In present work the concept of pyrochlore formation during APS spraying of ZrO2 and ReO was analyzed. The specially prepared agglomerated mixtures of ZrO2 with Nd2O3, Yb2O3, Er2O3 and Gd2O3 oxides were plasma sprayed using A60 plasma torch on NiCoCrAlY-type bond coat. The influence of plasma gasses composition on coatings’ microstructure was investigated. The results of XRD phase analysis proved formation of pyrochlores from Gd2O3 +ZrO2 and Nd2O3+ZrO2 mixtures. The formation of Er4O12Zr3 from Er2O3+ ZrO2 mixture as well as Zr3Yb4 from Yb2O3+ ZrO2 powder was detected. The presence of pure rare earth oxides (REO) and zirconia oxides was observed in all types of sprayed coatings. The microstructural assessment showed differences in porosity and thickness of obtained ceramic coatings depending of type of REO oxides. The analysis of results showed that it is possible to obtain pyrochlore ceramic coatings from pure oxides mixture. In this study, HHO dry cell generator was designed, fabricated and tested experimentally to investigate its performance. The hybrid internal combustion engines using HHO gas is considered one of the most important studied applications. The vehicle engines performance and gas emissions are investigated for two different engines; 150CC with carburetor and 1300CC with Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The results recorded the consumption of the fuel is reduced by 14.8% for 150CC engine and 16.3% for 1300CC engine. HHO gas reduced the emission gases by 33% and 24.5% reduction in CO and 27.4% and 21% reduction in HC for 150CC and 1300CC engines respectively. New developments in automotive sector can be seen in many domains like material selection, design, manufacturing etc. Since wrong selection directly leads to product failure, among these, the proper selection of a particular material can be treat as utmost priority. Hence, the present work discusses a methodology to select the best aluminium alloy for automobile panels among various alternates serving the same purpose. Solar photovoltaic systems can help to fulfil the entire energy demands in rural areas by harnessing all the opportunities and potentials. The water is an important element in the life of plants, animals and human being. In this paper, it has been studied that solar energy could be used for water pumping applications such as providing water to rural and remote areas. It is being practiced in south Libya. The data is being collected over two years by measuring the water flow on daily basis at pumping head of (35m). In addition, this presents an evaluation of PV system in water pumping and piping systems and estimation of pumping energy cost. The solar pumping systems depend on water flow rate, pumping head and solar irradiance. The system components contain inverter, pump and PV generator. Drilling responses were compared between dry and wet (in presence of the cutting fluid) cutting conditions with respect to drilling force, roundness deviation and taper of the hole, and chip morphology. High production machining and drilling with high cutting speed, feed, and depth of cut were found to be inherently associated with the generation of a large amount of heat and high cutting temperature. In a dry condition such high cutting temperature not only reduces dimensional accuracy and tool life but also impairs the roundness deviation and taper of the hole. The use of a conventional cutting fluid, in such a situation, was very effective to reduce the cutting temperature. In a dry cutting condition, numerous tool-wears were found on the drill bits. Drilling in such a dry condition seriously affects roundness of the hole, and chip shape and color. Contrastingly, use of a traditional cutting fluid reduced temperature as well as improved roundness and taper of the hole. It also acted as a lubricate at the tool tip–work surface interface. The maximum content of wheat flour was 9.6% of the dry matter of the raw material, and the humidity of the raw material was 11.6, 25.7 and 36.0%. The various cost and time components involved in the minimum production cost and minimum production time criteria respectively, as well as all relevant technological/practical constraints were determined. An interactive, user-friendly computer package was then developed in Microsoft Visual Basic.Net environment to implement the developed models. The package was used to determine optimal machining parameters of cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut for the seven machining operations with twenty-three technological constraints in the conversion of a cylindrical metal bar stock into a finished machined profile.
