalizing an active second-order low-pass filter with three capacitors to the fractional-order domain with three independent orders. The transfer function introduced an extra term in the denominator comprising the third fractional order. The effect of the third fractional-order alongside the other transfer function coefficients on the critical frequencies had been studied numerically. For simulation purposes, Foster I realization had been utilized to synthesis the fractional-order capacitors approximated by using Matsuda technique. The simulation had been carried out on OrCAD showing matching results to the theoretical analysis with subtle error for the half-power frequency. Experimental work had been conducted on ELVIS II kit using off-the-shelf components and the results showed a match to the simulation profile with low error. Aside from that, complete design flow for active fractional-order filters had been followed in this work.","PeriodicalId":330822,"journal":{"name":"2019 Novel Intelligent and Leading Emerging Sciences Conference (NILES)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130448234","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
