Mustika, Alfa Mitri Suhara, Endri Luki Fauzi","doi":"10.26499/RNH.V10I1.3348","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26499/RNH.V10I1.3348","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this research is to determine the ability to write persuasive speech text and learning motivation of junior high school students whose learning uses a scientific approach assisted by powtoon media compared to those using a scientific approach, to determine whether there is a relationship between learning motivation and the ability to write persuasive speech text of junior high school students, and to Knowing student performance in implementing the scientific approach, solving knowledge questions, and completing practical assignments to write persuasive speech texts. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental type nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study were 50 junior high school students. Based on the research data, it was found that the experimental class was better at writing persuasive speech texts than the control class. In the association test data between the ability to write persuasive speech text and learning motivation, it turns out that in the experimental class the Sig value is 0.058> 0.05 and in the control class the sig value is 0.357> 0.05. These results mean that there is no association between the ability to write persuasive speech texts and learning motivation in either the experimental class or the control class. The performance of students when implementing the scientific approach assisted by the powtoon media was 86.66%. These results meant that the student's performance was very good. The student's performance in his ability to write persuasive speech texts in the experimental class was in the good category, while in the control class it was in the poor category. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif dan motivasi belajar siswa SMP yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan bantuan media P owtoon dibandingkan dengan yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik, untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif siswa SMP, dan untuk mengetahui kinerja siswa dalam implementasi pendekatan saintifik, menyelesaikan soal-soal pengetahuan, dan menyelesaikan tugas praktik menulis teks pidato persuasif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen dengan tipe nonequivalent control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa SMP yang berjumlah 50 orang. Berdasarkan data penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dalam menulis teks pidato persuasif dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Pada data uji asosiasi antara kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif dengan motivasi berlajar ternyata pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai Sig 0,058> 0,05 dan di kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai Sig 0,357 > 0,05. Hasil tersebut bermakna bahwa tidak ada asosiasi antara kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif dan motivasi belajar baik di kelas eksperimen ataupun kelas kontrol. This research is conducted in Malang in 2020. The procedure in this study uses the (Gall et al., 2007) . The characteristics of the product consist of thirteen lessons that are used for online BIPA learning. Each lesson is developed based on actual topics according to beginner low level learner needs. The actual topics cover introduction, campus, home, office, canteen, park, and market. The variety of Indonesian uses in this teaching material is communicative variety. In addition, this teaching material is equipped with English as an complementary language. Based on the use test on the aspects of content, language, and presentation order, it can be concluded that online BIPA teaching material for beginner low-level learners has high feasibility. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) daring yang memiliki kelayakan untuk digunakan bagi pebelajar tingkat pemula rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Malang pada tahun 2020. Prosedur yang digunakan adalah model (Gall et al., 2007). Karakteristik bahan ajar yang dihasilkan terdiri atas tiga belas unit pelajaran yang digunakan untuk pembelajaran BIPA secara daring. Tiap unit pelajaran dikembangkan bertumpu pada topik aktual sesuai dengan kebutuhan pebelajar tingkat pemula rendah. Topik-topik aktual tersebut antara lain tentang perkenalan, kampus, rumah, kantor, kantin, taman, dan pasar. Ragam bahasa Indonesia yang digunakan dalam bahan ajar ini ragam komunikatif. Selain itu, bahan ajar ini difasilitasi bahasa bantu bahasa Inggris. However, teaching materials for scientific writing are still used books or references. There is no specific scientific writing book such as a module integrated by honesty characteristic. Honesty is one of the important characters in scientific writing, so that it is crucial to compile the good quality of that module. This study aims to test the quality of electronic modules (e-modules) based on integrated CTL character education for writing scientific work. The research method used is research and development method which used 4-D model which consist of four phases namely: define design, development, and assimilation. in the 3rd stage, namely development. The degree