In truth, the essence of goodness may be found in every religious teaching, including Islam. To alleviate tensions between two cultural communities, one's ability to express religiously inclusive messages to other parties is critical. This paper examines how Sjafruddin Prawiranegara interprets inclusive Islamic values both philosophically and practically. Using a qualitative approach and intercultural communication perspective, this studi has revealed that Sjafruddin intends to portray Islam as accepting and beneficial, with pleasant and appreciating contacts with individuals of the same religion or different religions.","PeriodicalId":31785,"journal":{"name":"AtTabsyir Jurnal Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85112908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In an effort to achieve optimal targets, the role of effective communication is very pivotal. In this case, the right empowerment communication strategy is to place communicators as motivators, dynamists, innovators, and facilitators for social change. In this regard, students, lecturers, or companion teams as communicators must be on a par with the community. It means that communicator and audience, expert and user, and sender and receiver interchange roles in a mutually beneficial two-way interaction through which qualified social empowerment can be reached. The communicator functions as a driving force for the community to be able to realise their potential independently in order to become more empowered. This communication strategy is appropriate for the bottom-up intervention model of community empowerment; self-help and togetherness model, integrative-interconnected model, and asset based community-driven development.","PeriodicalId":31785,"journal":{"name":"AtTabsyir Jurnal Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88009606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A qualitative method with Foucauldian discourse analysis is applied in this study to analyse tweets expressing Islamist women’s activism published on the hashtag #Womenneedkhilafah. The findings have revealed that the hashtag #womenneedkhilafah is constructed through the knowledge-power relations of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia’s Islamist ideology by a literal-textual theological argument which is oriented to propagate Islamism and to create an independent Islamic state or caliphate. The manifesttation of the power-knowledge relation is by limiting women’s role, mobility, and authority over their bodies.
