In order to design spacer spool with specified material should comply the standards and procedures of the oil and gas industry. The results of the material calculation were using the ASME BPVC guidelines. These three materials strengths were calculated if used as a body spacer spool. Based on acceptance criteria on API 6A 21st Edition, these three materials were categorized as acceptable to be used as a body spacer spool for this specification. These three materials strengths were also calculated the stress of the flange and flange rigidity criteria. Based on the acceptance criteria on ASME BPVC guidelines, the results showed that these materials can be used for flange because it had stress value under yield strength of material which was flange rigidity criteria for operating condition has 0.59 and 0.66 for testing condition because had value of rigidity that met with minimum acceptance criteria.","PeriodicalId":32811,"journal":{"name":"JEMMME Journal of Energy Mechanical Material and Manufacturing Engineering","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75068031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sieve analysis of pretreated CHA was done to obtain 75 µm, 150 µm and 300 µm particles sizes. These particles were used at varying compositions of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% as reinforcements for polyester composites. The catalyst and accelerator used were Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide and Cobalt Naphthenate respectively. The densities of the evaluated composites made with 150 μm particles were found to be less dense with values ranging from 0.9792 g/cm3 to 1.2561 g/cm3 than those made with 75μm and 300μm. The results also show that the percentage water absorbed by samples increased, ranging from 0 to over 2000 E’/MPa for all percentage reinforcements of CHA, with an increase in the duration of immersion of the samples in distilled water. However, 25% reinforcement had better results for all particle sizes. There were obvious variations of storage modulus, loss modulus and mechanical loss factor with percentage weight of reinforcement, temperature and frequency. The composite with 15 % reinforcement displayed better results and can be used as a material for interior components in aerospace and automobile industries.","PeriodicalId":32811,"journal":{"name":"JEMMME Journal of Energy Mechanical Material and Manufacturing Engineering","volume":"35 9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82801027","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More specifically, geometry and hardness of chips as well as the chips removal effect on the machined surfaces are investigated in a quantitative fashion as a function of machining fluid and cutting parameter. The machining is carried out by using a horizontal shaper machine with a V-shaped HSS tool under three different machining fluids, where the feed rate is kept constant, while the cutting speed and depth of cut are varied. The geometry and hardness of the machined chips as well as the quality of machined surfaces are found to be affected quite significantly by the change of machining condition, particularly by the machining fluids.","PeriodicalId":32811,"journal":{"name":"JEMMME Journal of Energy Mechanical Material and Manufacturing Engineering","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81734286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Optimal solution was selected and its frames were determined by carrying out classic structural calculations. Then, based on them, a preliminary three-dimensional model was designed in the CAD environment. The prototype was subjected to a series of verification calculations and simulation tests using the finite element method under typical, but also non-standard operating conditions. Then, the structure was optimized and then tested again. Next, technical documentation of the final version was created. In the final part of work, technical and operational parameters of designed compact excavator were summarized and the direction of further actions was determined. The thesis ended with a summary of the observations arose during its implementation.","PeriodicalId":32811,"journal":{"name":"JEMMME Journal of Energy Mechanical Material and Manufacturing Engineering","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91180325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the case of water turbines and pumps, a large number of researches have been published recently, related to the use of different numerical methods for prediction of efficiency, cavitation characteristics and different dynamic phenomena. For basic analysis an accurate result near the optimal operating regime is sufficient, but for detailed analysis the numerical analyses in the wider field of operating conditions are necessary. Thus, we encounter some otherwise known physical phenomena that occur in the part load and full load regime. In these areas, due to the nature of the flow, various non-stationary phenomena occur that are dominant for such operating regimes. In this paper, the problems that arises if we consider only stationary results and some recommendations to avoid later problems in the operation of centrifugal pumps are presented.","PeriodicalId":32811,"journal":{"name":"JEMMME Journal of Energy Mechanical Material and Manufacturing Engineering","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83169171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Both methods and the workpiece material were also described. Using the laser triangulation method, the cut surface texture was measured by opto-digital microscopy. Additionally, microscopic images of the cut surface were made using the Dino-Lite Edge AM7915MZT microscope by ANMO Electronics Co. The analysis of changes in the value of the Sa parameter for the surface after laser cutting and abrasive water-jet showed that the thickness of the cut material has the most significant influence on the obtained measurement results.","PeriodicalId":32811,"journal":{"name":"JEMMME Journal of Energy Mechanical Material and Manufacturing Engineering","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78513626","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An optimization problem is formulated for balancing the planar six-bar mechanism by developing an objective function. The genetic algorithm and MINITAB software were used to solve the optimization problem. The selection of weighting factors has a crucial role to obtain the optimum values of design parameters. Two sets of weighting factors were considered as per the contribution of X and Y components of the shaking force and shaking moments. Shaking force and shaking moments were minimized drastically and were compared with the original values.","PeriodicalId":32811,"journal":{"name":"JEMMME Journal of Energy Mechanical Material and Manufacturing Engineering","volume":"97 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82226603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Drilling operation is one of the finishing operation in the production cycle, removing of burrs during drilling process is a time consuming and non-value added process to the manufacturing sector. So reducing the size of burrs is the main aim of the present study. In the present work, optimization of burr size is considered during drilling of aluminium 7075 alloy. From Grey relational grades of responses selected optimal combination of parameters to attain multiple performance characteristics of responses with a corresponding higher grey relational grade. For identifying the most significant input parameters that influence the output responses ANOVA is conducted. Finally, observations reveals that feed rate, point and clearance angles are the most influential factors on burr size and also experimental results divulge that the lower the thrust force causes to decrease the burr height. The proposed approach is helpful to the budding entrepreneurs in the related areas to select optimal combination of drilling parameters to attain multiple performance characteristics of responses especially in burr size to prevent the post finishing operations.","PeriodicalId":32811,"journal":{"name":"JEMMME Journal of Energy Mechanical Material and Manufacturing Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90810655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
