The research problem concerns, how can drama become a tool for social conflict management? as for the object of analysis in the form of process data for the drama staging project \"Jalan Asmarandana\" by students in the fifth semester of the 2018 academic year, the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Singaperbangsa Karawang. The theory used in analyzing the data is Dorothy Heathcote's theory, as a theory of conflict resolution approach, namely as-if experience, reflection, and negotiation. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the research students might feel like they are someone else with the as-if experience training project, and it has been offered multiple views on an issue encountered by students through the roles they play. Reflection teaches us that life is a sequence of experiences tinted by life's issues at all times. Drama is a reflection of life. Although the advanced of technology brings development to the result of MT, the quality are still criticized. One of the texts that has great challenges and translation problems is humorous text. Humorous texts that trigger a smile or laugh should have the same effect in another language. Humor uses linguistic, cultural, and universal aspects to create joke or humor. These raise questions how do machines translate humorous texts from English into Indonesian? This article aimed at comparing the translation result and error made by three prominent Machine Translations (Google Translate, Yandex Translate, and Bing Microsoft Translator) in translating humorous texts. This research applied qualitative descriptive method. The data were taken by comparing the translation results produced by 3 online Machine Translations in translating four humorous texts. The findings show that Google Translate produced better translation result. There are some errors related to lexical, syntaxis, semantics, and pragmatics errors in the. Kasiyan","doi":"10.24036/humanus.v21i1.113549","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24036/humanus.v21i1.113549","url":null,"abstract":"One of the crucial-cultural matters experinced by all colonialized nations, not to mention Indonesia, is their incapability in becoming free from the shackles of colonialism syndrome. In terms of Indonesian context, for instance, this problem, can be easily identified almost in every existing layer of its civilization system, not to mention in fine arts, either in its artifact, sociofact or ideofact level that is under the infuence of Western hegemony. For this reason, this particular study focuses on: firstly, describing the construction of Western character hegemony found in fine arts in Indonesia; and secondly, identifying for an outlet from the issue of Western hegemony in Indonesian fine arts. The qualitative-hermeneutic approach was used to explain that phenomenon. The analysis of data found through out this study revealed the following results. West hegemony has become an obsession curse beyond all of desire, in its cultural performance in this postcolonial era. This is what merely called the ‘becoming white’ phenomenon. In Indonesian contexts, the construction of this phenomenon particularly in fine arts world is manifested in its hegemonic historiography embodiment that is dissolved in the Western centric mainstream. Hence, a set of strategic cultural processes are necessary to be conducted for the sake of finding the best solution towards that problem. The language of “gender equality” was mobilized by feminists as a way to incorporate women's rights into the international development agenda. Using bibliometric analysis of scientific journal articles taken from the Scopus database, which totaled 504 journal articles, this study aims to document evidence of research activities in 2012-2021 in the Scopus database, and visualize it using VOSviewer and NVivo 12 plus software. The article reports on the publication and its citation structure, key trends, and its growing push toward co-authoring. This study also visualizes the most prominent topics and authors in the form of a network, using VOSviewer's bibliometric analysis and mapping of themes and their correlations using NVivo 12 plus. The novelty of this research is the composition of limitations in the Scopus database, as well as data processing using VOSviewer and NVivo 12 plus software. It is a worth investigating issue to be seen from type of intercultural marriage the family chooses and how children adapt to their parents’ different backgrounds. This study aims at analyzing types of intercultural marriage taking place in Denpasar, the capital city of Bali province, Indonesia and investigating how the children from these families face the acculturation process. Twenty children in Denpasar city, Bali experiencing intercultural marriage were involved in the research. They were observed and interviewed to identify how acculturation takes place in their family. The study reveals that in the sense of acculturation as a process of adjustment and adaptation, it occurs in four types of intercultural marriage, namely (1) submission/immersion (being submitted to one), (2) obliteration (adopting new language and culture), (3) compromise (maintenance with limitations), and (4) consensus (full maintenance).
