Also, the finding of this research is for publication in the journal. This study is conducted by using online qualitative survey technique. The subjects of this study were teachers who teach English for beginners in Pontianak and its surrounding. The data were collected by a set of close-ended statements in an online questionnaire and also an online interview. The findings showed that there were various methods that can be applied in teaching English to the beginners, and those methods depend on the students’ learning style. Since students’ learning style are different from one to another, the teachers may use various methods in their classroom. However, even when the methods are various, not every method is effective in teaching English to the beginners. Therefore, the teachers need to choose the appropriate methods carefully in teaching English to the beginners. Based on this focus, researchers used a qualitative approach by Miles & Huberman which started with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. The types of data sources in this study are divided into two, namely primary data and secondary data. For primary data sources, namely direct research objects in the form of interview notes, results of field observations, and information, all of which were obtained directly when conducting research. Whereas secondary data sources come from existing data, collected by agency investigators, previous researchers and previous organizations. Sources of data in this study are derived from observations, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of interviews with informants showed that there was still excessive workload on TAS, the madrasah's fragility was very complete, and the madrasah principal played an active role in preparing for school accreditation. The preparation for accreditation of the Madrasah Aliyah school has been quite good when viewed from the age of the madrasa which is still running for 2 years.Keywords: Management, Preparation, School Accreditation AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali informasi mengenai persiapan tenaga administrasi sekolah dalam pengelolaan persiapan akreditasi yang dilakukan di salah satu Madrasah Aliyah. Berdasarkan fokus tersebut peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif oleh Miles & Huberman yang diawali dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, serta verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Jenis sumber data penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua yaitu data primer serta data sekunder. Untuk sumber data primer yaitu objek penelitian langsung berupa catatan hasil wawancara, hasil observasi lapangan, dan informasi yang semuanya diperoleh secara langsung saat melakukan penelitian. Sedangkan sumber data sekunder berasal dari data yang sudah ada, dikumpulkan oleh penyidik instansi, peneliti terdahulu serta organisasi sebelumnya. Sumber data pada penelitian ini yaitu berasal dari hasilpengamatan, wawancara, serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil wawancara dengan informan diperoleh hasil bahwa masih terdapat pembebanan kerja yang berlebihan terhadap TAS, fasilitas madrasah sudah sangat lengkap, dan kepala madrasah berperan aktif dalam persiapan akreditasi sekolah. Persiapan akreditasi sekolah di Madrasah Aliyah memiliki persiapan yang cukup baik jika dilihat dari umur madrasah yang masih berjalan 2 tahun. The purpose of writing is to describe the study's results using a grounded theory approach. The type of research used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques were obtained from observation, interviews, and document review. Important features of the grounded theory approach are: a) using theory as an explanation of a phenomenon in the practice of making illustrative images in online learning; b) research questions are directed to explore problems; c) data analysis is carried out in stages through the stages of consulting the concept and design of the work; d) data collection; e) data analysis supported by theoretical reinforcement. The study results show that the habitus process of creativity in making illustration images can be dissected with relevant theories or concepts so that an understanding of work practices in art education for elementary school children is obtained. Keywords: habitus, creativity, illustration image AbstrakLatar belakang penulisan artikel adalah membedah hasil analisis habitus kreativitas dari proses menggambar ilustrasi melalui teori atau konsep yang sesuai. Tujuan penulisan adalah menguraikan hasil kajian dengan pendekatan grounded theory. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dari proses observasi, wawancara, dan telaah dokumen. Ciri-ciri penting pada pendekatan grounded theory yaitu: a) menggunakan teori sebagai penjelasan tentang suatu fenomena praktik membuat gambar ilustrasi pada pembelajaran daring; b) pertanyaan penelitian diarahkan untuk mengeksplorasi permasalahan; c) analisis data dilakukan secara bertahap melalui tahapan konsultasi konsep dan desain karya; d) pengumpulan data; e) analisis data yang didukung dengan penguatan teoretis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa proses habitus kreativitas dalam pembuatan gambar ilustrasi dapat dibedah dengan teori-teori atau konsep-konsep yang relevan, sehingga didapati pemahaman praktik berkarya dalam pendidikan seni bagi anak sekolah dasar. The sample was 520 students, sampling used random sampling. Data collection, using a self-disclosure questionnaire, was given to students using Google forms. The method used is a descriptive method, with descriptive statistical analysis. There are five indicators studied, namely: self-disclosure in socializing, dressing, determining the future, managing finances and self-disclosure in personality. The research results stated that students' self-disclosure was in the sufficient category. Based on gender, women have the highest average self-disclosure compared to men. Self-disclosure regarding the future and personality is in the high category. Meanwhile, indicators of self-disclosure in socializing, dressing and managing finances are