of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the module are tested in this research. The validity test results show that the validity of this CTL-based e-modules designed is very high with a validity percentage of 82%. E-module is relatively practical both in terms of ease of use and time aspects used. The percentage of the practicality of lecturer response test results reach 81%, while the student response test is 79%. E-modules is quite effective to enhance student activities and learning outcomes and also to build a spirit of honesty in writing scientific work. This can be seen through observation, the six indicators of activeness are in the category very active. The results obtained in general categories are very good. Abstrak Suksesnya pembelajaran di kelas sangat ditentukan oleh perencanaan dosen. Termasuk dalam perencanaan tersebut adalah rencana bahan ajar yang digunakan. Bahan ajar menulis karya ilmiah yang ada selama ini masih merupakan buku-buku ajar atau referensi, belum ada yang menuntun secara spesifik penulisan karya ilmiah dalam bentuk sebuah modul dan juga mengintegrasikan karakter kejujuran yang menjadi salah karakter penting dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Untuk itu, modul yang disusun harus memiliki kualitas yang baik. Maka, penelitian ini bertujuan menguji kualitas modul elektronik (e-modul) berbasis CTL terintegrasi pendidikan karakter untuk menulis karya ilmiah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan model 4-D pada tahap ke-3 yakni pengembangan (development). E-Modul diuji tingkat validitas, praktikalitas dan efektivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis CTL yang dirancang tergolong sangat valid dengan persentase validitas 82%. E-modul tergolong praktis baik dari aspek kemudahan dalam penggunaan maupun aspek waktu yang digunakan. Persentase praktikalitas dari hasil uji respon dosen mencapai 81%, sedangkan uji respon mahasiswa 79%. E-modul yang dirancang tergolong efektif untuk membangkitkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa serta membangun semangat kejujuran dalam menulis karya ilmiah. The researches on metaphors are mostly in finding the type of metaphor but rarely studies the function of metaphor. In addition, the researches on metaphors are still dominated by a semantic approach rather than a pragmatic approach, whereas metaphor is part of the language in use. This study aims to find the cognitive and pragmatic functions of metaphors in the debate of the 2017 Jakarta Governor election. The method in this research was a qualitative method with cognitive and pragmatic approaches. The data were collected by the read and record techniques. The data were analyzed by the referential and abductive inference method. The result of this study shows that most metaphorical expressions found in this study cognitively have ontological and structural functions. Whereas, pragmatically metaphors have a function to influence listeners by using target domains that are close to everyday life. In general, the metaphors that emerged at the debate of the 2017 DKI Jakarta Governor election have a function to help simplify abstract and complex political issues. Abstrak Metafora telah lama menjadi kajian sastra, tetapi pengkajian metafora pada wacana politik di Indonesia masih sangat jarang. Penelitian tentang metafora kebanyakan masih terbatas pada menemukan jenis dari metafora, tetapi kajian mengenai fungsi metafora masih jarang dilakukan. Selain itu, penelitian metafora masih didominasi oleh pendekatan semantik daripada pendekatan pragmatik. Padahal, metafora merupakan bagian dari penggunaan bahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan fungsi kognitif dan pragmatik metafora pada debat pemilihan Gubernur Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kognitif dan pragmatik. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak dengan teknik baca tulis. Data dianalisis dengan metode padan referensial dan inferensi abduktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ungkapan metaforis yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini secara kognitif memiliki fungsi ontologikal dan fungsi struktural. Sementara itu, secara pragmatik metafora berfungsi untuk memengaruhi pendengar dengan menggunakan ranah sasaran yang dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. The issue of this paper is focused on discussing the types of dysfemism used. This research is a descriptive qualitative type. The data of this research are sentences containing dysphemism. The data source of this research is the children's cartoon show Spongebob Squarepants¸ Crayon Shinchan, and Little Krishna taken from television and Youtube shows. The method of providing data is done by referring to the record and record techniques. The method of data analysis is done by the method of distribution with techniques for direct elements, fade techniques, and dressing techniques. The results of data analysis are presented by informal methods. