The history of the Orthodox Bogoglasnik has hardly been studied until now. The development of the Orthodox tradition of the Bogoglasnik coincided with the era of the Slavic Renaissance and the establishment of universal school education. This contributed to the gradual emergence of a large number of new writers of spiritual song and the emergence of an entire industry of their correspondence, both manually and through various available means of replication. Over time, the bogoglasnik turned into a national book of spiritual everyday life and became a kind of folk catechism of our days for millions of Eastern Slavs, mainly Ukrainians and Belarusians.","PeriodicalId":325863,"journal":{"name":"Inter-Slavic cultural ties. The dilogy contains not only words, but also whole phrases in Polish, most often of a hybrid Polish-Russian character. Often the titles of the chapters of the novel are presented in Polish. Also included are Polish prayers and songs. Polonisms refer to different parts of speech. Most of them are common nouns (19 lexical and semantic groups) and proper nouns. There are analyzed ways of adapting polonisms for understanding them by Russian-speaking readers. The function of transmitting the local specificity and national marking of the Poles is combined in Krestovsky's novel with the ideological one: showing the Poles as the inspirers and organizers of the uprising of 1861-1863 (“bloody pouf”) , that is , the enemies of Russian Empire.","PeriodicalId":325863,"journal":{"name":"Inter-Slavic cultural ties. It brings Peroutka´s (1895-1978) brief biography and emphasizes his activities in the journal Přítomnost. The author points to Peroutka´s connection with the friendly group around Karel Čapek, to his imprisonment in a concentration camp and his life in exile in the United States of America, connected with his cooperation with Radio Free Europe. He describes Peroutka´s journalistic and fiction work (short stories, dramas, and a novel). He deals with Peroutka´s attitude to the fiction literature, especially to the Russian fiction, which had been the subject of Peroutka´s interest for more than 60 years. Based on the analysis of the book-published work, the author documents Peroutka´s orientation in the given questions and his opinions on both the whole of Russian fiction literature and its important representatives: Tolstoy, Chekhov, Dostojevsky, Pasternak, Solzhenitsyn.","PeriodicalId":325863,"journal":{"name":"Inter-Slavic cultural ties. Pushkin in the Slovenian press, starting from 1838 up to the present. The most valuable one from today`s point of view is the national project “DLib.si” - “Electronic Library of Slovenia”. New factual data have been introduced into scientific circulation. At the same time, for the most complete understanding of the subject of research, it is necessary to work directly in the archives and libraries of the country of studied literature.","PeriodicalId":325863,"journal":{"name":"Inter-Slavic cultural ties. The interwar era emphasized the importance of T. G. Masaryk and the Czechoslovak legions, after the World War II - especially in 1948-1989 - the establishment of Czechoslovakia was associated with the Russian October Revolution of 1917, in response to communist riots. The interpretation of the origin of Czechoslovakia in 1918 is much more diversified today, at the beginning of the 21st century; in relation to the Russian environment, it rather recalls the importance of the February Revolution of 1917, the overthrow of the Tsar, which could also lead to the overthrow of the Austro-Hungarian and German empires.","PeriodicalId":325863,"journal":{"name":"Inter-Slavic cultural ties. The influence of Russian playwrights (first of all, N. Gogol, A. Chekhov and M. Gorky) is clearly visible in the dramatic works of J. G. Tajovsky, T. Vansova and V. H. V. (Vladimir Hurban Vladimirov). After the opening of the Slovak National Theater in 1920 and the arrival of the actor and director J. Borodač, a big admirer of the Stanislavsky and Russian theater system, more and more Russian and Soviet plays appear in the repertoire of this and other Slovak theaters. The influence of the Moscow Art Theater school began to manifest itself in the director's manner of Borodač, while another prominent Slovak director of that time, J. Jamnicky, was clearly influenced by the Russian avant-garde.","PeriodicalId":325863,"journal":{"name":"Inter-Slavic cultural ties. The article provides a brief overview of the history of the issue and emphasizes that the need to translate Slovak literature into Czech has been of concern to the scientific and translation community since the codification of the Slovak language. However, most researchers agree that translation is necessary, but the quality of translations needs to be improved. This article provides examples of the translation into Czech of works of modern Slovak authors such as M. Hvorecký, P. Vilikovský, M. Kopcsay, Balla, D. Kapitáňová, P. Pišťanek, etc. The most frequent errors caused by the negligent attitude of translators are considered. The article provides also examples of worthy translations into the Czech language, the high quality of which is provided by Czech translators who are writers themselves. In conclusion, it is summarized that a literary translation from Slovak into Czech is necessary not only for the convenience of the text perception by Czech readers, but to ensure a full edged literary impression.","PeriodicalId":325863,"journal":{"name":"Inter-Slavic cultural ties. One of the main thematic-motive dominants of the writer's poetics is a myth. This paper has dealt with the Slavic neomythologism in the poetry of Ismet Rebronja in the books of poems Gazilar (1978), Sreda i sreda kći (1983), Paganska krv (1986), and Keronika (1991). The mythopoetic image of Ismet Rebronja's world consists of people, gods, animals, and plants. The “heroes” of the poems are pagans - the Slavs, but also members of monotheism (Islam). The key parts of the mythopoetic world of Rebronja's man are the gods and lower deities. Apart from the gods known from the literature, in this pantheon, there are also those who are the author's creation. Mythical creatures and shadowy animals play an important role. The man of this world belongs primarily to an agrarian culture, so plants (grains, medicinal herbs, sacred trees) also occupy a privileged place. This space is constructed in the form of clean and unclean places, and some timelines are tabooed (days/parts of days). The image of the Slavic world sometimes starts with written sources, which the author takes often in a polemical way, especially when it comes to texts that present the Slavs as the wild other. Rebronja sings about a Slavic man placed in a large spacetime span, contemplating the formation of his identity and place within and between different civilized and barbaric people.","PeriodicalId":325863,"journal":{"name":"Inter-Slavic cultural ties.
