In particular cases obvious generator scheduling may appear to be not the most effective strategy in terms of economical aspects. The article proposes mathematical model for optimal control scheduling in terms of electrical energy cost reduction. Because of complex objective function proposed approach allows to take into account various aspects, such as energy tariff restrictions, generator efficiency and rating curve variations, energy selling. For most purposes, especially in the field of computer vision, suitable tools to support the labeling process have already been developed. However, for some use cases convenient methods are still not available. In order to bridge this gap, we propose a new lightweight labeling tool for highly sensitive streaming data like human body data from a sensor wristband. The proposed system Scalabeling uses a linear slider as the main interface for configurable user created labels. The system records user inputs from this slider, converts them to labels and combines them with data from an asynchronously received data stream. Finally the resulting labeled dataset is saved and can be used in various machine learning systems. We implemented this tool and performed a preliminary evaluation by applying it to a real-world labeling problem from an ongoing research project. Seven channel models were considered here, having hydraulic diameters Dh between 200 and 240 µm and aspect ratios AR between 2 and 0.67. The rotating microchannel model having Dh = 240 µm and AR = 0.67, with the lowest hydraulic resistance, presented at a rotating speed ω = 400 rad/s the highest ratio the between Coriolis and centrifugal forces (β = 2.88). The highest axial velocity values along almost the entire channel length and the highest proportion of 1.34 between the maximum wall shear rates along z-direction and y-direction at the channel outlet were also obtained for this model. In Voltage Source Converter topologies, Half Bridge Modular Multilevel Converter (HB-MMC) has been widely used but HB-MMC is vulnerable to large DC fault current due to their free-wheeling diodes. In this paper, Author proposes a bridge type solid state fault current limiter (BFCL) for DC fault current suppression and a novel DC circuit breaker for clearing fault instantly. The Solid State bridge type FCL confine fault current to 2 kA from its peak 14 kA value which shows 86% suppression in fault current. The Novel circuit breaker has been design to interrupt 10 kA and below 10 kA DC fault current with in 1.9 ms and when connect in series with Solid State Bridge type FCL, where fault current is above 10 kA, the interruption time is 7.1 ms. The setup is equipped with a sophisticated measuring setup containing more than 90 sensors to capture temperatures, soil characteristics and environmental parameters. Among other things, an evaluation of the temperature sensor positions and their influence on machine learning applications in thermal rating was carried out. These have shown that the considerable dependence of the distance to the cable system and its influence on the resulting thermal rating, as is the case with conventional methods, can be overcome to a reasonable extent by the application of machine learning. The investigations have shown that all positions described in this paper can be used within the cable trench and that even external sensor position can be used in machine learning applications to derive reasonable thermal models. The formula for calculating the energy-saving effect from active filtration in a three-phase three-wire power system in the conditions of unbalanced load and line voltages is derived. Experimental studies show that the proposed integral control strategy of active filtration with a reference vector of line asymmetric voltages provides the best energy-saving effect but generates asymmetric mains currents. The chargers of EVs are categorized into three levels; L1 and L2. These chargers have different power ratings and prices. On the other hand, many houses started to add distributed energy resources such as photovoltaic (PV) to their existing power service. This paper investigates the optimal level of an EV charger for a residential building with renewable energy. The optimization aims to reduce the energy cost during the lifetime of the EV battery. The optimization constraints include the EV state of charge, the charging/discharging power limits of the EV, the EV expected availability, the house service size, and the EV maximum number of cycles. The study also investigates the feasibility of conducting a power service upgrade while keeping a power reserve for future load uncertainty. The problem is formulated as a non-convex optimization problem utilizing the Gurobi solver. The optimization problem is solved for different scenarios presenting different loads, PV power, and EV availability scenarios. Case studies are conducted using household data in Los Angeles, CA. The studies evaluated the energy cost saving for different levels of the chargers in the case of various PV sizes and energy tariffs. The presence of 1-bit sigma delta (ΣΔ) modulation results in high quantization error that can be reduced by addition of band pass filter (BPF) at the receiver side. However, this BPF leads to an additional unwanted magnitude and phase noise that severely affects the signal integrity. In order to reduce the effects of conventional BPF, a Pre-BPF is proposed which is inserted before ΣΔ modulator to counteract the magnitude and phase response of conventional BPF. The proposed system is practically validated for 5G new radio (NR) 100-MHz signal with 256 quadrature amplitude modulation centered at 3 GHz with 5 km of link length. The experimental realization compares analog radio over fiber (A-RoF), conventional ΣΔ-RoF and Pre-BPF-ΣΔ-RoF.