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the type of dysfemism in children's cartoon shows in Indonesian television is in the form of 1) a comparison between humans and animals that are conventionally considered to have certain behaviors, 2) term or nickname derived from taboo body organs, body effluvia (odor or secretion), and sexual behavior, 3) nickname or dysphemistic greetings taken from physical characters that are seen so that it is considered to be an abnormal person, 4) curses and nicknames that use the term from mental abnormalities or mental illness, 5) sexist, racist, speciesist, classist, ageist and otherIST dysfemism that function as insults, and 6) the term insult or disrespect that calls insult to the intended character. Abstrak Dalam tulisan ini dikaji penggunaan disfemisme dalam tayangan kartun anak pada pertelevisian Indonesia yang dikategorikan berbahaya serta hati-hati menurut KPAI dan KPI. Permasalahan dalam tulisan ini difokuskan pada pembahasan jenis disfemisme yang digunakan. Penelitian ini berjenis deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa kalimat yang mengandung disfemisme. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah tayangan kartun anak “Spongebob Squarepants”¸ “Crayon Shinchan”, dan “Little Krishna” yang diambil dari tayangan televisi dan YouTube. Metode penyediaan data yang digunakan adalah metode simak dengan teknik rekam dan teknik catat. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode agih dengan teknik bagi unsur langsung, teknik lesap, dan teknik ganti. Hasil analisis data disajikan dengan metode informal. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data in this study were in the form of speeches from each of the speakers, namely government officials and experts. The subjects in this study were government officials and experts who were the speakers at the ILC TV ONE program. The approach of this research is AWK Norman Fairclough's qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that, that there is no one vote whether the pros or cons lockdown. Because there are a lot of considerations and shadows if the lockdown is done what the impact is and if nothing is done. There are 3 findings of representation from government officials' statements on the lockdown policy, namely (1) Government officials in their speeches do not have strong control to make decisions, local government officials still play it safe and maintain respect for the government above it. (2) Central government officials, which are represented by the President's spokesman, can only provide an educational explanation on what is social distancing and what is lockdown and the policies that are carried out; and (3) Representative government officials and experts criticizing the policies taken by the government have not been maximized and are not firm. The purpose of this study was to determine the i mplementation of the language politeness principle used by fish traders located in the coastal area of Bengkulu city. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. The results of the study are a collection of quantitative data about the implementation of politeness in language in fish traders located in the Coastal Region of Bengkulu City. Based on the results of the study obtained the following data; the average value of politeness application in wisdom maxims is 2.58 or equal to 64%, maximal generosity is 2.27 or equivalent to 57%, maximal award is 2.38 or equal to 60%, maximal simplicity is 2.42 or equivalent with 61%, maximal agreement 2.50 or equal to 63%, maximal conclusion 2.15 or equivalent to 54%. The application of the six maxim politeness politeness is still in the less optimal category. Fish traders in the coastal area of the city of Bengkulu should pay more attention to the application of the six maxims in order to improve their positive image through the communication aspect. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh data berikut; nilai rata-rata Implementasi kesantunan berbahasa pada maksim kebijaksanaan 2,58 atau setara dengan 64%, maksim kedermawanan 2,27 atau setara dengan 57%, maksim penghargaan 2,38 atau setara dengan dengan 60%, maksim kesederhanaan 2,42 atau setara dengan dengan 61%, maksim pemufakatan 2,50 atau setara dengan dengan 63%, dan maksim kesimpatian 2,15 atau setara dengan dengan 54%. In spite of its universality, every language have its own specific form of passive sentences. Japanese and Indonesian, for specific case, have their own rules regarding passive sentence constructions. Japanese passive constructions , are marked with the use of ‘jodoushi’ ( passive suffixes reru/rareru ) which inflectionally embedded to the roots (core verbs). Meanwhile, Indonesian passive sentences uses affixes di-, ter-, and ke-an. However, there is an interesting construction in Japanese benefactives , which semantically may convey passive meaning. Thus, they may appear as Indonesian passive sentences when being translated. This often leads Indonesian Japanese learners to misunderstand and misapply Japanese passive sentences . This study discusses errors in understanding and applying Japanese passive sentences produced by the 4 th and 6 th semeste rs of Japanese students of Universitas Kristen Maranatha Bandung. The study was conducted by giving passive and benefactive sentences to the students and asking them to choose which correct construction to use. Abstrak Bentuk kalimat pasif merupakan salah satu ciri universal yang dimiliki oleh bahasa yang ada. Oleh karena itu , semua bahasa mempunyai bentuk kalimat pasif. Bahasa Jepang dan bahasa Indonesia pun memiliki kalimat pasif. Bentuk kalimat pasif bahasa Jepang ditandai dengan penggunaan jodoushi (sufiks penanda bentuk pasif) reru/rareru yang secara inflektif melekat pada verba inti. Sementara itu , bentuk kalimat pasif bahasa Indonesia menggunakan afiks di- , ter - , dan ke-an . Namun, ada satu hal yang menarik . D i dalam bahasa Jepang terdapat struktur benefaktif yang secara semantis bermakna pasif sehingga jika diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia menjadi kalimat pasif. Hal i tu lah yang membuat pemelajar dari Indonesia sering salah memahami dan mengaplikasikan kalimat pasif dalam bahasa Jepang. Dalam p enelitian ini di bahas kesalahan pemelajar Indonesia semester 4 dan 6 di Universitas Kristen Maranatha dalam memahami dan mengaplikasikan kalimat pasif bahasa Jepang. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method with content analysis. The data and data sources are in the form of words, phrases, or sentences found in the talk show video of Coklat Kita Humor Sufi. The data were collected by using the uninvolved conversation observation technique. The test of the validity of the data is using investigator triangulation. The analysis technique with three components, namely reduction, presentation, and data collection. The results of the data analysis found that the response strategies that occurred were (1) criticizing, (2) convincing, (3) sense of wonder, (4) agreeing, (5) clarifying, (6) blaming, (7) explaining, and (8) suggesting. The response strategy is dominated by direct explanation. Abstrak Tujuan dari adanya penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tanggapan dalam program Coklat Kita Humor Sufi yang berjudul “Kesehatan Dompet”. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis isi. Data dan sumber data berupa kata, frasa, atau kalimat yang ditemukan dalam program Coklat Kita Humor Sufi . Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak libat bebas cakap. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi penyidik. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah tiga komponen, yaitu reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan data. Analisis data menghasilkan strategi tindak tanggapan yang terjadi yang berupa (1) mengkritik, (2) meyakinkan, (3) rasa heran, (4) menyetujui, (5) mengklarifikasi, (6) menyalahkan, (7) menjelaskan, dan (8) menyarankan. {"title":"Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Keterampilan Membaca Model Graves Mahasiswa BIPA","authors":"D. This study uses qualitative research methods that are adapted to conditions in the field. The stages of the Graves model implemented are four stages, namely: 1) needs analysis, 2) determining general and specific objectives, 3) sorting and selecting teaching materials and activities developed, and 4) organizing the content and activities of teaching materials. The results showed that the preparation of teaching materials for reading BIPA UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta has its own characteristics. This specialty is found in the theme used in teaching materials, namely \"Learning Indonesian Through Cultural Wisdom\". Through the material in reading teaching materials, foreign students are introduced to the variety of cultures found in Indonesia, especially in the city of Solo. So, not only language is the focus of learning, but also the culture and Islamic values that apply. This was done with the consideration that the BIPA institution was under PTKIN so that foreign students studying at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, were required to have knowledge about language, culture, and Islamic insight. In addition, products developed by BIPA teaching materials for reading skills are not only produced in the form of hard files. However, in the form of e-books in PDF format. The use of teaching materials in the form of electronic books can make it easier for foreign students to access and study them. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan materi ajar BIPA pada keterampilan membaca dengan model Graves pada mahasiswa BIPA di UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi di lapangan. Tahapan model Graves yang dilaksanakan ini ada empat tahap, yaitu: 1) analisis kebutuhan, 2) menentukan tujuan umum dan khusus, 3) memilah dan menyeleksi materi ajar dan aktivitas yang dikembangkan, dan 4) mengorganisasikan isi dan aktivitas bahan ajar. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara data pengembangan bahan ajar dan data uji coba. Analisis data menggunakan analisis data pengembangan dan analisis data uji coba bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyusunan bahan ajar membaca BIPA UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta mempunyai ciri khas tersendiri. Kekhasan tersebut terdapat pada tema yang digunakan dalam bahan ajar yakni “Belajar Bahasa Indonesia Melalui Kearifan Budaya”. Melalui materi dalam bahan ajar membaca, mahasiswa asing diperkenalkan tentang ragam budaya yang terdapat di Indonesia, khususnya di Kota Solo. Dengan demikian, tidak hanya bahasa yang menjadi fokus pembelajarannya, tetapi juga budaya dan nilai-nilai keislaman yang berlaku. Hal tersebut dilakukan dengan pertimbangan bahwa lembaga BIPA berada di bawah PTKIN sehingga mahasiswa asing yang belajar di UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, diwajibkan memiliki pengetahuan mengenai bahasa, budaya, dan wawasan keislaman.