in the medium category. The objectives of this study are; (1) the results of the feasibility of the educational media and (2) the responses of students and teachers to the developed educational media. The method used is the 3D-E development model or with 4 development procedures namely decide, design, develop and evaluate. The research subjects were 119 grade 5 students from 5 primary schools in Samarinda. The data collection technique used the evaluation questionnaire method, interviews and documentation. The results showed that: (1) The media was considered \"feasible to try without revision\" with a score of 3.8. {"title":"IMPLEMENTASI PEMBERIAN REWARD DAN PUNISHMENT DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 40 PALEMBANG","authors":"Fitri Oviyanti, Muhammad Fakhri Ramadhan, Muhammad Farhan Arib","doi":"10.26418/jvip.v16i2.75045","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26418/jvip.v16i2.75045","url":null,"abstract":"Permasalahan yang jadi fokus dalam penulisan skripsi ini mencakup hal-hal berikut: (1) Bagaimana implementasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan sistem penghargaan dan hukuman untuk meningkatkan semangat belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 40 Palembang, (2) Langkah-langkah apa yang diambil oleh guru dalam meningkatkan semangat belajar siswa dengan menerapkan sistem penghargaan dan hukuman di SMP Negeri 40 Palembang, (3) Dampak apa yang timbul dari penerapan pembelajaran dengan sistem penghargaan dan hukuman guna meningkatkan semangat belajar di SMP Negeri 40 Palembang. Keuntungan dari penelitian ini terletak pada manfaat yang diperoleh dalam mendapatkan teori baru mengenai peningkatan semangat belajar siswa melalui penerapan sistem penghargaan, yang dapat memperluas pemahaman bagi para pendidik dan dunia pendidikan pada umumnya, baik oleh peneliti sendiri maupun peneliti lainnya. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penulisan skripsi ini meliputi penggunaan angket (kuisioner), observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesimpulan sebagai berikut: melalui penyebaran kuisioner berisi 30 pertanyaan mengenai penerapan pembelajaran dengan sistem penghargaan, nilai tertinggi terdapat pada pertanyaan nomor 1, dengan 98% responden menyetujui pernyataan dalam kuisioner tersebut. Sementara nilai terendah terdapat pada pertanyaan nomor 6 dan 10, dengan 87% responden yang menyetujui atau mengikuti pernyataan dalam kuisioner. Sedangkan dalam penerapan pembelajaran menggunakan metode hukuman, nilai tertinggi ada pada pertanyaan nomor 4, dengan 89% dari 21 guru yang merespon melakukan hal tersebut untuk menerapkan hukuman kepada siswa. Nilai terendah yang diperoleh adalah 37% pada pertanyaan nomor 10. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru dapat dijadikan ukuran terhadap profesionalisme mereka dalam bidang pendidikan. Tingkat tertinggi tercapai pada 90%, yang mengacu pada pernyataan dalam kuisioner nomor 1, 3, dan 5. Sedangkan tingkat terendah terdapat pada pernyataan nomor 9, dengan nilai rata-rata 39% dari total skor yang diperoleh dari setiap pernyataan dalam kuisioner. The data analysis, conducted through thematic analysis, shed light on how character education is structured and the myriad challenges that emerge in its execution. Key findings reveal that while Al-Mukmin Islamic Boarding School adopts a comprehensive approach to character education, encompassing learning, habituation, and practice, it concurrently grapples with significant hurdles. These include the scarcity of qualified educators proficient in both academic and moral teachings, the need to balance academic rigor with moral values, cultural influences affecting educational practices, and the complexities of engaging students and assessing moral development effectively. One interesting case study is Bumrung Suksa Islamic School in Southern Thailand, an Islamic educational institution that has adapted to global dynamics and contemporary demands. This research uses a qualitative approach to explore the concept of moderation in Islamic education in this school. This approach involves in-depth interviews with teaching staff, students and school stakeholders, as well as analysis of documents related to the school’s curriculum and policies. The research results show that Bumrung Suksa Islamic School has succeeded in integrating Islamic values of moderation into their daily education. This school’s curriculum not only focuses on the transfer of religious knowledge, but also on character formation, developing a balanced understanding of Islam, strengthening an Islamic identity that is balanced with tolerance and openness, as well as inter-ethnic dialogue that strengthens harmonious relations between members of the school community. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the global Islamic education literature, especially in the context of Muslim minority communities in non-Muslim countries. Salah satu studi kasus menarik adalah Bumrung Suksa Islamic School di Thailand Selatan, sebuah lembaga pendidikan Islam yang telah beradaptasi dengan dinamika global dan tuntutan kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mengeksplorasi konsep moderasi pendidikan Islam di sekolah ini.Pendekatan ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan staf pengajar, siswa, dan pihak terkait sekolah, serta analisis dokumen terkait kurikulum dan kebijakan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bumrung Suksa Islamic School telah berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai moderasi Islam dalam pendidikan sehari-hari mereka.Kurikulum sekolah ini tidak hanya memfokuskan pada transfer pengetahuan agama, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter, pengembangan pemahaman yang seimbang terhadap Islam, penguatan identitas Islam yang seimbang dengan toleransi dan keterbukaan, serta dialog antar-etnis yang memperkuat hubungan harmonis di antara anggota komunitas sekolah.Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada literatur pendidikan Islam global, khususnya dalam konteks masyarakat minoritas Muslim di negara-negara non-Muslim.
